Felix's POV:

I walk grab the back of a shiny wooden chair, and sit down, staring at the meal in front of me. My mouth watered at the smell, and I picked up a pointy, silver object to my right-- a fork. Riella quickly looks at me, and I chuckle. I nod to her, my dark amber eyes twinkling. "Of course you may eat, Riella," I laugh, glancing towards the woman who sat in between us. She glanced towards Riella, then back to me.

"Well?" Arachne asks, watching our Riella's silent inquiry and my own reply. They look like lovers to the unknowing eye, she thinks, storing the fact into the back of her long-term memory.

"Are you both real siblings?" Arachne asks, looking down at her plate, curiosity evident in her clear, crisp voice.

"Not in blood," Riella answers defensively and quickly.

" Then how long have you known one another?" Arachne asks, poking her fork into the substance on the white, clean plate.

"15 years, 2 months, and 21 days," Riella answers. She growled to herself, and I gave her a questioning, side-ways look. She stabbed the shiny utensil into the white fluff. Her eyes widened as the piece she had ripped off entered her mouth. She turned to me, her eye widened in surprise, and grabs my hand, forcing me to cut off a piece of the food and shove it into my mouth.

"Ri-" I gasp, trying to understand what she was doing.

"Its delicious," she insisted, staring at me. "Isn't it good?"

I started to chew the food, and opened my mouth slightly in surprise. A delicious sweetness flooded my tastebuds, and I swallowed it, looking down to the plate. I look over to Riella's plate, seeing she had more, and I stick my fork into the side, ripping off a chunk and shoving it into my mouth.

"Calm down Riella; Felix, there's plenty more!" Arachne interrupts as she watches my ears flatten and my surprised reaction turn into a big grin. Canines poked over my lip, slightly."Calm yourselves, it's only cake," she says, suppressing another laugh.

"Whats cake?" Riella and I ask at the same time. I look at her and smile even bigger, my cheeks full of cake.

"Please tell me you've had cake before..." Arachne begins, shaking her head and setting her fork down. "The bastards never gave you anything good, did they?" she walks over to the sink, bending over and grabbing a container. I whipped my head around, my nose twitching as I smelt the contents of inside the container. I looked over at Riella, who seemed to be in a trance, staring at the container Arachne held.

"Bro--Felix, she has more,"Riella stutters, remembering my new name. She hops onto the table, and onto the floor.

"I want some too sis!" I yowl after her, leaping out of my seat.

I could feel myself starting to change as I stood, crouching, facing Riella as she faced me, Arachne in the middle, her eyes widened in surprise. She starts to giggle, and I look over the same time Riella does to see Arachne holding not one, but two containers of the white and red dessert. Arachne nearly drops the containers, guffawing.

Riella bounds towards her, grabbing the container on top. "What is this called?" she asks, looking at the startled woman. "I want to know what it's called."

"Like I said, it's cake. It's a strawberry marble cake to be exact." she says, smiling.

I twitch an ear, grabbing the other container she held, before asking, "Where will we be going after this?"

"I was hoping you both would stay here," Arachne says, offering her hand to me for what seemed to be a handshake. A sense of fear and distrust flashed over me. My eyes flicked towards Riella quickly, to make sure she was in a safe position.

"Are you alright with my little sister and I staying?" I ask softly, but I couldn't hide the fact that I was hopeful that she would say yes.

"Of course I am," she replies, and I grip her hand. She shakes it, and I look surprised, but follow the movement.

She smiles a warm grin, and I can't help but feel hope and belonging. I haven't felt this way since... well, I can't remember the last time I felt like this. I smiled back, nodding to Riella. This was home.
