The Pain and Headache of True Bliss by @Inuwanforall

The Pain and Heatache of True Bliss is a fan-fiction easily missed, and easily one of the most underrated Pokémon novels I've witnessed.
Immediately, you become drawn to the novel by the first chapter; you just can't resist the urge to keep reading further. The choice of wording, phrasing-its unique in itself. It's no Moby Dick, the words aren't ridiculous nor obscure, but the ways in which the author executes the description is-well-I can't put them into words! They add flavor to the sentences that so many other novels, not in the least just limited to fan-fictions, desperately need, and it's what countless authors vainly attempt to pull-off, but end up failing miserably. In itself, it's no small feat for an author to find the perfect balance between vivid description and simplicity, and that's exactly what lnuwanforall did.
On a completely other note, I'd like to empathize the exact opposite of the book's spectacular phrasing and description. Instead of what's blatantly shown, a theme that's subtly hinted; weaved throughout the seams of the novel.
Unlike thousands of Pokémon fan-fictions littered throughout the fandom, The Pain and Heatache of True Bliss isn't your stereotypical Pokémon journey. Erina doesn't seek the classic Gym Badges in order to "become the very best," and even saying that she's just on a quest to become a top coordinator . . . it's not that simple.
More or less, the storyline is a journey of self-discovery for Erina. After being abandoned by one who she considered her best friend, she finds herself alone, heartbroken, and betrayed. Her quest is a rediscovering of her identity. The theme makes the book especially unique, even among the diverse set of novels on Wattpad. The difference between a merely a good book and great is inner and outer conflict. Without the other, a book can be bland and tasteless.
Unfortunately, setting aside the countless positives-and the countless more I could point point out-the cover isn't intriguing. The art skills the author wields are clearly extraordinary, but the cover is blurry, the title and subtitle are small and barely distinguishable, and, with with it being drawn on a chalkboard-where you can see mistakes and erases-it slightly dampens the effect. A digital drawing would do wonders for a spectacular cover, or you can contact some of the amazing cover artists promoted on PWD's official website.*
Overall, an amazing read, and I just can't wait for more!
