After a long break, I'm back with another prompt contest!


After receiving much-needed feedback, I'm hosting my first contest with the new set-up! If you're interested in participating, please go read the updated rules and other info in the beginning chapters of this book before continuing!

If your entry is in a book, state the chapter name AND name of the book so that I can find your entry.

Prompt List

• You are the king.
After your daughter is kidnapped by a dragon, you offer the standard reward to whoever rescues her.
However, you weren't expecting a different dragon to rescue her.

• The crows were back a whole week early.

• Sunburn is painful but moonburn is far worse.

• "Why? Because I am star dust. I do epic cosmic shit."

Word Count

Since I am holding this contest in the month of November—when I'll also be participating in NaNoWriMo—I'm setting a smaller word count limit than some of you asked for.

This is to make it easier on me, and so I can judge all the entries to announce the winners quickly.


Each submission must be between 1,000–2,000 words.

This contest will be open for one month.


Start: November 1st

End: November 31st

The winner will be announced by December 6th!
