Chapter Nineteen | Defense

When Kae fell asleep that same evening Jerome grabbed his black ski mask and left the room. He went to the kitchen and saw Harry trying to calm down Zayn. He grew worried and started to ramble, he did that a lot when he was worried.

Well, Jerome was super pissed. He didn't like Niall at all. He hated that his sister was violated by Niall. Now, he had to take care of some business.

"Where are you going?" Harry asked his friend who looks pissed off. Harry couldn't blame him one bit because he had a sister of his own.

"I'm going over this asshole's dorm and beating his ass," he said bluntly which made Zayn cringe, he didn't like it when people cursed but he would keep that to himself.

"I'm coming with," Harry says. "I'm your getaway driver."

Jerome nodded and looked at Zayn, "Zayn can you please do me a favor?"

He looked at Jerome and nodded. Zayn didn't know what he would be doing exactly, but since Jerome was friend he was up for a task.

"Make sure you protect my sister, okay? Try to make her feel better because she is sad right now. Will you do that for me?" Jerome asked and Zayn nodded.

"Let's go," Harry said to Jerome and grabbed his keys, the two left the house with a mission.

Zayn cringed at the sound when the door slammed shut. He slowly made his way to Kae's room. He opened the door and saw her sleeping peacefully. Zayn didn't know what to do exactly, but he'll figure it.

Menwhile, Harry turned his car off when he parked at an empty parking lot that was right across the campus dorms. They had this all planned out during the car ride to the campus.

"If your not back in twenty minutes then I'm going to get you," Harry said seriously.

"Bet," Jerome put the ski mask over his head then got out of the car, he crossed the street and went up the stairs to Niall's dorm.

He knocked on the door and waited for Niall to come out, and the second that Niall opened the door he was greeted with a punch to the face. Niall was caught off guard. But he shook it off, he tried to get up but there was another punch then another. Everytime he would get up, there was a punch that came after until he couldn't get up no more.

He was knocked out. Even though Jerome wanted to destroy him. He couldn't because there was no one to stop him from his rage. So Jerome left him there and went down the stairs, he crossed the street and got in the car. Harry was shocked to see him back so quickly.

"What the hell?" Harry frowned. "That was quick."

"It didn't take much," Jerome took his ski mask off and sighed. "And plus I didn't want anybody to see me."

Harry nodded because he understood. Jerome was the star player on the football team, he didn't want to get suspended or expelled from school because of this jerk did to his sister. After Jerome calmed down, they drove back to the house.

Meanwhile, Zayn was in Kae's room comforting her. She had woke up crying. When Zayn awkwardly got in the bed with her, she wrapped her arms around his torso and snuggled her body against his. He was very uncomfortable at first, but he then relaxed at her touch. Zayn cautiously wrapped his arms around the girl. He has never done this before. That's part of the reason why Zayn didn't like Kae all up on him, it's because he didn't know how to react. But when he pulled her in she fell asleep again. He stayed up because it was his job to protect the girl that he cared about so dearly.

Soon enough Harry and Jerome got back home. They noticed that the house was quiet. The two noisy boys cracked Kae's door open and saw the two lovebirds snuggled up with each other. Zayn had closed his eyes shut and pretended to be asleep even though he really wasn't. The two boys closed the door and that's when Zayn opened his eyes again. He looked at Kae and smiled a bit. Her curly hair was scattered around her face that it covered her eyes. Zayn had tucked a strand behind her ear too look at her. She was so gorgeous that it almost hurt. Her eyelashes were naturally long and her lips were very full and plump. Zayn didn't really pay attention to her lips that much but they looked so kissable. He has thought about kissing this girl that is in his arms many times before but he knows that will never happen.

Well, he had hope of course. Everytime they were very close he kinda wanted to kiss her. He hadn't been kissed in a long time. And sadly, his first kiss was stolen by a girl that didn't even like him. It happened in highschool, but that was another story.

Kae was someone that he has never met before. She was very sweet and gentle with him. Kae accepted him and Zayn was so grateful for that. The only people who actually cared would be his parents. He never had a friend like her before. She was something different. And he liked that a lot.

Well, he liked her. Zayn knew some things that boys and girls did when it came to feelings. Nobody really liked Zayn like that because he was different. So he didn't know what to do when he was around Kae. Nothing like that has never happened to him before. And he believes that he is getting taste of what love feels like.
