|| Frisk's POV ||

I roused from the bright light shimmering around me. I stood up, examining the place. The place is shrouded with gold and cream colors, from the floor to the ceiling as Tall pillars towered around me.

A blue figure in front of me, I squinted my eyes to get a clearer view. And there I saw....sans? "Kid, do you think even the worst person can change? That anyone can be a good person if they just try?" He said, tears streaming his eye sockets as he clutched his bleeding chest, a glinting sharp knife on my right hand.

"Sans!" I yelled, but no words came out, only a familiar sinister giggle. "Too late fat bones, your frisky is never coming back." I giggled in a shrill blood curdling laughter. Without hesitation, I lunged forward and slashed the knife on his chest.

"SAAAAAAANS!" I screamed, jolting up awake. I heard heavy footsteps from upstairs and there, sans' eye flashed blue but it ceased when he saw me. He sat beside me and enveloped me into a hug.

"shhh...its ok kiddo, its just a nightmare." He comforted, rubbing my back lightly. "I-i'm s-so s-sorry! I-i d-didn't m-mean t-to-" I frantically apologized as tears streamed down my face.

"ya did nothin wrong pal, I'm here, everythin's fine." He said furrowing his nonexistent eyebrows, as he wiped my tears away. I hugged him tighter as I sobbed.

After a couple of minutes, my cries subsided. "okay, go back to sleep kid." he pulled away, getting off the couch. I immediately tugged his sleeve, making him spun around in curiosity.

I nod my head no. "huh? don't wanna go back to sleep?" I nodded. "uh wanna go visit waterfalls?" he asked. I smiled and nodded. "okay, let's take a shortcut." he grinned, extending a hand for my reach.

I grabbed it, Momentarily, we arrived at the waterfalls. I sat down, by the riverside, hugging my knees as I stared at the glowing river. Sans sat beside me. "so, you're having nightmares lately huh.." Sans trailed. "Yeah.." I sadly said, "me too....." He sighed.

There was an odd silence, the rushing waterfalls and crickets present upon the cold atmosphere. "I had a dream the other day, and in this dream, a skeleton named gaster appeared to me." I explained, breaking the silence.

He flinched upon hearing the name. "Sans?" I faced him, a mix of sad and grief emotions on his face. "Is there something wrong? Do you know him?" I asked, as he flicked the tiny rocks into the river.

"he's my dad.." He sighed "he died a few years ago when I was little."

"I'm sorry...I didn't know" I placed my hand on his shoulder. "heh, its fine......what did he told ya?" He asked, changing the sad atmosphere.

"Well, he was warning me about this creepy girl who showed up in my dream awhile ago." I gulped, remembering her scary figure. "Her..." I heard sans mutter as he balled his fists.

"Something about her seems familiar...but I don't know what that is..." I said in confusion. "And for the worst....S-she p-possessed m-me t-to k-kill e-everyone, i-including y-you.....s-seeing y-you a-all d-die b-before m-me." I sniffed as tears flowed down my cheeks.

"kid, don't worry, I won't let her get you..none of those would ever happen, i'm keeping a promise." He smiled, as I wiped my tears away smiling at him.

"ya know, we should head back now." He grinned, standing on his foot. I nodded as he hoisted me up. Suddenly, tiny glowing insects flew around the place, fireflies to be exact.

"Fireflies?" I mumbled in shock. Fireflies hovered around the waterfalls, making the whole place emit a light greenish glow.

"heh..they come out here every midnight. that's why i offered you to come here." Sans smiled, as a firefly landed in his fingers. "they always ease my worries away." He grinned, as the firefly took off.

"someone once told me that fireflies are magical creatures that grant wishes, heh..i wished once, and it came true after years of waiting.." he smiled, watching them fly above the echo flowers.

"Wow...this is so cool!" I felt giddy at the moment, watching the fireflies illuminate a faint yellow glow. I caught one on my hands and mumbled a wish.

