***

The yellowish glare streaming through my window woke me up and I yawned.

"Rise and shine, Eliza, you better get prepared, the new recruits are coming today." Sean said.

I rolled straight out of bed in shock.

Why was he here in my sanctuary?

"Get out, Sean, let me sleep, I'm tired." I replied, yawning loudly to illustrate my point.

Sean smirked through my heavy lidded eyes.

"Sweet dreams, princess, but Ben's already up and making breakfast."

That got my stomach growling.

"Fine, I'll get up, but first, you get out." I mumbled.

Sean shrugged in submission and left.

Finally, some peace and quiet.

I threw on a simple shirt and jeans, I'd wear my formal stuff later.

I raked my hair through with a brush. I looked decent enough.

I washed up and sighed, flopping on a giant beanbag in my room as I glanced at a picture of a younger me.

I looked so much cuter then. I jumped up, put the photo back and threw open my cherry wood door.

CRASH!

Oops, sorry door.

Sean and Benjamin were glancing at me.

"Is the door hurt?" Sean asked, faking concern.

I sighed.

"Why are you so worried about the door? You should be worried about me, 'cause I'm the princess of this house," I replied.

Benjamin bit back a grin.

Sean chuckled.

"Princess Eliza, your brekkie is ready. Do you need more milk in your coffee?" Ben asked, playing the role of humble servant.

I rolled my eyes and tried the coffee, brewed Ben-style.

"Maybe." Sean said when he saw my face.

Ben shrugged and grabbed the milk carton, dripping the last few droplets of milk in.

"Hey, there's no more for me?" Sean asked.

"No, we're out of milk and anyway, you can take your coffee black, can't you?" Ben replied.

I laughed at their banter and finished my coffee in a swig.

Nice, Ben.
