"You were the teacher of Joey's first class. Did he call in sick?" Maria asks

"No, he didn't." Carol Danvers says.

Carol was Joey's favorite teacher, she teached geometry. It wasn't Joey's favorite subject, but Carol Danvers made it a lot better and helped him with his troubles. She was also his mentor for his class, any problems he had he could tell her.

"You were Joey's mentor. Did he tell you anything? Like being followed or threatened." Maria says

"No. Joey told me about his friends and troubles at school." Carol says

"Anything from his home situation?" Steve asks

"No. He loved being at home, with his siblings and parents. He told me he loved to spend time with his family." Carol says

"So he didn't act weird the last couple days?" Maria asks

"No." Carol says

"That would be all. Thank you." Steve says

"You were a friend of Joey, right?" Maria asks

"He is." Steve interrupts, "Joey had some friends over sometimes and he was one of them."

"Okay." Maria says, "So, you're Ned Leeds?"

"Yes." Ned says

"You don't have to be nervous." Maria says

"I'm sorry, I just never talked to the police before, beside mr Rogers at Joey's house." Ned says

"I will ask the questions if that makes you more comfortable." Steve says, Ned nodded and Steve grabbed the list from Maria. "When did you last see Joey?"

"On Saturday, at Liz her party." Ned says

"Who else was there?" Steve asks

"You should ask Liz that, I only sat with some people." Ned says

"What people?" Maria asks

"Umh. Peter, MJ, and Betty." Ned answers

"Where was Joey?" Steve asks

"He was with Kate, Cooper and Harley." Ned says

"Did Joey act weird?" Steve asks

"No. He was his normal self." Ned says

"Did he say anything about being followed?" Steve asks

"No. Nothing." Ned says

"Thank you for answering." Maria says

"When did you last see Joey?" Maria asks

"At the party." Betty Bryant says, "I said goodbye to Kate before I left, that's when I saw him last."

"Did you talk to him sometimes?" Steve asks

"Only for school stuff." Betty says

"Was he acting differently at school or at the party?" Maria asks

"No." Betty says

"I saw Joey last on Saturday like everyone else." MJ says

"What do you mean with "like everyone else."?" Maria asks

"Well Peter asked if Joey could hang out, but Joey said he was having a family day at home." MJ says

"Joey didn't leave the house on Sunday, she's telling the truth." Steve says

"So are you going to ask me if I saw anything weird about him? Because I didn't." MJ says

"Okay." Maria says

"Can I go now?" MJ asks and Maria and Steve nodded. MJ left and Maria turned to Steve.

"Who's next?" Maria asks

"Harley Stark." Steve says

"Why do you want to interrogate everyone?" Maria asks

"Because someone killed my son." Steve says

"Okay. Let's talk to Harley Stark." Maria says

"So that was Harley Stark, then Peter Parker. So now we got Cooper Barton and after that Liz Allan, Brandon Hammer and finally Kate Bishop." Maria says

"Great, almost done." Steve says

Maria opened the door and Cooper walked in, he sat down and looked at the two.

"You were Joey's best friend?" Maria says

"Since birth." Cooper says

"Nothing strange was with him?" Maria asks

"Nope. But he did have some issues with Brandon Hammer." Cooper says

Steve sat up and put his hands on the table. He was surprised to hear this, Joey never mentioned it.

"What do you mean with "issues"?" Steve asks

"Umh, Brandon said that Joey stole his girlfriend. Kate argued with Brandon over this, but he kept blaming Joey for their break." Cooper says

"Did this happen at school?" Maria asks

"Yes." Cooper says

"Why didn't anyone else tell us this?" Steve asks

"They probably thought it was unimportant." Cooper says

"Thank you so much Cooper." Steve says, "Before you go, did Brandon threaten Joey?"

"Not that I know of." Cooper says

"That would be all." Maria says

"You're Liz Allan?" Maria asks

"Yes, I am." Liz says

"Do you have a guest list of your party?" Steve asks

"Yes. I only invited people I wanted and I texted everyone the invite, I can write down all the names." Liz says

"That would be very helpful. Here is a card, call me if you got the list." Maria says and slid a card across the table.

"I will." Liz says

"Did you notice anything weird from Joey at the party?" Steve asks

"No." Liz says, "Can I go now? I have to get to a meeting of the student council."

"Of course." Steve says

"Did you hate Joey Rogers?" Maria asks

"No." Brandon says

"Someone told us you said that Joey stole your girlfriend." Steve says, "Again. Did you hate Joey?"

"Fine. I did. Kate and I were great until they had to do this project together, then they spend more time together and she broke up with me. A week later Joey and Kate started to date." Brandon says

"And that pished you off?" Maria asks

"Yes." Brandon says

"Enough to stab him four times?" Steve asks

"What? No!" Brandon says, "I hated him. But I would never kill."

Then Nick Fury walked inside, with Justin Hammer on his heels.

"What's the meaning of this?" Maria asks

"My son isn't talking without a lawyer present." Justin says

"He isn't under arrest. It's just a standard interrogation." Steve says

"Still." Justin says, "Brandon let's go."

They walked out and the door closed again. Steve sighed and leaned back in his chair.

"Let's talk to Kate Bishop." Steve says after a minute of silence.
