It was a couple days after Chanyeol's death that Junmyeon announced that they all had to go to a memorial concert in his name that day. Everyone was reluctant to go, but Baekhyun was by far the most reluctant while wishing that he could just disappear. He didn't want to relive those memories of Chanyeol just yet. Maybe another day, but not that one.

After much fussing, he eventually got ready in a nice casual suit that was a present from Chanyeol years ago. He even managed to find those elemental power rings from their debut days and wore his star ring and Chanyeol's Phoenix ring on the same hand. This would be how he forever reminds himself of the one he found and lost.

Standing on stage with the other members, Baekhyun never felt more alone. The fans all around had signs saying sorry about Chanyeol and for them to stay strong. It was painful to see everyone crying out in the audience. They were just as affected by Chanyeol's death as EXO themselves were.

Right as the members were thinking they were about to introduce themselves, an all to familiar voice echoed out throughout the speakers of the large stadium.

"Hello there everyone! Hey guys on stage, yeah you dweebs, turn around!"

Baekhyun and the other members whipped around to see a large projection of a video Chanyeol took from when he was in the hospital on the back wall of the main stage. "Now I bet you're all looking at me scared, well, I'm actually dead so don't get any hopes." He laughed dryly.

Cries from the audience grew louder as they saw Chanyeol's beautiful smile. Even Baekhyun could feel his composure slipping.

"Now before anyone freaks, let me just say that I made this entire video while in the hospital. That's why, my beloved Baekhyunnie, I couldn't let you come and see me... I hope you don't hate me for it!"

He could never hate him. Not in a million years.

"Also Mama Suho helped put this concert thingy together and also edited in the final clips to this video since I took it the night I passed away so everyone better thank him! But as much as I love all of you out there, EXO idio- I mean brothers and fans alike, I have an announcement to make on behalf of myself and the love of my life.

BYUN BAEKHYUN AND I ARE IN LOVE!

Wow that felt good to scream, but I probably shouldn't have done that in a hospital huh?" Chanyeol chuckled while a nurse came into his room and shushed him. "See told you.~"

Kyungsoo and Jongdae walked on either side of Baekhyun and held his hands as he tried not to cry. But seeing Chanyeol, hearing his voice, and just having him there once again was bringing those damn tears back.

"Now it's time for my slide show! I'll talk more after my videos alright? So don't worry, I'll be back in a bit.~"

That part of the video clipped out and another took it's place. It was of the first night when Baekhyun and him had wandered off to the park late at night. When did Chanyeol bring a camera with him?

"I have to be quiet." Chanyeol giggled as he took a video of Baekhyun sleeping in his arms on the grassy ground. "But isn't he just adorable? I'm so lucky to have you Baekhyunnie."

Another clip then appeared.

          The first thing that showed up was that beautiful sunset the two of them watched that one morning. "Hey Baek, do you see this sunrise? I wish we could watch it together! But I don't want to wake you while you sleep in my bed..."

          He thought for a bit before suddenly hearing Baekhyun's footsteps nearing the balcony and having a small panic attack. "Wait, why'd you get up so early?! Ahhhh!" The poor giant practically shrieked  as he hurriedly turned off the camera.

            "You know when I said I wanted you to watch it with me, I was being funny! I didn't know you'd actually do it." Chanyeol laughed as he laid in bed with Baekhyun in his arms, snuggled up to his chest again. "Ah but you always look so cute sleeping like this so I'll forgive you for this morning.~"

Pictures suddenly began flipping through like a gallery as they showed all the hidden images Chanyeol took of Baekhyun when he knew he wasn't looking. Sleeping, eating, crying, smiling, blushing, even a few of them kissing. All the pictures were so perfect and at this point had Baekhyun in tears while Jongdae and Kyungsoo continued to hold his hands.

"I hoped you like what I put together Baek. I made it all just for you to keep after I'm gone since we both know you're way too lazy to make your own scrapbook." Chanyeol smiled all derp like to the video camera while sitting back in his hospital bed. "Now I want to sing you a song I've written while in the hospital... You'll listen won't you?"

"Of course." Baekhyun whimpered with a small smile.

