Adora is so pretty. Uhhh....
Episode 2
Part 6
"Thanks for saving us anyway. I'm Bow, by the way."
"Adora." The name alone felt so familiar to me. It brought back memories that I was forced to think of whenever I trained. I saw her before. I know I did.
""Adora." Ah. Weird name for a Horde soldier."
Adora.
Such a pretty name.
It really seems match with her.
With her bright yet soft blonde hair, and those pretty steel blue eyes that constantly take me breath away.
Her smile is so warm it lights up my whole world.
Her laugh is extremely contagious and pulls at my heart.
She's so tall and strong, putting any and all soldiers to shame.
So pretty....
I mean-uhhhh....Whatever.
By this point, I have walked out of my hiding spot (behind a sort-of-pillar) and started following the group. I stayed behind but any onlooker could still be able to tell I'm with them. Adora looked back at me, once she heard more footsteps, and gave me a small smile. I smiled back, a small blush on my face.
I looked down at my nervously locked hands, no longer wanting to make eye contact. I heard her chuckle, amused by my reaction, which only made my blush grow brighter. Luckily for me, Glimmer, and her light, was so far ahead that it would have been hard to see the red.
Suddenly the group stops and Bow questions Glimmer. "Nothing! I mean, uh... look at these carvings. I think this might be a First Ones ruin."
"What's a First One?" Adora questions. She looks between all of us for an answer.
Glimmer scoffs, "You've never heard of the First Ones?"
She walks away with the light source.
I gently grab Adora's shoulder and turn her around so I can explain some. "The First Ones are the original settlers of Etheria. They disappeared a thousand years ago, but they left behind a lot of old ruins and technology. Like this place, for example."
"So what happened to them?" She looked around with interest, her mind seemingly filled with questions.
"No one knows. They just disappeared. The Horde didn't tell you about them?" Bow answers for me, but I already knew the answer to the question. I didn't answer it, of course, but I already knew what she was going to say.
"Seems like there's a lot the Horde didn't tell me about."

Walking through another door, the three of us stepped into a new room with Glimmer groaning. "Ugh. How do we get out of here?"
I looked around, trying to find some kind of exit, but it was so dark I could barely see the closest wall. Bow walked forward and grabbed Glimmer's shoulder, "It'll take forever to find a way out at this rate."
Bow sighed then gasped before turning towards Adora. "Hey, you wanna turn on some lights, Adora?"
Her face dropped to confusion. "I don't know how to do that."
"Maybe there's a magic word. Ooh, what the First One's word for "lights"?" He held out his hands, palms facing us. He looked ready to do some jazz hands or something. It made me smile and chuckle into my hand.
Unknown to me, Adora glances at me as she answered Bow. "I don't know. I'm not magic."
Glimmer rudely points out the obvious through her mutters. "Obviously."
She hands the powerful sword to Bow and grabs her magic light. "Everyone, stand back."
I finally step in. "Uh Glimmer, maybe you should take it easy. We're a long way from Bright Moon. It's gonna take a while for you to recharge."
"(Yn)! Can we not say this in front of the Horde soldier?" She glared at me, causing me to flinch and back away, mumbling an apology. Adora gandered at me in concern, then crossed her arms at Glimmer. She looked angry but hid it with cockiness. "You have to recharge your powers?"
Glimmer groaned at me. I took interest in my dark brown boots. I took in all the dirt and dead grass that decorated them without my permission. (I'm proud of this line btw)
I hear some grunting, causing me to look up to see Glimmer with her eyes shut tightly closed as her glitter light grows brighter and bigger. She tossed it into the air. Once it reaches the ceiling, it turns into its own little pink sun, bringing more light and lighting up the whole room.
Adora stared up at the new sun amazed. I stood amazed too, but I wasn't looking at the bright thing above.
I was looking at the girl in the red jacket.
"Woah." (Gotta hit the w-)
Glimmer slouched as she sighed, causing Bow to rush over to check on her. "Glimmer, are you okay?"
"I'm fine, Bow." She grabs the sword, turning around. They gasp causing me to look away from the pretty- uh I mean from Adora. I see a giant mural of the familiar tall lady in the red cape. I tap Adora's shoulder, and point towards the mural. She looked up, and stared to walk forward. Bow glanced at her. "Oh, hey! That's you!"
"What? She doesn't look like me at all." Adora looked over at him. I stepped forward to help further explain. "I think he means the other you."
"Yeah, you know, the scary lady in the cape." Bow continues for me. I mentally face-palmed.
Adora turns back toward the painting. "That's me?"
I wanted to grab her hand to comfort her, like she has done for me many times today. But I knew I had to hold back. I took a few steps away from her. I couldn't trust myself. So I just patted her arm. My (ec) irises faced the floor, anything to avoid looking at her.
