The Play's the Way to His Heart ( Jonathan Joestar x Kali Jensen)

It had been three years since Kali had migrated or immigrated from San Francisco, California.  Jonathan was completing some homework assignment; his dad George periodically checking in on him, for he managed to have the day off.  Jonathan remembered Dio was at the dormitory, well his dorm room at least. But it would not be long before the blond would make a grand entrance in their home.

Non- traditionally and rather impulsively it was Dio's brunette cousin from across the Pond that had brought the tickets. Tickets to a new play that might be as exciting as anything the legendary William Shakespeare had created centuries before their lifetime.  The Joestar blushed with excitement at his upcoming date.

Meanwhile in her dorm room at the Julie Marks School for Women, Kali had also been thinking about the evening out.  She smiled as she pet her treasured feline friend with fur of onyx. Scarlett meowed as her ears were being rubbed. Her owner felt as giddy as the university schoolgirl she was. "I hope Dio won't try to irk or pick on Jojo this evening.'' Kali glanced over to a roommate that glances back, yet simultaneously staring into the distance - as if the other teenaged girl was half listening to her.  Cobalt blue eyes darted back at gray eyes. The girls seemed to be present in a glaring match.

It was not that the dorm mates despised each other: it was more of the subjects being discussed.  Sometimes her dorm mates both at boarding school  and at university tired of her going on and on about the Joestar.  Others found Jojo to be very sweet. "Alright, I will listen.  Maybe you can place a good word for me...  When you see your cousin.'' This girl had been different from her boarding school acquaintance in terms of a view of Dio Brando.

Emily was her boarding school dorm mate and did not take kindly to the blond; her university dorm mates and practically all her friends in general were intrigued and infatuated, with the lad with enough charisma to enchant Queen Victoria and Parliament. Yet he would always dismiss them - whenever Kali would match - make for him. "If I had four tickets I would have asked you to come along. Especially since Dio will be attending this performance.''  A  giggle was in progress as Kali although serious at times, was planning another chance for Dio to court someone.

She had already freshened up after class by taking a soak in the tub.  A few minutes ago Kali had re - brushed her hair: her hair was not exactly a golden brown, it was almost close to chestnut. She ran a comb through for another styling and making a simple ponytail with a gingham ribbon. The ribbon was a light green.  She went over to her closet, grabbing a solid color light green dress with a high neckline which she found scratchy.

Yet Kali knew that Jojo would be aghast if she wore something more revealing. Kali began to accessorize with a silver necklace with a heart pendant on it. It had been a gift from Jonathan from a couple of years prior. She wondered what he would be wearing although she wished there would be a date where she could see him nearly shirtless. Perhaps painting a portrait of him would be the occasion for such a thing.

A knock at the door could be heard by many in her hall.  "Your beloved and your cousin must be here.''  Her dorm mate giggled as much as she did.  Kali looked over at her. "Yes that's about right.'' It was only a guess yet it could not be any more correct.  Apparently the carriage had not been in much traffic. "Good evening to you.''  Jojo placed a corsage around Kali's gloved and fairly slender arm. She blushed and was almost rendered speechless - a rarity for her. Well, sometimes it had been rare for Kali not to talk much.

"Good evening to you as well.''  Both the girls replied to the blunet with the kindest heart.  "Hello.''  Dio remarked with coldness at the giggling friend of his cousin.  Apparently he had an idea of what might happen in days to come.  For  Kali had always been up to match - making since they were in their mid teens.  As the trio were leaving the dorm to get to the outdoors, Jonathan kissed Kali on a cheek.  She blushed and thought of all the times he had done so.

When they made it to the carriage and it drove off to the theater; an air of tenseness permeated through the two adopted siblings.  Yet it ceased as Dio and Jonathan calmly began to behave as though they were fully a family.  "Father wishes you would be home more.''  Jojo explained to Dio as Dio focused on the play they were watching.  "I will try to be at the Joestar residence - home - more often.''  They even shook hands like brothers and friends normally do.

"Jojo... May I add something?  This is the most funny play I had seen all month.'' A look on the young woman's face signaled she might have wanted to kiss his lips.  Dio looked at his cousin and his adopted brother instead of the actors and the scene - for the moment at least.  Maybe he wanted to have a girlfriend of his own yet was certain his heart was incapable of being love and loving.

Jonathan blushed heat rising to his cheeks. He was bashful and romantic at once.  "You already did.  And yes I agree. But more dramatic pieces are as great.'' Both him and Dio were used of going to plays. After the chat and during intermission he gently held Kali's hand more. And Jonathan began to kiss her forehead and her cheek. "I was looking forward to both you and a chance to rest my eyes. Not take a nap. But to have more time with you.''  She glanced at him and went right for his lips.

Her heart racing as much as his had been, their fingers intertwined and holding each others hands while embraced in a hug. They were both standing at this point glancing back at Dio for a few seconds. He did not search for a temporary companion to introduce himself to.  Sure he was confident enough to do yet none of the women struck his fancy.
