♥ Chapter 37 : Return of the forgotten ♥
ITS.....-
The power went out, even the artificial gems above the ceiling ceased. Total darkness was present. But...a figure from the darkness emerged.
"toLd yOU I woUlD cOme BAck" a sinister giggle echoed followed by a maniac laugh.
"I fear this time would come.."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nothing, all I could see is pitch black. I tried to roll my eyes around but no, there's no sign of Papy nor Sans. I tried to squirm and move but it was no use. Is this the end? Am I....really dead?
"fRisk, My dEar sisTEr. Its beEN aWhIle, hUh..HOw dOes It fEeL? How dOes it fEel to bE scArEd, friGHtened?" Her poisonous voice, swallowing my thoughts.
I remained silent, wishing that this was all just a bad dream. "SilENt, ARe we nOt?" She cackled, her distorted voice clawing my mind.
"Chara....please....stop this madness already, please wake up....this isn't the real you." I sighed and frowned.
"Ha! Never!" She spat back, still echoing around me.
"YoU'D jUST FOrGET mE agAIN!!"
She retorted, back into that deep voice in her voice. "besides....The game isn't over YET!" Cackling she went on again, as her glinting red eyes ceased in the darkness.
The earth shook beneath me as I regained my consciousness. Everything came into focus. It seems like I blacked out, but there's no time to lose! I need to find papy!
I staggered on my feet, walking towards the familiar blue figure. Till then I realized it was Sans. "frisk! i thought I've lost you already..." A wave of worry on his face, enveloping me into a tight hug. "are you hurt?"
"I'm fine, Sans but we have to find Papy, real quick!" He nodded in instant, but as we were about to take our first big step.
Black streaks from side to side, long tiny curled horns and a fearsome face welcomed us. "Asriel...?" We both watched in horror as he started shooting rainbows (lol, sounds scary x3) and stars all over the place.
"Sans, listen, get the other monsters out of here." Firm and strong my words were.
"on it, but how about you?" His expression shifted into a frown with a hint of concern in his eyes. "Go on without me...I'll show asriel the true power of determination." I smiled but his face looked crossed and unhappy about my idea.
After seconds of staring, he gave in and disappeared. OK, my plan is a mission impossible on the go but I still have to try. "Hey, Asriel, Isn't I you're looking for? Or maybe you just can't do your job well." I stood before him and caught his attention. I clicked the golden locket on my neck, replacing the old the necklace. It seemed to glow a radiant red, as I felt determination surging into my veins.
He seemed annoyed, that bitter expression on his face. His paws moved in sync as beams of light escaped from it. Zooming to and fro I ran and dodged, still trying to regain my balance after that blackout.
Undyne's training really paid off, I feel slick and light as a feather every time I move a muscle from now and then. "Just hand over that locket for god damn sake!!" He protested.
"Nope, even if you did have the necklace. Everything would remain the same, Open your eyes Asriel! My sister is not herself! You should've known that!" I huffed, hands on my knees, catching my breath.
"NO! YOU'RE LYING! SHE IS DOING THIS FOR THE UNDERGROUND'S SAKE, FOR OUR SAKE! TO FINISH WHAT WE STARTED BEFORE!" Gritting his teeth, he caught me off guard for a moment as I was sent flying into the air, landing onto the buffet table.
All my insides and outsides hurt from the collision. I struggled to get on my feet again and wiped the metallic drip of blood from my mouth.
"Believe it or not, she, he's just using you to fulfill his dark plans!"
"I DON'T CARE!!! JUST LET ME WIN!!" he roared, sending the place to crumble and fall apart, also, break my eardrums.
He shot a blinding beam of light towards me as I stood for the impact.
||Third Person's POV||
Bruises and scars were visible on the girl's body as her red gown were ripped to shreds, but pure determination was still present on her face. The force of light burned towards her as she stood and braced herself for the impact. Nothing came but a thick beam of golden light escaped her hands as it opposed with the swirling rainbow of light.
The forces between the two increased as one dominates over the other. But Frisk's power was stronger, she starts to win the battle as the golden light exploded and blinded the whole place.
As the blinding light ceased, Frisk ran over to see if The hyperdeath God was defeated but her eyes seems to play tricks on her. "A-asriel? A-zzy...? Is that really you?" She gasped, helping the unconscious furry little goat on his knees. Asriel stirred in response but he just mumbled "Chara..."
Frisk gave Asriel a piggyback ride as she started to head to the exit. 'Asriel sure is a bit heavy.' Frisk thought, nearly collapsing. Feeling tipsy all of a sudden, her energy seems slurped out of her. Her vision doubled but she remained preserved.
The locket's red glow suddenly stopped that's when Frisk was caught into deep thought. 'I feel so drained, Is it because of my powers? is this what Dr. G is talking about? How did this happen? Did I really brought him back to normal? If so, could I possibly bring Chara back to be herself again? I have to tell this good news to the others.'
'Hopefully, I wish Asriel is truly himself again. We could now foresee Pitch's plans through Asriel's help.'
Everything slowed before her as her knees breaks in exhaustion. Two silhouettes ran towards her and then she blacked out.....again.
~~~~~~~
Yay! I finally published! After years of waiting! Lol xD So, Frisk discovered something interesting about her powers huh, would it be beneficial? Or not? Is asriel really back? Welp, till the next chappie!
Bye bye dreamers! ~
