"He crossed the room in one long, graceful stride. It took me a moment to realize blood was soaking his hands. 

"Andrew." I outstretched my hand. My best attempt at trying to reassure the bad boy he was okay. Before I could get another word out, he pried his fingers from his chest and stared at the gash in his shirt and at the hole that the bullet had created when entering his body. 

I watched in horror as the bullet fell to the ground and the wound started to close.

"So," Andrew finally met my eyes, amused. "I just realized that I've been shot."
