Chapter 8: Lucy's Nightmare

I woke up on a soft king bed. I sat up and saw pink everywhere. It was on the walls, on the floor, and even on the ceiling. I instantly recognized where I was. I was in my room at the Heartfilia Estate.

My mother always loved the color pink, so when she died, I put it up everywhere. Even my Fairy Tail emblem is pink. It was like she was still alive, she was always with me. I lightly touched my Fairy Tail emblem with my other hand. It made me smile.

I hadn't slept in this bed for years. I hadn't had the chance since I moved to Magnolia. I was too busy living my life as a mage of Fairy Tail.

I threw the covers off of me, and went to my closet. I needed to decide what I was going to wear. My father would want me to dress like a lady, but I wanted to wear shorts and a t-shirt. I threw on a plain pink shirt and a pair of jean shorts. I also attached my keys around my waist.

I left my room and headed downstairs towards my dads office. I stood in the doorway of his dull office. I knocked on the side of the door to get his attention.

"What do you want Lucy?" He snapped at me. I sighed and crossed my arms.

"Well good morning to you to," I said walking towards his desk. He had at least one hundred papers scattered on his desk. He had his glasses in one hand, and a pen in the other. I took a seat in the chair beside him. He sat in this gigantic leather chair.

"What the hell are you wearing?" He said looking me up and down. I grabbed the edge of my shirt and looked at it.

"Comfortable clothes?" I kicked my feet up on his desk, and I could basically see his face turn a deep red.

"We have guests coming today Lucy, so get your ass upstairs and change." I sighed and looked at the other side of the room.

"I'm just not feeling it today," I said yawning.

"You are supposed to be meeting your future husband." I jumped a little at those words, a husband?! I wasn't ready for marriage. As I jumped, I knocked a single piece of paper on the floor. His veins instantly popped out on his forehead and neck.

"GET OUT!" He screamed at me. I was a little shocked, but I was actually used to this behavior. Even though I was used to it, it still hurt.

"I hate this place," I said as I stood up. "I don't want to get married to some dumbass who I don't even know." As I was about to walk away, my dad roughly grabbed my wrist. He quickly pulled me towards him, and slapped me right across the face.

I fell to the ground, completely shocked. I noticed that a little blood spewed from my lips. My cheek was stinging with pain, the tears started to surface in my eyes. I wiped my mouth with the back of my left hand.

I got so angry, I couldn't control myself.

"I hate this place, and I hate you! How much effort does it take to pay attention to your own daughter?! I don't like the fancy dresses, I don't like the fancy ceremonies, I hate everything! Mom would be disappointed in you!" I screamed at him at the top of my lungs.

All of these feelings that had been trapped inside of my heart, were finally free. I was sobbing because I felt so relieved.

"I will never be what you want me to. Who would ever want to be an inconsiderate person like you?" I said to top it all off. I pulled up the courage to lift my eyes to his gaze. He was staring at me with an angry expression on his face.

"Do you know how much I do for you?!" He screamed. "I give a nice house, good food, and a life that almost anyone would desire. Why can't you just be grateful? You're a selfish brat." That one stung a bit, but I just laughed.

"I don't want this life, mom would realize that. Mom would actually let me live my life. Mom would hate who you are now." I crossed the line. My furious father stood up from his desk and ran towards me. I covered my face with my hands, expecting to be hit again.

"Don't ever say things like that!" He said, spit flying everywhere. Instead of hitting me, he grabbed the pouch of keys off of my belt. I felt like someone was taking away my child.

"What are you doing? Give those back!" I was extremely anxious without my spirits. He threw the pouch on the table and the ten golden keys scattered everywhere.

He picked up Virgo's key, and looked at it. He put his hands on both sides of the key and snapped it in half. He made it look so easy, like a twig. I felt a pain in my heart.

"VIRGO!" I yelled running towards her broken key. The tears were streaming down my face. My dad didn't just stop at Virgo, he started breaking all of the keys.

