TAEHYUNG-

The room was alive with laughter, music, and the soft clinking of glasses. Everywhere I turned, guests mingled, exchanging stories, toasting to our recent success. I had just finished giving my speech, expressing gratitude for my team and the success of our collaboration with Hales Textiles. As CEO of KTH Enterprises, I was accustomed to these formal gatherings, but tonight felt particularly fulfilling. It wasn't just another party; it was a celebration of hard work, dedication, and a promising future.

After I'd stepped down from the stage, I was quickly pulled into conversations with fellow businessmen and potential partners. The energy was infectious, and yet, as the evening went on, I found myself wanting a moment of solitude to gather my thoughts.

Just as I was about to excuse myself, my phone buzzed in my pocket. I glanced down; it was an important call I couldn't ignore. After excusing myself from the conversation, I slipped through the crowd, heading toward a quieter corner at the back of the hall. I navigated through the maze of people, focused on reaching the hallway when, out of nowhere, someone bumped into me.

The impact was slight, but it pulled me out of my thoughts. I looked down and saw a young woman, clearly flustered. She immediately bowed; her cheeks tinged a soft pink.

"I'm so sorry, Mr. Kim," she said softly, her voice barely a whisper. She held my gaze for a brief moment, her eyes wide with embarrassment before she quickly bowed again and hurried off into the crowd.

I watched her as she walked away, a strange feeling settling over me. There was something captivating about her, something that tugged at my heart in a way I hadn't experienced before. She was beautiful, yes, but it was more than that. There was an innocence, a softness in her that felt almost out of place in a room filled with ambitious, high-powered individuals. I shook my head, trying to dismiss the odd feeling. I was here for business, not distractions. With that thought, I returned to my mission and headed to the back of the hall to take my call.

Once the call was over, I returned to the main hall. I mingled with a few more guests and sipped my drink, attempting to push aside the strange encounter from earlier. But no matter how hard I tried, the image of the girl's wide, startled eyes lingered in my mind.

Just then, I felt a light tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see Mr. Park, the CEO of Hales Textiles, with a warm smile on his face.

"Taehyung! I hope you're enjoying the evening," he said, his voice brimming with pride.

"Yes, Mr. Park. Thank you for putting together such a wonderful event. It's an honor to celebrate our success with everyone here," I replied, genuinely appreciative.

He nodded, his gaze softening. "I'd like to introduce you to my family. They've heard a lot about you and have been looking forward to meeting you."

I nodded politely, following him through the crowd. He led me toward a small group standing near the front of the hall, where a woman with elegant features stood next to a younger woman.

As we approached, Mr. Park gestured toward his wife, a refined and gracious-looking woman. "This is my wife, Mrs. Park," he said, and she extended her hand with a warm smile.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Park," I said, shaking her hand.

"And this," Mr. Park continued, turning to the young woman beside her, "is my daughter, Y/n."

I felt my heart skip a beat. It was her—the girl I had bumped into earlier. She looked just as surprised as I was, her gaze locking onto mine. I could see the same spark of recognition in her eyes, though she quickly composed herself and offered me a polite smile.

"Mr. Kim," she said, bowing slightly, her voice calm and composed. "It's an honor to meet you."

For a moment, I found myself at a loss for words, something that rarely happened to me. There was an unexpected familiarity in her eyes, as though I'd known her much longer than the few seconds we'd shared in our earlier encounter. The way she looked at me—cautious yet curious—stirred something within me.

"Please, call me Taehyung," I replied, managing to maintain a calm demeanor despite the strange pull I felt toward her.

She smiled, her expression softening as she nodded. "Alright, Taehyung-shi."

As I stood there, exchanging pleasantries with her and her family, I couldn't help but feel a strange sense of anticipation. I wanted to know more about her, to understand why I felt this inexplicable connection. There was something about her that felt different, almost magnetic.

Mr. Park continued to talk about the collaboration and our plans for future projects, but my mind kept drifting back to Y/n. Every now and then, our eyes would meet, and each time, it felt like a silent exchange, as though we were the only two people in the room.

Eventually, Mr. Park excused himself to greet other guests, and Y/N's mother followed, leaving the two of us alone for a moment. I looked down at her, and she glanced up, her cheeks pink under my gaze.

"Enjoying the party?" I asked, trying to sound casual.

She nodded, a shy smile gracing her lips. "Yes, it's quite grand. My father has spoken very highly of you and your company."

There was something genuine in her words, something that made me feel comfortable despite the formal setting. "Your father is an impressive businessman. It's been a pleasure working with him."

She looked at me, her expression softening. "He thinks highly of you as well. I think... this collaboration meant a lot to him."

There was a pause, a brief silence that neither of us rushed to fill. For some reason, standing there with her felt strangely natural, as if we'd known each other for much longer.

Finally, she looked away, taking a small step back. "Well, I should probably join my parents. It was nice meeting you, Taehyung-shi."

"Likewise, Y/n," I replied, my voice coming out softer than I intended.

As she walked away, I felt an odd sense of loss, as if something important had slipped through my fingers. I watched her rejoin her family, her laughter reaching my ears as she spoke to her mother.

This night was supposed to be about celebrating our success, about solidifying business relationships and discussing future projects. But now, all I could think about was the girl with the soft eyes and shy smile who had managed to leave a lasting impression on me in such a short time.

I tried to dismiss it, to refocus my thoughts on work, but deep down, I knew I'd remember this moment. Meeting her felt like the beginning of something I couldn't quite define.

Y/N-

I couldn't believe it. Out of all the people at this party, I had to bump into him —Kim Taehyung, the CEO of KTH Enterprises.

I had just been trying to find a quiet spot when I collided with him, and of course, being the awkward mess that I am, I had to apologize profusely and bow, as if that would somehow make the situation better. My heart was racing in my chest, and I could feel my cheeks burning from embarrassment.

"Sorry, Mr. Kim," I had stammered, hoping I hadn't caused any kind of scene. I rushed off as quickly as I could, my pulse still pounding. I didn't even know why I was so flustered. After all, I had only admired him from afar—his work ethic, his success. He was a well-respected businessman, the kind of person I would never have the chance to interact with in my day-to-day life.

I wasn't prepared for what happened next. Just when I thought I had escaped the situation, My father led me over to meet him. My stomach sank as the realization hit me.

He was introducing me to Kim Taehyung. The man I had just bumped into.

I could feel my face turning beet red as he extended his hand toward me, and I couldn't do anything but take it in return. My mind felt foggy, and I stammered, "Nice to meet you, Mr. Kim," my voice barely above a whisper.

What was I supposed to say? I had just literally bumped into him, and now I was standing in front of him like some awkward schoolgirl. How embarrassing! He was probably wondering why I seemed so off-balance around him.

I tried to maintain my composure, hoping that I wasn't giving away how flustered I truly felt. But I couldn't help it. There was something about him—the way he carried himself, so confident and composed—that made me feel small in comparison.

Still, I couldn't bring myself to see him as anything other than the impressive businessman he was. His reputation spoke for itself. I had no delusions that someone like him would even spare a second thought about someone like me.

As I finally managed to regain some semblance of control over myself, I could feel my nerves start to settle—at least, a little. But I couldn't help feeling that, somehow, my life had just become a little more complicated.
