Love lots -AV
Mitch was nervous, his stomach was in knots and he could not for the life of him even out his breathing. This was a whole new experience for him. Dating omegas was not something he did. Yes, he had briefly dated Kirstin but that hardly counted in his book. For the past three years he had dated nothing but betas and other alphas; though those relationships never worked out and were fairly short lived. But since there wasn't a plethora of male omegas at his school that had truly been his only option.
When Avi introduced him to the tall blonde omega that was new for senior year, he thought he'd died and gone straight to heaven. However, that blue eyed boy crushed his hopes when he told him that he just wasn't ready for a relationship. Mitch settled for being friends. It wasn't long before he got to play the knight in shining armor and rescue Scott. That was a few days ago and now Mitch was standing in front of his closet staring at all his clothes, wondering how the hell he was supposed to make it through this first date. He sighed before quickly picking up the phone.
"Kevin? I need help. I'm freaking out!"
His best friend laughed on the other end of the line, "Avi is helping Scott so I'll be there in about ten." The line disconnected and the boy sank down on the edge of the bed and waiting. Dependable and prompt, as alway, Kevin walked in just eight minutes later. He didn't speak, he walked straight to the closet, pulling out Mitch's favorite black jeans and a white button up, he tossed them toward the boy before bending down and grabbing a pair of black Doc martins from the shoe rack.
"Wear that. Classic and simple but stylish."
"Thanks Kev..."
The older alpha could hear there was something else up even if Mitch wasn't talking. "Spit it out. Whatever it is."
"I'm scared. What if I mess this up? I mean I haven't known him very long, but I really like this boy."
Kevin smiles, showing two sets of brilliantly white teeth, "you won't screw up. He likes you too otherwise he wouldn't have agreed to tonight. And it's okay to be nervous. I was a wreck before my first date with Avi, do you not remember that?"
The brunette laughed. "Yea, I definitely remember that."
"Just go and have fun. What exactly are you doing anyway?"
"Just dinner and a walk around the park. I wanted something simple so we could talk."
"Good. So when are you picking him up?"
Mitch glanced at the clock before grabbing his leather jacket, "oh shit! I'm going to be late! Bye Kev. I owe you."
The taller boy chuckled as his friend ran down the stairs and jumped into his car. Kevin got in his own vehicle and followed behind; he had to pick up his own omega from the Hoyings. He arrived a few minutes after Mitch and was surprised to see the boy still sitting in his car. The smaller alpha jumped when Kevin knocked on the window.
"Why are you still outside? Get out of the damn car and go ring the doorbell."
Mitch did as he was told, surprised when it was Scott's father rather than Mrs. Hoying answered the door. The teen was intimidated by the taller, older, stronger alpha and shrank in on himself a bit before reaching his hand out. Mr. Hoying shook it before closing the door and stepping onto the porch.
"It's a pleasure Mr. Hoying."
"Call me Rick, Mitch. I just wanted to speak with you before I let you leave with my Scotty. I know he has spoken with you about his previous experiences with alphas. Correct?"
"Yes, sir. I understand. I'm so thankful that both he and you are giving me this opportunity to show him that not all alphas are monsters."
"And thank you for doing that. However, I need to make this very clear," the man stepped back, looking directly into the boy's eyes. "If you hurt my son, I promise with every fiber of my being I will end you." The authority made Mitch shiver but he didn't back down. "Scott is very trusting, sometimes it gets him into trouble. Do not make me regret allowing him to go out with you tonight."
"I swear I would never, ever hurt him." His sincerity rang true and Rick stepped aside, opening the door, and allowing him into the house, calling for Scott as he did so. The blonde bounded down the stairs, Avi trailing behind, and made his way over to Mitch. The alpha quickly grabbed his hand as Scott pecked his cheek.
"Did daddy read you the riot act?"
Mitch grinned and Rick smirked, "something like that. Shall we get going? Avriel, your alpha is waiting outside."
"Thank you alpha Mitchy. Bye Scott, bye alpha Rick. Please tell Mrs. Hoying thank you for the snack." Avi leaned in kissing Scott's cheek as hugged him, also giving him a nearly silent plea to text him later.
"Bye Av. Please tell alpha Kevin hello." Avi left quickly not wanting to intrude on the small gathering.
After a brief introduction to Scott's mother, the two boys left. Mitch had picked out a restaurant based on Avi's suggestion that Scott enjoyed mexican cuisine. He asked if Scott would like to order for himself but as a model omega he declined. They ate and chatted comfortably. Soon enough Mitch asked the blonde if he would like to accompany him to the park for a little walk. Scott, of course, thought the idea was adorable. Once they had parked, Mitch ran around the car to open the door for the omega, who giggled and thanked him as he stepped out. Mitch intertwined their fingers as they started along one of the foot trails. After a few moments Scott spoke up.
"Umm, alpha, could we maybe like sit down for a few minutes and watch the clouds?"
"That sounds like an excellent idea Scotty." Mitch was almost ashamed that he hadn't thought of it himself. He found a clearing and pulled Scott along behind him, settling himself on the grass before directing the taller boy to sit in between his legs. The blonde followed instructions, leaning his body back against Mitch as the smaller man wrapped his arms around Scott's torso. They sat in a comfortable silence until Scott shivered.
"Are you cold? Did you bring a jacket?"
"I didn't. I forgot. I'm sorry alpha."
"No need to apologize sweetie. Just lean up for a second." Scott did so and Mitch shrugged out of his jacket, placing it on the other boy's shoulders.
"But alpha, you'll be cold."
"No I won't. I promise." Scott smiled thankful for the warmth the jacket provided. It also smelled like Mitch and that was an added bonus. He settled back against the alpha before looking up and excitedly pointing out the clouds he liked best.
"I like that one," Mitch pointed to a fluffy, white cloud, "it reminds me of you."
"How so?"
"Its perfect. When you think of a cloud, that's what you think of and when I think of perfect you're what I think of. Plus it's really pale just like you."
"You were being so sweet then you ruined it."
"I'm sorry." Mitch smirked but he wasn't sure the boy could see.
"Oh, my! Look alpha! It's a heart!" Scott was leaning up and pointing repeatedly to a heart shaped blob that was floating through the sky.
"I see Scotty."
"It reminds me of you." Mitch tilted his head, urging the boy to continue. "Because you're sweet and I think you've managed to capture my heart." As Scott whispered the last part, the small organ in question was thudding in Mitch's chest so quickly he was sure it would burst out at any moment.
"You have mine too Scott." The blonde smiled and turned so he was facing the alpha. Both leaned in slowly, making sure that it was what each wanted. It was and their lips met in a sweet, gentle kiss. There wasn't much fire or passion but they knew they would get there. For now it was just their first date, in the park, staring more at each other than the clouds.