"STOP, PLEASE!" I tried to grab them out of his hands, but he pushed me back. I kept falling, until I was on my knees begging for forgiveness. "I promise to do whatever you want, just stop!" I said in between breaths and sobs. My vision was blurry, and my words were hoarse.

"I think these spirits have a bad influence on you, so I'm actually doing you a favor. Most of these were originally Layla's, so I know how to break them." There goes Scorpio, Cancer, and Capricorn. He had one final key left in his hand, Aquarius.

"If anything, don't kill Aquarius." I said pleading with all my heart. "She was there for me when no one else was." She took care of me as a child, and had been with me for almost all of my life. He evilly grinned at me, and snapped the golden key.

I screamed at the top of my lungs and covered my ears. This could not be happening. I felt the remains of the keys falling onto the floor. I crawled over to them and picked them up. I examined all of their pieces in my hands.

Those spirits were my only family. He left me with no one. "You're a sick and twisted man." I said between sobs. I slammed the pieces down on the ground and ran towards his desk. I started knocking all of his stuff on the floor, all of his precious paperwork.

"Lets see how it feels to be left with nothing!" I said knocking everything over.

"LUCY!" I felt two pairs of arms wrap around me. I didn't even need to look at them to see who they were. I fell to the ground and laid my head on the floor. My throat felt so scratchy, and my voice was raspy.

"Natsu, Gray." I said quietly.

"Come on Luce, lets go." Natsu said as he and Gray pulled me off the ground. They basically dragged me out of my dad's office. My dad was cursing at the mess, not even looking at me. Natsu and Gray helped me downstairs, and out the big mansion doors.

All of my guild mates were standing right outside. Who needed my dad, when my Fairy Tail family was right here. I wiped my eyes with my hands and sighed. I left Natsu and Gray's grasp and ran towards Levy and Erza. I hugged both of them at the same time, and they hugged me back. I laughed, but also cried at the same time.

"Levy, Erza, everybody, I missed you guys!" No one said anything back. They were all crying and looking at the ground.

"What's going on?" My previous smile had turned to a frown.

"Lucy, there's something we need to tell you." Erza said as her voice trembled. My heart was filled with worry. Did someone die? Did something happen?

"Fairy Tail disbanded," Erza said placing her hands on my shoulders. She leaned her head towards the ground. My eyes widened with shock.

"What are you guys talking about? Where's Master?" I asked, not willing to accept this.

"Master left Lu, we just wanted to tell you in person," Levy chimed in. Mira, Elfman, and Lisanna were all huddled together crying. Everyone was either angry, sad, or confused.

"No way, there's no way we are going to let this happen!" I said taking Erza's hand. "Take over as guild master, you can do it!" I said searching her eyes for an answer.

"There's no point, we are all leaving." She took her hand away from mine and turned around. Everyone started following her footsteps.

"Wait guys, no stop!" I tried grabbing on to people, but they shook me off. "Juvia, Mira, Happy, come on you guys!" They all ignored me, too consumed with the devastating news. Everyone left, I sunk to the ground in despair. Natsu stood in front on me with a shocked look on his face.

"Natsu, say you'll stay, please. I don't know what I would do without you." He dropped down on the ground, and I wrapped my arms around him.

"Lucy, I'm leaving too." I felt like my heart stopped for a split second.

"What?" I questioned him, completely astonished.

"There's no point of being here anymore" He pulled my arms off of him and stood up. "Don't come looking for me, because I'm never coming back to Magnolia." He turned around and walked away.

"NATSU!" I yelled with the little voice that I had left. He kept walking, ignoring my screams of pain. "You promised you'd protect me, you said that Fairy Tail was my home." At an instant, everything hit me.

Fairy Tail was my home. We had been through so much together, there's no way we would break up. I remember moving to Magnolia after a scuffle with my dad. My dad. He's not even alive, all the memories are all coming back to me.

This isn't real.
