Poem #3 (A day on the beach)
The soothing sound of the ocean lulled me into a serene state. The gradient touch of sand fuzzy and inviting me to dig as I planted my toes and fingers happily inside.
Skies clear, beautiful day, it was no wonder I came out to play
But as I smiled a rain cloud appeared,
It came from nowhere but closer as it neared
The once soothing ocean started to rumble, it bright blue color, fading, darkening into a abyss of black tar. It crashed against the sand, pulling me in, deeper, deeper, deeper, deeper
I can't breath. My sight and touch taken as if I had been locked away forever in a vacuum of space. I call out, but no one comes as I seem to fall farther into what seemed like an endless pit
Suddenly the liquid changes tones again, first red, then green, then back to black
Tempting me as I reached out to what I hoped was above, a life saver floating above just out of my grasp.
My body soon starts to vanish, evaporating as I suddenly rise and grasp at the object before being floated up in the air. Invisible. The world seemed to tiny from up here, I must be a ant, tiny to others who overpasses me completely.
Quickly my body falls, taking form just as I hit the sand, the water blue, sky clear.
The cycle starts again
