Chapter Twenty Eight | Time To Celebrate

Today, Kae was graduating from Conwrench North University. She was nervous of course because she would soon be starting her teaching career like she dreamed of. And so was Jerome, Liam, and Harry. The four friends would be walking across the stage today.

Everybody is at Kae and Jerome's house waiting on the Kae to get ready. The ceremony started at noon and it was going on eleven now. She took her time even though people kept banging on her door to hurry up. Even though she knows damn well that isn't going to speed up her process any faster. So she took her time.

She tried her best to be happy because this is her day. All this work has paid off and now she is actually getting the chance to finish this journey of being in school. But it bothered her that her parents aren't able to see their babies in a cap and gown today.

Zayn sat on the edge of her bed and watched his beautiful girlfriend get ready. Kae danced around in her bra and underwear while she did her hair. She was in a great mood and that made Zayn happy.

His eyes went to her small baby bump and he started to grin. Nobody knew she was pregnant, she planned to tell everybody tonight at dinner and he could not wait to see everybody's reactions. Kae is only a month right now, they have made love so many times already that they saw this coming. It's going to be great.

"Do I look okay? And be honest," Kae said with a huff.

Zayn nodded with a smile, he got up and kissed her forehead, "Beautiful."

"Thank you babe," Kae smiled. "And I must say..you look very handsome."

He had a black long sleeve with a white Polo logo on it, black jeans and white vans. He had his gold Rolex watch and his hair was slicked back with one hair strand in front of his face. She couldn't take her eyes off of him.

"T-Thanks," Zayn blushed. "A-Are..you r-ready..to..ug..g-go?"

"I'm nervous but yeah..I'm ready," she sighed.

The two walked out of her room and into the living room where everybody else was at. All heads turned at the cute couple.

"Aw, you look so beautiful darling!" Trisha gushed. "I need pictures with the two of you."

"M-Mum..please," Zayn groaned.

"Okay fine, we need to get moving anyway," Trisha said to everyone.

Zayn, Kae and Trisha got in one car while Harry, Liam and Jerome got in the other car. They drove to the scenery that the graduation will be taking place.

Kae looked at Zayn and took a deep breath, "I'll make sure you get a seat up in the balcony, okay? I don't want you talking to any other females besides me and your mother."

Zayn rolled his eyes playfully, "I-I love y-you..a-and..only y-you..mh'okay?"

"Okay baby," she giggled and kissed his cheek before getting out of the car.

"Can I please get some pictures now?" Trisha asked, directing her request to Zayn more than Kae because she knew that Kae wanted pictures. Zayn was the bump in the road to get any.

"Please baby," Kae begged, she poked her bottom lip out and gave him the puppy dog eyes. He couldn't say no.

"Fine," he mumbled.

The couple posed for the pictures as people watched in aw. They did a bunch of different pictures and they all turned out great.

"Aw, look at my favorite couple," Harry teased.

"Ug..s-shut up," Zayn groaned.

Kae glared at the curly haired boy, "Harry stop bugging my boyfriend or we're fighting, got me?"

Harry gasped dramatically, "I feel so betrayed."

"Mh whatever, let's go babe," Kae laced their fingers together and walked in the huge auditorium.

It was decorated with their school colors, blue, white and grey. Many people were here and it started to bug Zayn. He squeezed her hand and started to mumble things underneath his breath as people passed by and stared at them. Kae knew he was anxious being around these people, so they went upstairs to the balcony where nobody would be at.

Kae kissed his lips softly and gave him a small smile before leaving, "Love you."

"L-Love..you t-too," Zayn waved and watched her disappear down the stairs.

Zayn and his mother took a seat up at top. He was a bit calmer than before since there was no one up here. But being up this high did make him a bit anxious. Then again, his mother was here to comfort him.

"You know, that I noticed that Kae has this special..glow on her. Is she pregnant?" Trisha asked curiously.

"O-Oh look! I-It's..starting mum," Zayn said happily, like he really cared about the ceremony. He just wanted to cheer on his friends and his girl and leave, but this was a good distraction for now.

