After a tragic accident happens, January leaves her small home town and moves to Australia for seven years in hopes of completing her veterinary studies at University. She unfortunately finds herself back home three years later after even worse things happen. January is forced to stay in a place that haunts her everyday, with a sister who seems to be out to get her as well as a cocky Brit who takes absolute pleasure out of January's misfortune; including her very own name. January lands herself an unwanted job at her parents' extremely well known horse ranch slash horse rehabilitation centre and regrets every second while unwanted memories and nightmares spring at her. Isaiah badly wants to find out what happened to the girl who seemed to be destroying her very own future aswell as finding out what deep dark secret haunts her everyday. He takes on the job of trying to help the girl whose dream is to help others. Hospital visits become frequent. Conflict occurs one too many times. Feelings get involved.
