The Jade
So since I didn't have any inspiration to reply to rp's I thought I'd do a quick short prompt story. Funny enough I randomized it, and this prompt is similar to the two new Oc's I'm planning on making. If you want Kyo's pov just let me know ^^

Prompt: He gave me it just before he died.

The overbearing sounds of screams in agony could be heard all around the misplaced child. An ambush right in the middle of a street in Japan. The child's eyes were wide with worry and tears as she looked up to her older brother, who was attempting to pull her away from the attack. The thought of hundreds of criminals roaming the streets was enough to wet anyone's pants yet for the young child, this was not the case.
"Big brother! Where are you taking me" the little girl asked as he pushed her into what seemed like a dark room, she couldn't tell where it was, everything was happening so fast, but what came from her brother's mouth reassured her. "Safe. You'll be safe here Tsuki. Just close your eyes and don't open them, ok? I'll come get you when the problem has been dealt with, ok?" he questioned, bending down to her level as her small figure immediately was engulfed in her's. Even the sky seemed to agree with her, the clouds crying as if they were crying for her. She puffed her cheeks in protest, but the look on her brother's face seemed serious, the way he didn't have that positive silly grin she adored, or how his body felt strange, tight even to hug. "A-alright Kyo" she sniffed, a small smile coming to the male's face as he pulled back from the hug. Her eyes lit up seeing it, and instantly she knew everything was going to be alright. Kyo shuffled around in his pockets before pulling out a shiny jewel. "The tighter you hold this, the faster I'll come back" he assured, extending his arm out as the sound of yelling seemed to be coming closer. Tsuki frantically nodded, and after taking the green crystal she held it as tight as possible, along with closing her eye, hard. It was almost enough to give herself a headache.
And just like that, Tsuki heard her brother's footsteps quickly fade into the background, and now left alone she slowly started counting. One. Two. Three. Four. Five. But not quicker did she get to six did a loud crash interrupt her train of thought. She jumped, and as scared as she was, Tsuki did not open her eyes. In trying to stay calm she focused her thoughts on other things, like where she was. With one hand Tsuki slowly felt around, the ground soaked from the light drizzle, and the feeling of a jagged yet smooth surface below her ensured that she was somewhere outside. It was night time though, and everything was dark. Even if Tsuki did open her eyes, she still wouldn't know where she was. Entangled in her thoughts the young girl noticed how the sounds of the outside world seemed to echo around her, and it was with this conclusion that she could guess that maybe, possibly she was in an alleyway. With her location out of the way through, there felt like nothing more to do left, nothing else to waste time on until her brother arrived. With exhaustion, eyes closed, and lack of energy, Tsuki was soon lulled to sleep, deep, deep into the inviting arms of dreams.
Suddenly Tsuki jolted open, and after blinking, she realized she had broken the rule. Don't open her eyes. Yet, she couldn't hear the sound of barely anything anymore, and all that greeted her was the sweet singing of birds. Hesitantly, Tsuki stood, and after dusting off her dress she looked around the alleyway in more detail. The night it had just been had turned into a bright early sunrise, and it was the light of the sun that guided her towards the exit and back to the main street. Her sandals slowly scraped against the concrete, and with each slow step, her kimono got dirtier and dirtier, getting soaked in the filthy trashy water left behind by the rain. "Kyo!" she called out, almost not forgetting entirely of the fact she was completely disobeying her brother's orders. Yet...something told her that he needed help and that she couldn't sleep anymore. It was a strange feeling, the way she had woke up, it was almost like a ghost had slapped her.
That didn't matter though, her entire body froze at the scene in front of her, and immediately the worries that she had forgotten about came back in a flash flood. The sky opened up once again, but instead of a light drizzle, it was a lightning storm, not ontop of alive bodies, but a pile of unknown men, and most importantly, Kyōryoku Chikara. The jade in Tsuki's hand slipped out, and like a pin, dropped onto the floor.
