I approached the policemen, chewing my bubblegum in my mouth, they were waiting, their metal guns out and ready at the sight of me. The sky was dark and it started to drizzle. A thin drizzle forming a small wet layer on everybody's body. I enjoyed it. I loved the rain. I felt the cold drops splatter on my cheek. It still wasn't raining heavily. Just a small innocent drizzle.

"Where is he?" Mark asked, the chief officer from last night, confusion written all over his face.

I sigh and stop infront of him casually, spitting the bubble gun on the ground. I could feel everyone's curiousity and confusion. "I have something important to say."

Everyone remained silent, not responding. There were about four cars of policemen, all of them eagerly waiting for what i was about to say.

"I lied. Mr. J never did it. I did the murder. I killed him. Handcuff me." I said, lifting my hands up for him to handcuff my hands. For a moment, everyone froze staring at me in confusion.

"What are you saying? Do we look like a jok--"

Suddenly, blinding flash lights flashed everywhere and the sound of machine guns firing in the air made me raise my hands to cover my ears at the deafening sound. I squatted down, and squeezed my eyes shut, not knowing what the hell was happening. I opened my eyes and squinted to look around but the gold and white lights reflected from my glasses making me temporarily blind.

It took a few more seconds before silence filled the air and I slowly removed my hands from my ears and opened my eyes. I stood up from my squatted position and blinked my eyes as I looked at the dead policemen infront of me. My heart started racing as I stared at the view. I could feel the throbbing in my head.

They were all dead. Not one was left to survive. All of them.

Rain falls in crazy chaotic drops, the gusting wind carrying them in wild vortices one moment and in diagonal sheets the next. It runs down my face as a thin layer, cold, drenching my dress.

I turned around and just like I expected, he was standing there, with a machine gun in his hand. The light from the streetlight flashing on his face, making his face visible through the rain. His shoulders were moving up and down, showing that he was breathing heavily. He was standing a few metres away from me, the rain dripping down his body, wetting his electric green hair.

No emotion displayed on his face as he stared at me.

My eyes never moved away from his and I walked slowly towards him. "Why did you kill them?" I asked, once I was right infront of him. I moved my hands up to wipe the rain away from my face, to see him clearly.

"Do you want to go to prison then?" He asked, his hair falling in front of his face and he moved them back with his fingers.

"I took the blame."

"You do know that ... that is not enough for me to make you stay." He said, grinning as he observed me, his eyes narrowing.

I can already feel the dampness in my bones and a coldness that creeps over my skin from the cold rain. The clouds grew darker and darker. The sprinkling turned into a torrential downpour.

My doubts were confirmed at what he said. He is definitely testing me.

"I will do whatever you ask me to do. I want you." I said, almost shouting over the sound of the rain. He tilted his head.

"But, I don't want you."

Anger flooded through me. There was no hurt this time. Only pure anger and I gritted my teeth. Anger that he is being stubborn at accepting his feelings for me. Why won't he just accept it and let me in? What did I ever do wrong that he hesitates so much? Sure, he must have trust issues but I did so much for him. Things that I have never done for any other person.

"Oh yeah?" I asked and reached for his hand, pulling it infront of his face, "Why are you still wearing the ring I gave you then?"

I could feel his body tense, his wide smile slowly disappearing. And, I knew I have won. He growled lowly, and I knew he was angry. His blue eyes stared at mine with such ferocity but it didn't intimidate me at all. Not even an ounce. Instead, my lips curved up, giving his a wide smile.

The water streamed through my hair, down my neck, soaking my clothes. The chilly wind cut through me like a knife, but I couldn't care. I was gleeful, overjoyed, and enjoying the moment.

"Why do you want me?" He asked all of a sudden. I was expecting something mean from him, but what he asked surprised me a little.

I blink, my face turning serious, and looked into his blue captivating eyes that always made goosebumps arise on my skin. My heart raced.

"Because I need you." I whispered.

"Why?"

His response was immediate and my heart beat increased wildly and I couldn't control it. My emotions running wild inside of me. I gulped.

"Because." I paused.

"I love you."

Time stopped. I froze. He froze, I could see his body tense up and my eyes held pure and utter love for him, and I didn't move my eyes away from his. He was mesmerizing in every way. An emotion flashed through his eyes and this time it lasted longer than before, refusing to go away from his eyes.

Fear.

They were swirling in circles deep in his eyes and I could see the inner battle happening in his eyes, he looked like he was defeated badly. From afar, people would think that we are a couple staring at each other but they can't see the emotions his body showed. The small twitch in his eyes and the inner battle in his mind. The heavy breathing of his lungs.

And it was all because of the three words I just said.

I was already in his heart and he didn't have a clue about it.
