12 - Grocery Shopping
Day - 4
“Jungkook”
Nothing.
“Jungkook.”
No response.
“Jungkoook.” This time Eunji got the courage to poke his arm as she leaned over him, her still wet hair hanging past her shoulders.
Still nothing.
God, this guy slept like a rock in hibernation. And they don’t even hibernate! Which only proved her point.
“Jungkookkkkk” she poked his cheek repeatedly until he finally let out a groan, turning his head to the other side.
Eunji scoffed in annoyance.
So if she was here dying, this guy wouldn’t hear a thing.
That truly made her feel safe.
“Jeon Jungkook!”
The said man jumped in his spot with wide eyes, startled by his wife whose patience had run low.
Seeing that it was only her, and that the house wasn’t burning down, he groaned and shut his eyes.
“What do you want?” he grumbled, his voice an octave lower due to the very recent disturbance of his wonderful sleep.
“You said you would come with me.” Eunji had straightened up now, crossing her arms as she watched him from the bedside.
“Why now?” he mumbled into the pillow and Eunji rolled her eyes.
“Because I still need to clean the house and prepare dinner. They’re coming around five and I want everything ready.”
Another annoyed groan left her husband's lips as he stuffed his face further into the pillow.
Eunji huffed, and turned around to walk back into the bathroom to dry her hair.
“I’m giving you five minutes. If you’re not up by then I’m calling your secretary and telling her you won’t be coming in today.”
Jungkook rolled over onto his back, draping an arm over his eyes with annoyance written all over his face.
No wonder men didn’t live so long. At this rate he would soon be voluntarily digging his own grave too.

“Can you grab the gochujang right there?” Eunji asked over her shoulder while looking through the shelf of noodles to find the type she wanted.
Jungkook, once again disturbed from his spot where he was left hunched over the shopping cart, stood up straight to grab the said product next to him. He placed it into the cart just as Eunji piled in packs of noodles.
“Do we really need that many?”
“Have you seen how much you eat?” she fired back before turning on her heel and continuing down the aisle.
Huffing and going back to hunching over the cart, he pushed it with him to follow his wife.
“Today’s task was actually to go shopping, but since Iseul and Yuna are coming tonight and we have nothing at home, I thought grocery shopping would be better."
Jungkook turned his gaze to the bowls of ramen they passed by, tossing his favourite flavour in.
"I told you to get a new pair of leggings didn't I?"
Eunji came to an immediate stop, Jungkook almost crashing into her with the cart. She whirled around to him, her hands covering her backside.
"You can see through this one too?"
The look on her face was too priceless to not follow along.
Jungkook grinned.
"You're wearing black, right?" He titled his head, watching her look at him in horror as red flushed across her cheeks.
"I told you to get new leggings."
Eunji turned to look at her backside.
"Is it really that obvious?"
Jungkook shrugged, enjoying himself.
"If I can see it from here, everyone else walking by can too."
Her expression just kept getting better. Maybe the grocery trip wasn't a bad idea after all.
"Oh my God, what do I do?" Eunji cupped her red cheeks, her eyes round and frantic.
"Don't worry about it. Everyone's seen it already." Jungkook spoke nonchalantly as he moved the chart around her, spotting his favourite crackers and adding them to the chart, only to have Eunji slide into the space between him and the chart.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"If you stand behind me it won't be noticeable." she muttered and Jungkook rolled his eyes, stepping aside, only to be pulled back, caging her against the cart.
"Don't move." She glared over her shoulder at him and he scoffed.
"I'm not going to stand behind you, Eunji, it makes it look like I'm trying to push my di—"
Eunji cut him off by loudly clearing her throat, an elder lady giving them a dirty look as she walked by.
Jungkook looked up to the ceiling of the grocery store, sighing at the fact that the fun was over and Eunji had once again taken it too far.
He stepped aside again, this time succeeding to escape her grasp.
"I was kidding about your leggings. You can't see through them."
"What?" Eunji blinked in confusion. "But you—"
"I got lucky," he shrugged, reaching for another box of crackers, only to have a pack of noodles aimed right at his head.
"Ow—!" Jungkook glared at his wife while rubbing the side of his head and she glared right back just as strongly.
"You're such an assho—"
"Ahem."
The elder from before cleared her throat while giving them both a dirty look. It took a moment for Eunji to process that she was in front of the products she was trying to get to.
Mumbling an apology and giving a curt bow, Eunji pushed the cart forward, leaving Jungkook to follow her with a sigh.

"Why did you pick up your phone if you were watching porn last night."
Not a single greeting. Not even a "how's your day."
Was everyone around him going crazy?
Jungkook rubbed his temple and sighed.
"I wasn't watching porn."
"So you were having sex and left to pick up your phone?" Namjoon made himself comfortable across from the younger's desk. Flipping over a sheet of paper, Jungkook answered.
"No, I was not having sex."
"Well, the sounds on the phone—"
"Was Eunji watchung Titanic on blast, hyung. You just happened to call at the wrong time. As always."
Namjoon grew defensive.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Nothing."
Nothing. At. All.

"So have you done the deed yet?" Isuel asked, placing a set of plates for the three of them on the dinner table.
Eunji carried over the utensils.
"No."
"Has he tried initiating or—"
"Nope. Being married to him is like an annoying rock that does nothing but work and make fun of you."
"Welcome to my life." Yuna chimed in, munching on a piece of bread she had sliced earlier.
"Has the challenge been working at all?" Iseul asked curiously and Eunji shook her head.
"Either we sit in complete silence or annoy each other. Nothing has changed so far."
"That's okay," Iseul spoke, placing a hand on her friends shoulder, "give it some time, I'm sure it'll work out."
Eunji sighed, fiddling with one of the napkins next to a plate.
"I hope so."
"Speaking of the devil." Yuna spoke up, referring to her older brother that had just got back from work, appearing in the space that led to the kitchen and living room.
"Hello baby sis." Jungkook spoke, not bothering to give them a glance as he set his suitcase down on the coffee table by the couch.
"Hello ugly bro."
"I see you haven't changed."
"Neither have you."
"Touché"
Eunji interrupted the two siblings.
"Jungkook, are you eating with us?"
He shook his head, draping his suit jacket over his arm.
"I'll grab myself a plate. Enjoy yourselves."
Without another word, the three watched him walk up the stairs in silence before listening to the distant shut of the bedroom door.
Yuna turned her gaze to her sister-in-law.
"You have a lot of work to do."
Eunji sighed.
"I know."