"what'cha wish for kid?" Sans asked, I smiled and sat beside him. "I wish everyone here in the underground would be freed safe and sound..." I sighed leaning my head on his shoulder.

|| Sans' POV ||

"Wow...this is so cool!" she felt giddy at the moment, watching the fireflies illuminate a faint yellow glow. I chuckled at her childish behaviour. Watching her chase the fireflies around.

I sat on a rock, thinking of her dream. Dad warned her about chara...She is after frisk's soul, they are preparing for his return...I cannot let this happen again, I don't want everyone and I to suffer from his evil plans. I should tell alphys sooner.

I saw her catch one, and mumbled something after closing her eyes. "what'cha wish for kid?" I asked, she smiled and sat beside me. "I wish everyone here in the underground would be freed safe and sound..." She sighed leaning her head on my shoulder which tensed me a bit. I felt heat rising up my cheeks as my soul beats extremely fast.

"hehe..me too kiddo" I smiled, side hugging her. The firefly flew on my cheekbone, making my face scrunch.

|| Frisk's POV ||

"hehe..me too kiddo" he smiled, as he gave me a side hug. I can feel my insides screaming for joy and butterflies swirling in my stomach as he hugged me.

I giggled as a firefly landed on his cheekbone. I giggled as his face scrunched up in annoyance. This is oddly familiar... I remember something from these fireflies, something with someone...

"Cmon frisk!" He yelled, pulling me deeper into the woods. "But my parents are starting to worry, its dark and dangerous here." I complained, clutching my backpack with my free hand.

"Trust me, your gonna love this!" He beamed as he pulled me in the center of the forest. "Okay, close your eyes first." He giggled, I tried to peek. "Nah uh! No peeking!" He said, covering my eyes.

I groaned fine as he accompanied me a bit further. "Okay open em!" He broke free. My jaw dropped in amazement that I accidentally threw my bag beside the old tree.

"Wowzers!" I squealed watching the little insects glow their yellow color. "Hehe...I know.." He chuckled, admiring the place.
"How'dya found this place?!" I said with glee.

"Tis just a place my dad usually visits to find specimens for his experiments, coz he's a scientist." He explained, I instantly grabbed a firefly and clutched it, close to my chest and I whispered to it.

"What are ya doing?" He confusingly said, approaching me. "Wishing of course." I smiled, blowing the firefly away. "Wishing?" He asked. "Yup, fireflies are fairies, they grant wishes." I grinned.

"Really? Coz my dad said they're just insects." He crossed his arms in confusion. "Yeah, they're insects alright, but have you ever wondered why they magically appear here in the forest? They always give off this wonderful yellow color." I smiled as we sat on a rock, watching the breathtaking scene.

"Tsk, coz they live here in the woods and that yellow thing your calling is Luciferin, its a substance that combines with oxygen through a process called bioluminescence, which is the source of their glowing light." He proudly stated.

"OK OK I get it smarty-pants!" I teased, pulling the jacket on his face. He chuckled as he slowly removed the hood, revealing a serious face. "What?" I mouthed. He immediately pulled the strings on my sweater to scrunch the hood. "Hey!" I yelled as I tried to chase him, but I tripped and fell on my butt.

He snorted and laughed uncontrollably. I removed the hood and laughed along with him. As we sat on a log shedding our fake tears away. When the laughter subsided. "Hey" I called him. "Yeah frisk?" He asked looking at me.

"Can you promise that we'll always stay like this forever? To stay as best friends?" I asked, extending my hand with a pinky straight on air. "Pinky swear?" I asked.

"I promise, pinky swear." He grinned reaching out his hands for the pinky swear.

~~~ End of Memory~~~
I smiled, some of my memories are flooding back...thanks sans. I yawned, falling asleep on his shoulder.
|| Third person's POV ||
As frisk fell asleep on sans shoulder, sans noticed her light snores. He smiled, knowing she would have a good night's sleep, he carried frisk bridal style and teleported back to the house.
He preceded into the living room and laid her on the couch, tucking the blankets onto her. He smiled and teleported in to his room for his deep slumber.
