Chapter Twenty Two | Confessions & Actions

Zayn has learned so much about the Bro Code. It was like he was in a secret society that was made for all boys. He loved being apart of it. And his friends felt happy that they brought him in the organization. They noticed that it made Zayn very happy and comfortable because he actually gets the chance to fit in.

It was the weekend and Zayn was at his house alone. He didn't have anything to do. He missed his friends but he missed Kae more. The girl has him hooked.

He was watching TV when his phone went off. It startled him a bit, when he looked at it saw that he got a text from Kae.

Kae

- whatcha doing?

Zayn

- nothing really...what are you doing?

Kae

- I'm about to jump out the window..like no joke

Zayn

- please don't do that Kae.

Kae

- okay I won't lol but mind if I come over?

Zayn

- uhm sure..

Kae

- do you want me to come over? Because I won't if you don't want me to..

Zayn

- it's fine..you can come over.

Kae

- okay! I'm omw

Zayn frowned at his phone. What did 'omw' mean? He stared at the words before going on the web to search it. When it gave him the definition he took that information in.

After a while he decided to go upstairs and spruce up before Kae came. He took a shower, did his hair and picked out some nice clothes to put on. Zayn settled down on a black sweater and black jeans that had some rips. He sprayed some cologne and went downstairs. He even dimmed the lights down a bit until it was right. Zayn straightened the living room a bit just to make sure that things were looking right.

As if on time, there was a knock on the door. Zayn rushed over to the door but he straightened his clothes out before looking through the peephole—because he was taught well—then opened the door.

"Hii," he said shyly to the beautiful girl.

Kae took the wonderful sight in front of her and thought, "He's keeps getting better everytime I see him." He just looked so wonderful.

"Hey," she says to him with a kind smile.

The two walked in the living room and sat down on the couch. Zayn tugged the collar of his shirt nervously, he was going to —as Jerome calls it—put the 'mack down' on her. After their little Bro Code meeting the other day he learned a lot of things that could be helpful.

"So what are you trying to do?" Kae asks while batting her eyelashes at him.

"I-I..wanted..to talk?" There he goes, his words weren't that firm and confident. He was very nervous right now.

Kae took his hand and rubbed smooth circles on the back of his palm, "Can you tell me what's going on? You've been acting different around me lately. Is something bothering you? Know you that can tell me anything Zayn."

He looked away from her and bit his lip, "J-Just nervous..s'all."

"Can you tell me why you are nervous?" Kae asked, because it was really bothering her.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. His hazel eyes connected with her dark brown ones. Zayn was actually going say it.

"I-I...like y-you," he says then looked away from her.

Kae stopped rubbing circles on his skin and froze, "Y-You what?"

He groaned because he didn't want to repeat it, "I..I like you."

She's been waiting for this moment for a long time. Kae didn't expect for him to say it right now. But she had a feeling that it was coming sooner or later.

"I like you too," Kae says softly, she tilted his chin so he could look at her. "I like you a lot."

Zayn's bottom lip quivered, "Y-You do?"

She nodded and caressed his cheek, "I have feelings for Zayn. I really do."

This has never happened to him. Somebody actually liked him? Zayn Malik? And it was a girl like Kae? He really couldn't believe it.

He didn't know where this courage came from but he wrapped his arms around her and let out a deep breath that he was holding. Kae reacted and hugged him back, inhaling his wonderful scent. They sat on the couch embracing each other.

"W-What...about f-friends?" Zayn asked in worry.

Kae pulled away and looked at his adorable face, "We still can be friends. And if you want to be more then let me know."

He nodded, "Mh'okay."

What Kae did next he did not know was going to happen. She cupped both of his cheeks and pulled him into a kiss. He didn't know what to do because it's been forever since somebody kissed him. And Kae didn't expect him to kiss back, she just wanted to lock lips with him. She pulled away and kissed his lips again and again. Zayn's eyes fluttered shut when he started to move his lips slowly with her. He picked up on the rhythm and wanted to kiss her back. And when he did, it made Kae so happy. It made his toes curl in joy, and butterflies erupted in her stomach. It was something wonderful.

"O-Oh my," Zayn blinked.

"Oh yes," Kae giggled, she was even blushing herself.

"I-I..h-have..no w-words," he breathed.

"Aw you're so cute!" Kae wrapped her arms around him again and giggled. "And you're a good kisser."

"K-Kae..s-stop..stop it," he groans.

"Just stating facts here," she sighs happily.

The two sat there in the living room in peace. Soon light snores were heard, coming from Zayn. She tried to move but when she did, the grip on her body tightened and a 'no' was heard from him. Her heart melted.

"Life is so good."
