    As per tradition, it's time for the Q&A. This time it's a free-for-all: if you have questions for me I'll answer them below, and I have posted some questions for you all. The feedback is greatly beneficial and appreciated. I know where I can grow from the things y'all do and do not like.

    BUT.

    There's a burning question in our midst.

Q - Why in the world did the Cloud Kingdom curse Ninjago to end badly?

A - "Ahahaha," I say with a mysterious glint in my eye, "so you've noticed there's plot seeds that I haven't tied up yet."

     And THAT, my friends, is why the Departed series is not a duology, but a quartet. Book 3 is coming up, and it is called, "By the Hand of a Thief". Book 3 will follow Storm Lightning as she navigates her life through the Elemental Houses, Serpentine Wars, and with the materials to either make or break Ninjago. Book 3 has already been finished by the releasing of this Q&A (April 25, 2022) and I am currently working on the aforementioned Book 4 of this quartet. However, just because Book 3 is finished does not mean it will be released immediately. Because we have...

     Book 2.5!

     As with 'Departed', I've written a novella with five oneshots covering 'Prophecy' characters or events. It's less fluffy than 'How I Met You' and more worldbuilding material. Book 2.5 is called "When Our Stars Align" and it will be releasing next week (May 2, 2022). Just like with 1.5, I'll be releasing a oneshot once every three weeks. After we're done with 2.5, I'll start releasing Book 3 (August 22, 2022).

Q – But why are we waiting so long for worldbuilding oneshots?

A - I twirl my imaginary mustache. "You see, I have a bigger surprise."

     During the timeframe it takes to publish 2.5 (May through August 2022) I'll be releasing a BRAND NEW novella. It is a Ninjago AU called 'Street Smarts'. More information can be found in my 'Departed Shenanigans' book. I'll put a link in the comments beside this paragraph. It's another Harumi-based adventure, but with epic twists and a darker plotline. I'm really excited to show you all this book, so keep your eyes peeled for that!