Bow nudged Adora and gestured with his head towards the giant lady on the wall. "You can read that inscription, right? What does it say?"
"It says, "She-ra"." Adora read aloud. The writing lit up, also causing the actual mural to lit up as well. We all stood amazed and shocked as it proceeded to light up the floor and the walls.
It wasn't until a hologram of a female popped up in front of Adora, that caused us all to finally move and jump back screaming. "Greetings, administrator."
It spoke. I almost fainted.
Almost.
Adora grabbed my arm and pulled me up back to my feet, adjusting her hands to my shoulders.
She looked sad and concerned as I brushed her hands off of me.
I crossed my arms and walked to the other side of Bow. I glared at my reflection on the floor.
"What is this thing?"
"What is your query?" It glitched as it questioned us.
"I think it's some kind of ancient hologram." Bow said stepping towards it.
"What is your query?" It asked again. I looked at it with curiosity, my head tilted to the left slightly.
"Uh.....Hi. What is this place?" Bow asked her. His hand enclosed around his chin. He dropped his hand when she didn't answer. He cupped both around his mouth, thinking he wasn't loud enough, and started to speak slowly. "How do we get out of here?"
...
"What is your query?"
"She's broken." I said, pointing my hand at her. "She just keeps asking the same question. Maybe there's some kind of glitch in her system. If I can find her program maybe I can fix-"
My muttering was cut off by Glimmer. "Of course she's broken, (Yn). She's thousands of years old. I'm surprised she even works at all."
She walked forward and turned to face us, the sword still tightly stuck in her hand. She turns back, pushing her empty hand through the hologram.
Suddenly, it turns red and spoke something different. "Administrator not detected. Lockdown initiated."
The whole room turned red and any doors that were once open, started to close. Since the building was so old, some doors cracked under pressure and broke/crumbled as it tried to lower itself. This caused dust and smoke to start filling the room.
I coughed into my inner elbow, eyes watering and lungs itching from the dust. Adora grabbed my waist before I fell to my knees. She pulled me towards Bow and Glimmer as they tried to get the hologram to stop the lockdown.
"I didn't do it!"
"No. No lockdown." The ceiling started to crack apart as the ground started to rumble. Adora wrapped my arm around her shoulders and wrapped hers around my back and waist to help me stand. "Adora, you gotta get it to stop."
Her face goes to shock, "What makes you think I can?"
I coughed harder as I tried to intake more clean air but just inhaled more dust. Adora glances at me scared as I gripped harshly onto her, coughing into her stomach. "We can't just depend on Adora for everything. We got to find a way out!"
Said blonde stiffened at my comment, but kept a tight grip on me.
The hologram spoke again. "Query not recognized."
"There's gotta be a password or something!"
"Uh, stop it! Uh, Eternia! Eternia!" Adora looks at the giant cape lady behind the hologram. She hands me to Bow, then turns to Glimmer, hands stretched out. "Give me the sword!"
"What? No!" Glimmer pulled the sword towards her body and turned slightly away from the blonde. Adora gestured back to the mural. "We need the scary lady in the cape! I don't know how, but she's the key to this place, so maybe she can get us out."
Glimmer's eyes switched between the sword and Adora. She clutched the item closer. "You're a Horde soldier! I'm not giving you the sword."
Something falls down to Glimmer, but she teleports out of the way and is now standing in front of me and Bow. Adora keeps trying to stop the lockdown. "Uh, Eternia! Uh, cape! Uh... She-ra!"
A crystal from the ceiling, right above us, cracked loose and was ready to crush us. Glimmer quickly weighed her options before grabbing into to all three of us. "Hold on!"
"Wait, Glimmer no!"
I passed out to the sounds of walls crumbling and Glimmer teleporting.
(There is a reason why reader and Adora are getting blushy around each other after only knowing the other for a few hours. If you want me to do a full background of the two, please leave a comment. I can use it for the next chapter.)
(Also, since my school has stared (Junior year with 2 AP classes and marching band), I might get behind with updates. The latest I will update would be Sunday. I promise if it goes over, I will publish what I have and start working on the next one right away.)
(If I fail to do a full update, I might do a short modern one-shot for reader and Adora.)
(Edit: 3.11.20 I just fixed the scene a little and made reader seem a bit more gay towards Adora but I am working on one-shots and will continue to slowly edit some chapters. Please wait for me some more. Thank you for waiting so far.)
(edit 2.27.22 no more horny from you guys)
(edit 5.20.23 guys... i graduated high school 2021 btw... just so you all know/were wondering. ill answer questions about school/marching band stuff but my memory, truthfully, isnt the best)