Names were called and shouts from supporters were made. People did a backflips, danced or had a funny walk when they got their diploma. Zayn played on his phone until he heard a familiar name being called.

"Liam Payne," the guy in the heavy attire said in the mic. He shook Liam's hand and handed him his diploma.

"Kaelin Rogers," the man called.

Zayn sat up and grinned at his beautiful girlfriend walking across the stage. Many people cheered for her, so he observed that she is well known to the university.

"Jerome Rogers," the man called next, many people hollered and cheered for him. Zayn was told that he is the star quarterback for the football team, so slid of people must know him.

"Harry E. Styles," the man called.

The curly haired boy shook the man's hand and took his diploma. Many whistles and hoots were made from mostly girls. Zayn just rolled his eyes. But he knew deep down that he is proud of him.

After the ceremony was over, everybody shouted in accomplishment and threw their caps in the air. Zayn sat back and watched from above. He wished that he could be down there kissing Kae right now, but he'll just wait for that.

"Running in heels was such a bad idea," Kae panted, her hands on her knees as she tried to catch her breath.

"N-Not..not good f-for baby K-Kae," Zayn frowned.

Kae rolled her eyes playfully and stood up straight "I know but I wanted to celebrate with you. So are you going to stand there or kiss me?"

Zayn blushed and became all shy, he did that a lot when it came to giving Kae affection. So he pulled her in to give her a short kiss which made her pout. He giggled then finally pressed his lips against hers. She was happy that he stopped playing games and looped around arms around his neck while he held her waist. Trisha was just over there snapping pictures back to back until she accidentally turned on the flash.

"Mum," Zayn groaned. "S-Save..f-for later..please."

"Too late," Trisha shrugged and looked at all the pictures she took of them.

"I-I'm..proud o-of you," Zayn told her with a kiss on the cheek. "V-Very proud."

"Thank you," Kae let out a deep breath and smiled. "Now let's go and have fun, yeah?"

"Mh'okay," he giggled.

Soon people started to clear out and leave the auditorium. The five friends took pictures with each other and then they decided to go out and eat at a restaurant that is very peaceful and lowkey. Everybody piled up into their cars and headed that way.

The atmosphere was so electric. Zayn, Kae, Jerome, Trisha, Harry and Liam were having the time of their lives. Spending this special moment together.

"And then she kissed me," Liam finished with blushed cheeks. He just got done telling a story about how his little love interest kissed him when everybody was throwing their caps in the air, he seemed very happy about.

"I say go after her," Trisha says.

"She's moving," Liam sighed. "I don't think I will ever see her again."

"If you really like her then chase her down," Trisha told him. "You can't let that stop you honey."

"You're right mum," Liam nodded.

"Ug..t-that's my mum," Zayn complained.

"Honey don't be rude—,"

"Speaking of mums," Kae giggled. "I'm going to be one soon."

Silverware dropped and the table grew quiet. Maybe it was just them and they are just hearing things..or maybe she talked to fast and they couldn't catch on what she said.

"Wait..what was that Kae?" Liam asked again for clarification.

"I'm going to be a—,"

"K-Kae and m-me..are..h-having baby," Zayn said with a proud grin. "S-She's going t-to b-be..be a mum."

"You're pregnant?" Jerome asks with wide eyes.

Kae nodded with a smile,"One month already."

"Oh god," Harry mumbled. "I'm going to be an uncle already."

"Ug..n-no," Zayn said.

"Wow..I wasn't expecting that," Liam sniffed. "Congratulations to the both of ya."

"Mh'yeah..thanks," Zayn said to him and looked at Kae who is actually glowing. He kissed her cheek softly and smiled.

"I knew it anyway," Trisha bragged with a grin on her face. "I'm proud of you two. You have all of my blessings darling."

"Thank you Trisha," Kae said sincerely and smiled at her.

The topic of the table was about Kae and Zayn. Talking about how cute their babies were going to be and how they are going to get spoiled and whatnot. But they weren't really focused on the conversation..they were in their own little world.

Kae laced their fingers underneath the take and gave it a light squeeze. As if telling him that their journey is just beginning.
