(Y/n)'s POV:

After we got our arses in Beacon, I went to the Ozpin's office to report in for duty. Took a while for the elevator to reach his office. When the door opened, I've met again with my team.

Ozpin: "Ahh Lieutenant. Good to have you here now."

(Y/n): "Ghost reporting for duty sir." I said and saluted.

Soap: "Good. All lads are here now. So, the reason for our presence here is that the Central Intelligence of Remnant reported that there might be an attack here. The attacker? Well, the Shadow Company."

Ozpin: "Shadow Company? But why here?" He asked as he confused.

Roach: "We believe that this will be their first phase on conquering Vale."

(Y/n): "And also their first act on their so called plan to make a better world, The World With No Boundaries."

Ozpin: "I see. So that's why Price sent you here."

Soap: "Yeah... here's the file of the details." He then handed the file to Ozpin.

Ozpin: "Great! I will work on your placement in Beacon Academy. Here is your dorm key and scrolls. As for you, you don't have to go through the initiation. Consider yourself lucky. Welcome to Beacon."

Soap: "Thanks. We will take our leave now." We saluted and walked to the elevator. As we reached the ground floor, we met team RWBY.

Ruby: "Hey guys!" She greeted us.

Soap/Roach/(Y/n): "Hey."

Yang: "So, what's your plan for today?"

Roach: "Well, since we don't have to go through the initiation, we have a lot of times to decorate our room."

Weiss: "Wait, no initiation? Why?" She asked as she raised her left eyebrow.

(Y/n): "Yep! Because we are an elite team. So, based on our experiences from various of missions, we get out free pass."

Yang: "Ooooooookay... How about we go to the town and have some fun?"

Blake: "Seriously? You just meet with them and you invite them for fun?"

Yang: "Hey! This is the time to know each other better."

Blake: "Alright, alright. Can't argue with that..." she said and raised her hands in defeat.

(Y/n): "Well, that's a great idea. So we go out after we have done with our decoration. How's that sound, Soap?"

Soap: "Sounds great. We will meet you after we finish our decoration."

Ruby: "Great! So where is your room?"

Roach: "Umm... honestly, we don't know. Our room number is A04."

Ruby: "Oh oh! That's just next to our room! We'll show you the way!" She exclaimed.

(Y/n): "Alright! Lead the way." I said and we started to walk to our dorm.

Yang's POV:

After they finished unpack their things, we headed to the town to have some fun and know each other better. We went to the funfair and played various of games and also, went to the famous restaurant for dinner. Welp... we spended a lot of times at the funfair and didn't realized that it was night. After leaving the restaurant, (Y/n) and I decided to take a night walk while the rest headed back to their room.

We walked around the park and found a bench. We decided to take a seat for a while to enjoy the beauty of the Shattered Moon. A comfortable silence surrounded us and gentle breeze that makes me a bit shivered. Suddenly, I was suprised by an arm wrapped around my neck.

(Y/n): "I know that you are cold." I just smiled and rested my head on his shoulder and let out a happy sigh. "You know, I kinda miss this one..."

Yang: "I miss it too.... can't help but feel the warmness when we do this.." he let out a chuckle and we went into silence. Took a while before I broke the silence. "(Y/n)..."

(Y/n): "Hmm?"

Yang: "Since when you become a soldier?" I asked.

(Y/n): "Oh.. about 1 and a half years after I went... missing. At the same day, I went to the Mistral to find my cousin, Roach. He helped me to enlist into the Task Force. And I am the youngest one with plenty of experiences from various mission that I've joined."

Yang: "Why did you leave?"

(Y/n): "Excuse me?"

Yang: "Why? Why did you leave on that day? Why didn't you tell me first?" Then, I lifted my head and faced him. "Don't you remember our promise?" I asked as I'm about to shed a tear. He looked down and has a sad expression on his face. "(Y-(Y/n), I'm sorry if I asked too much... I ju-"

(Y/n): "It's okay, Yang...." he let out a heavy sigh. "After I got back from the school..."

(Y/n)'s POV:

-Flashback 3 years ago-

(Y/n): "Mom! Dad! I'm home!" I yelled after I opened the door, but there's no one came out to see me. I was curious about this. Usually, they will greeted me back. So I went upstairs while calling their names.

I reached their room and knocked 3 times. But no answer. I turned the door knob and opened it. What I found was really... this one really makes my heart shattered into million of pieces. I found the bodies of my mom and my dad with a lots of knife cuts and several bullet holes.. I rushed to them and checked for their pulse to see if they still alive but... they didn't make it. I cried loudly while yelling their names. I don't know why my mom and dad were killed. But I found something under my father's leg. I took it and has words on it. 'This is what you get when you fight the Shadow Company.' I remembered about the Shadow Company when my father told a bit about it because it's a top secret intelligence. I clenched my fist and my heart was full with anger and rage.