Sometimes, I close the door and fall into my thoughts,

Baekhyun couldn't stop himself from dropping to his knees as he took in the heavenly voice that belonged to his love, Park Chanyeol. Kyungsoo and Jongdae walked away from him as to give the boy some space while he enjoyed Chanyeol's song that was made just for him.

"I know I always promised you that I wouldn't be going anywhere, but when I said time wasn't on our side, I meant it. And the fact you always waited for me at the park, how your smiles began having tears behind them, how you were slowly breaking apart from the inside out, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry I put you through all this." Chanyeol spoke from his hospital bed with a sad smile along with tears brimming his eyes. "But just know that at this moment, I'm hugging you as tightly as I can while you cry because we both know you would be at this point in my video." He then laughed.

"I love everything about you Byun Baekhyun. But something I just realized, we never actually asked each other to date. Funny right? So I'll ask you now, Baekhyunnie, will you be my boyfriend? I know you would have said yes so I'll just pretend that you did."

Baekhyun couldn't stop the stupid smile that began tugging at the corners of his lips as he watched Chanyeol try to keep himself from crying on the video.

"Ah I'm really tired now Baekhyunnie... I'm probably going to go to sleep for a bit. But don't worry, I'm coming home tomorrow so we can spend my last day together like I wanted since I collapsed on stage months ago." Chanyeol said with a bright smile as those silent tears he had tried to hold back slowly slipped down his cheeks. "But I'll say goodbye now just in case my video tomorrow stinks. I love you Byun Baekhyun. I've loved you from the beginning of time, I'm sure of it. Be happy my love and don't forget your beloved, idiotic Happy Virus! From the love of your life and your new found boyfriend, Park Chanyeol.~" With a kiss blown to the camera, the clip of Chanyeol cut off as another replaced it for the final time.

          "And I don't think I've ever said this to you yet... But Byun Baekhyun, I love you."

          It was a video of the last night they shared together. Baekhyun was cuddled up closely to a very sickly looking Chanyeol who was smiling from ear to ear with tears welling up in the corners of his eyes. He was awake this time on camera even though his face was covered by Chanyeol's chest. This was the first and last time Baekhyun would ever tell Chanyeol those few three words.

          "I love you to Park Chanyeol, forever and always..." He sobbed back.

The video then clipped to a little later when Baekhyun had already fallen asleep in his arms.

          "No matter what Baekhyun, I'll love you regardless if I'm dead or alive. But you have to move on alright? Don't forget me, but don't keep yourself from happiness either... I'm sorry I broke my promise to you, but please believe me when I said I love you this night. Please don't doubt anything we shared. I truly love you and I'll always be right there by your side until the day we can be reunited. I love you Byun Baekhyun, and I'm sorry for leaving you like this. Goodbye my love... Have pleasant dreams and promise me you'll be happy in the future..."

          The video slowly faded out and that was the end of Chanyeol's video. The entire audience was in tears and so were the other EXO members.

          Baekhyun was on his knees with his face buried into his hands as his body violently shook with his cries. The other members had given him space while he took in everything that video was and the song Chanyeol sang to him. Baekhyun needed some time to let his heart piece itself back together again.

          "I miss you..." He cried softly to Chanyeol who he hoped was listening to him at that moment.

          Suddenly Baekhyun felt a pair of arms that belonged to a larger person wrap around his waist and also the back of his neck. He could faintly hear that all too familiar heart beat as he began to cry even harder while he felt his head being pressed against that broad chest again. No one else could see or hear him, but to Baekhyun, he was right there hugging him tightly and speaking just like he used to.

          "I miss you too Baekhyunnie. Please don't cry though, I'm no longer sick here and I can still watch over you! I'll always be with you so don't be sad.

I love you, Byun Baekhyun..."

Well finished this story! Ugh I cried writing this finally chapter... ㅠㅠ I just find it funny how I wrote a ChanBaek story when I ship XiuHan more than anything xD

The song used for Chanyeol's lyrics was EXO's Promise and p.s., I don't know the boys or anything so all of this is purely fiction!

This was my first ever real Kpop/ EXO story so any comments or feedback would be awesome ^^
