KELLER'S P.O.V

As Katie and I enter the school, it's huge size becomes aware to me. The hallways are crowded with fairies both different and alike, rushing around.

We maneuver our way towards our lockers. Katie's locker is located close mine, coincidentally because the lockers go alphabetically by first name. I quickly sort everything neatly in my locker, grabbing my books.

I then go over to meet Katie at her locker, starting to walk towards our home room class. Suddenly, I bump in to someone, my books hitting the ground with a 'thud'. The person seems nice, helping me to pick up my books.

After I gather all my books with their help, then glancing up to thank them. My eyes meet their own, it appears to be a boy.

How clique, I think.

He has chocolate brown eyes and shaggy blonde hair. I find myself staring in to his eyes, a deep blush covering my face.

"H-Hi." I manage to stutter out embarrassingly.

"Hey, um, sorry about that." He replies, scratching the back of his head.

"It's okay, I actually don't mind." I say kindly.

"The name's Parker." He states, adorning a quite adorable smile.

"Keller." I say, putting out my hand.

He shakes it, his eyes never leaving my own. "Well, I better get going. But I'll see you around."

"See you around." I mumble, even though I know he can't hear my reply.

For some odd reason I catch myself wanting him to stay. But I shake the feeling, continuing to walk beside Katie. We don't speak a word about what just happened, and soon enough reach our home room.

I spot another one of my friends, Natalie, smiling at her as I walk over. She smiles back, her brown eyes shining. Katie and I sit next to her, the day continuing to proceed.

Soon, my next class is Magic, my last class of the day. Today we are finding out what type of magic we have.

I walk in to class, finding my friend, Brianna. Her black hair is in a ponytail and her brown eyes crinkle as she smiles at the sight of me. I sit next to her as the class begins.

"Hello class, today you will be finding out what powers you have." The teacher explains. "It is a simple procedure. All you will have to do is walk up to the table and place your hands in the water. The water will then change color, determining what type of power you hold."

The teacher gestures to table in the front of the room, causing the students to 'ooh' and 'ahh'. I look around the room to see everyone's reaction to her words, spotting  someone familiar. Parker. He seems to be processing the teachers words in his head.

I then return my attention to the front of the room, the process just beginning. The teacher calls people's names, instructing them to come up to the front of the room.

"Brianna." She reads off her name chart.

Brianna walks up to the front of the room, gently placing her hands in the bowl of water. It turns a dark blue at her touch, this color revealing that she has water powers.

"Congratulations!" I say as she resumes her spot next to me.

"Thanks." She replies with a big smile on her face. I can tell she's happy with what powers she contains.

"Parker." The teacher states.

At his name, he walks up to the front of the room. A nervous look lies on his features, so I decide to provide him with words of confidence.

"Don't worry." I reassure as he passes by. "I'm sure whatever power you get you'll be happy."

He doesn't say anything, just smiles as a light blush coats his cheeks. His reaction to my words makes me blush as well.

He continues to walk up to the front of the room, hesitantly placing his hands over the water bowl. In this moment he looks back at me, collecting all his nerves. Then, putting all his fears behind him, he puts his hands in the water.

The water glows a yellow color, this meaning he has light powers. I cannot lie, I'm not surprised by his powers. Even if I just met him, I can tell that his powers fit him really well.

As he walks back to his seat he mouths 'thank you' to me, this causing my smile to grow even bigger.

"Keller." The teacher says.

I walk up to the front of the room, a sudden sense of confidence filling my veins. Without hesitation, I place my hands in the water. A weird sensation travels throughout my body, this shocking me because this didn't happen with anyone else.

The water shifts to a pink color, causing everyone to gasp. This means I have the power of infinity, a rare type of powerful magic.

I take my hands out of the water, walking back to my seat seemingly unfazed by the whole moment. Everyone gapes at me as I sit down in my seat. My powers may be different, but they certainly do not define who I am.
