Great job, Glimmer

Episode 2
Part 5

As the bug thing leaned its head down for the new lady, the rest of us stared in complete shock. "Guys?"

"Yeah, we see her (Yn)."

"Ok. Cool. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy."

As we stared, the light faded away, showing the confused and slightly scared face of the blonde. She screams, falling backwards. On the floor was the same Horde soldier that we had found, wide eyed and panting with the magical sword still in her grasp.

The sword slightly flashed, causing her to look down and Glimmer to grow mad and teleport over to her. The pinkette pulled at the sword, but it didn't budge from Blondie's grip, it did, however, pull her up off the ground.

The two girls struggled to obtain the pointed object as they shouted at each other. I groaned and facepalmed. "Not again."

"Stay where you are!"

"What did you do to me?"

"What do you mean what did I do to you?" Bow got up and started heading over to break it up.

"I didn't know being a princess was contagious!" Bow finally reached the girls and tried to politely stop them. "Okay, okay, everyone, calm down!"

His voice squeaked as he got a grip on the sharp item. He looked over at Blondie. "Wanna tell us how you did that?"

"I didn't do anything. All I did was pick up the sword, and then, whoosh, I'm in a tiara!" I finally stood up and walked over. Standing off to the side as I examined the sword, taking the details and noting them down. "I don't care how she did it. We just have to make sure she never does it again!"

Glimmer is finally able to pull away the sword, causing Blondie to fall back. And for the bug thing to wake back up and attack us again.

Great job, Glimmer.

We all scream and scramble away to safety. Glimmer and Bow hide behind a tree trunk while Blondie and I run a different direction. The bug's attention is on the princess and archer as it rams its head on the tree.

"Glimmer! Bow!" I yelled out before Blondie pulls me behind her. The bug backs up and roars before running to ram into the tree again. Bow grabs the sword from Glimmer and heads towards us. He holds it upwards, eyes closed, yelling out for blondie to, "Do it again! Do it again!"

Glimmer scoffs and teleports out of the trunk just before she was smashed. "Bow!"

"Glimmer! Don't stop this! The bug stopped because of the lady in the cape! We need Blondie to do it again!" I yelled at the princess. She needed to realize this and put her pride aside so we could survive.

"Blondie?" Said girl questioned me, but I just shrugged my shoulders to her.

Bow hands Blondie the sword before jumping between his feet, "Do what you did before!"

Me and Glimmer stare at the now crushed tree trunk. I gulp.

"I don't know what I did before!"

"No time. We have to go. Now!" Glimmer starts running as Bow and Blondie follow. My feet stayed planted as I stared at the crushed tree. I was frozen with fear. I felt a hand grab mine as they pulled me behind them. My sight was still trained on the trunk. Suddenly, the bug interrupted my sight, making me scream and turn around, seeing that it was Blondie that pulled me along. The beast destroyed anything in its path to us.

As we reached a cliff side, Bow and Glimmer fell in, landing on top of the other. Blondie grabbed me and pulled me towards her chest as she fell backwards into the pit. I clenched her red coat and closed my eyes.

Once we reached the bottom, groans were heard from everyone but me. I panted and kept my grip on the girl. She patted my back to signal me to release her, which I did, reluctantly with a flushed face. I stood and held out my hand to her. She accepted it and I pulled her up. We looked around as Bow and Glimmer slowly stood up. "What is this place?"

The roars of the creature sounded very close by, causing all four of us to turn around and look to the top of the cliff. There was the bug slightly leaning over it, screeching at us.

"No idea, but in there's gotta be better than out here." Bow grabbed Glimmer pushing her ahead of him and gestures for us to follow. We all run towards a temple or tower building.

Glimmer had grabbed the fallen sword. The bug tried to carefully crawl down but ended up falling and being crushed by some rocks, delaying him in killing us.

Once we reached the door, everyone but Bow had stopped, as he ran into the door. He started to feel around for an opening. He grunted as he tried pulling at a crack. Glimmer steps up, "Everyone, grab on, I can get us in there!"

"Glimmer, you can't. You never teleported this many people before!" I responded. I didn't want her to waste all her magic for all four of us. "Do you have a better idea?"

Everyone gasped as the bug rose from the rubble. Blondie turns towards the door, "What's written on this door. It looks like some kind of password."

"You can read that?"

"You can't?" The bug starts to head towards us. I freak out and began to hurry up blondie. "What's it say?"

"Uh, "Eternia"." The lines indents in the door light up, and the door starts to open. Glimmer grows mad, "Oh, come on!"

"Wow! So cool! You're amazing Blondie!" I stared at the girl and the door in amazement. She glanced at me with a red face and a soft smile.

We all look back at another roar, just to see the bug running towards us. Blondie pulls me in as Bow pulls in Glimmer. The door shuts on the beast's face. I fall to the floor and hear a body land slightly in front of me. I hear clothes shifting as someone moves. The room is pitch black until Glimmer uses her powers to create some light to see around her. I look up to see Blondie sitting up and looking around. "So Horde soldier, have you always been able to read First Ones writing?"

Bow and Glimmer seem frustrated with this fact. "Wanna tell us what exactly is going on here?"

I stand up and start to walk around, admiring anything that came into view but could only be seen with the glow from Glimmer. "I told you I don't know. I just read the word on the door."

"Right..." Glimmer chuckled. "You just read a word in a language that no one has spoken for a thousand years, and the door just opened into a mysterious ancient ruin. Sure."

I heard a small slap from hand to hand contact as Blondie stood to defend herself, "You think I did this on purpose? You think I wanted to be a princess? Princesses are monsters!"

"Monsters? You're the monster!"

Bow once again, tried to separate the two. "Whoa, whoa. Glimmer she did save us."

"I don't care! We can't trust her, Bow. Or have you forgotten all the bad things the Horde has done to us? The people we've lost." Glimmer's voice wavered at the end, causing me to freeze up. I swear, sometimes Glimmer forgets my past with the Horde. That I was one of them. That I was technically the reason for all her rage against the Horde.

The pinkette princess cries slightly, like I wasn't feeling guilty enough, and says, "We need to find another way out of here and get her back to Bright Moon as soon as possible. My mother will know what to do with her."

She talked as though blondie wasn't there. As though anyone that was ever with the Horde, wasn't there. This only added to the high amount of guilt already on my shoulders. I stood still behind a pillar, my eyes casted to the ground. I felt as though I should no longer exist, if I caused so much pain for one person.

"Hey, so, thanks for saving us from that bug thing back there when you could have escaped instead."

"Okay, well, I didn't save you. I just, wanted to get the sword, okay?"

"Are you sure it's not because you secretly like us or anything? I mean, you really helped out with (Yn) when she was having attacks. Glimmer and I have a hard time getting her to calm down, yet you were able to help so quickly." I blush heavily and slowly lean over to hear better, but not so much where they could see me.

"I've dealt with many attacks in the past. Not personally but when you live in the Fright Zone training to fight for the Horde your whole life, you kind of understand how they feel. I just wanted to make sure she feels better." Blondie's voice was hesitant, but strong in the fact that being in the Horde can be very troubling to those who grew up in there. I sighed softly with a slight smile, as someone finally understands me.

"Oh. I'm sorry about that. But are you really sure you don't care about us? Cause it seems really obvious you're starting to." Bow teases while changing the subject.

"Wh—? I don't like you guys. You're my captors." I hear their footsteps as they start to walk away.

I smiled.

She cared too.

She understood me.

She might help me in more ways than one.