(Y/n): "Whoever you are, whenever you are, I, (Y/n) (L/n) will avenge my family by killing the leader of the Shadow Company. And no one will stand on my way to hunt you."

I'm eager to hunt and kill the leader so their death was not wasted. I went to the garage and took a shovel to dig the graves for them. And after that, I leave.

-flashback end-

Yang: "W-What?! But I thought that you and your family moved out without noticing us.."

(Y/n): "But no.... I'm sorry that I leave you alone.. I know that it's my mistake for leaving you... But I have no choice. I-I'm not a good friend for you because I break our pro-" as I was about to finish it, she suddenly hugged me.

Yang: "No. You are a good friend to me. I understand that you have no choice." She then started to cry. "I-I'm happy *sniffs* that you are here now.. For all the times, I've been thinking about you and I-I really *sniffs* m-miss you..." I then returned the hug to calm her down.

(Y/n): "I know, Yang... I'm sorry.." she buried her head on my chest and still crying. I took a deep breath and decided to sing our favourite song during our childhood.

"Take me down to the river bend"

"Take me down to the fighting end"

"Wash the poison from off my skin"

"Show me how to be whole again"

As I sang it, she began to calm a bit. I decided to continue.

"Fly me up on the silver wing"

"Past the black where the sirens sing"

"Warm me up in the nova's glow"

"And drop me down to the dream below"

I began to rock her back and forth as I continued to sing the song.

"Cause I'm only a crack in this castle of glass"

"Hardly anything there for you to see"

"For you to see"

I hummed the melody of the song and closed my eyes. And I continued it.

"Bring me home in a blinding dream"

"Through the secrets that I have seen"

"Wash the sorrow from off my skin"

" Show me how to be whole again"

I caress her hair to comfort her more. Lucky that I'm her bestfriend. If not, then I will go home with a lots of broken bones.

"Cause I'm only a crack in this castle of glass"

"Hardly anything left for you to see"

"For you to see"

As I sang it, I heard a low snore.

(Y/n): "Yang?" I called her name but no respond. "How can you fell asleep during this-" then I looked at my watch and it's almost 10:00 p.m. "No wonder why you fell asleep." I smiled and decided to finish the song.

"Cause I'm only a crack in this castle of glass"

"Hardly anything left for you to see"

"For you to see"

Then, I picked her in bridal style. 'God you really had gain more weight than before' i think to myself. I sent her to their room. Luckily, the park was located near the Beacon Academy. As I reached in front of her room, I used my head to knock the door. Have to do it since both of my arms were full.

"Coming" said a muffled voice. The door opened and soon revealling Ruby.

Ruby: "Oh hey, (Y/n)!"

(Y/n): "Hey. Where is Yang's bed? She fell asleep during our walk around the park.."

Ruby: "Oh.. Yang's bed is over there." She said while pointing at a bed under Blake's. Seriously, they build a bunk beds? Looks pretty dangerous tho.. I went to there and gently placed Yang on her bed. I can see her smiling in her sleep.

(Y/n): "By the way, why are you still awake?" I asked Ruby.

Ruby: "Studying!" She exclaimed but in lower tone a bit, not wanted to wake the others.

(Y/n): "I see.. well then, goodluck with your studies. I'm going to my room now. Goodnight and I'll see you again tomorrow." I said as I walked to the exit.

Ruby: "Thanks. And goodnight to you too!"

I closed the door and walked to my team's room. I entered my room and Roach and Soap were still not sleep yet.

(Y/n): "The hell are you doing now?" They jumped and shocked when they suddenly hiding something behind them in rush and turned to face me with a nervous expression.

Roach: "Ummmm... Nothing.."

Soap: "Yeah.. Nothing.." Then, he smiled nervously. But I knew what they were hiding. I facepalmed and shook my head in disbelief.

(Y/n): "Ya still read the Playboy magazine, right?" I asked and they just laughed nervously. "Whatever.. I'm going to sleep now. Night night.

Soap/Roach: "Goodnight!" And with that, I laid on my bed and closed my eyes. As I'm about to drift into sleep, I saw Yang in my vision.

(Y/n)'s thought: "Why I kept thinking about her... I know that she is my bestfriend but.. did I fall in love with her? What's with this feeling?" I kept thinking about it until my mind became tired and drifted into sleep.
