I felt like the author did a great job with the setting; it was subtle enough to feel natural, yet clear enough to feel like I was there.

I also liked the pace at which the characters developed at. The author wasn't rushing it. They were characters, not caricatures. I felt like Celosia was very relatable and the author didn't try too hard to make her 'strong' or 'weak', she felt normal and natural. Einion is such a mixed reaction from me. I can't decide if he will be a friend, enemy, or maybe even a love interest.

It's driving me nuts and I must find out!

Donny is a nice contrast being the nice, healthy, supportive friend that he is to her. Lindsey and Nolan were well done as well.

Sure, the plot is moving a little slow, but so far I don't mind waiting. Overall the story just reads well, it has very few errors, and could really be something great if the plot thickens.

SUMMARY

"Tucked behind the blooming flowers of Floaroma Town is Fuego Ironworks. Celosia Fuego has worked in the shop for almost as long as she could walk and talk. She had two close friends she would do anything for, not to mention her team of loyal Pokémon. Due to her hardened exterior, she has a difficult making new friends and isn't entirely adaptable to new situations.
