Taehyung woke to the scent of rain clinging heavily under his nostrils. His wolf purred in contentment. He stretched his limbs, feeling content after a good night's sleep. It had been a while since he slept so well. Last night, he slept exceptionally well.

A deep breath filled his nostrils with a combined scent of rain, roses, and sandalwood that was mixed with his peppermint.

Wow.

It was pure heaven. He blinked his eyes open, rubbing the sleep of his eyes. Clutched in his left hand was a black shirt that smelled so heavily of an alpha he was so familiar with.

How did this come here?

A frown tugged at his lips and the next thing he noticed was the chocolate box.

Oh.

Maybe the alpha left it here for him. An involuntary smile replaced his frown as he grabbed the chocolate delicacy, not wasting another second before unwrapping one and popping it into his mouth. As the chocolate melted, the other two prominent scents combined with a loud purr demanded his attention.

Taehyung paused, ears straining as he glanced around. His nest smelled heavily of the omega. He was sure he freshly made his nest last night and it smelled only of him. Perhaps Jimin came in later.

Where is this sound coming from?

He crawled to the foot of his bed and his breath caught in his throat at the sight. A loud coo almost left his mouth as he quickly scrambled off in search of his phone. He dropped the chocolates on the bed and clicked as many pictures as possible.

Jungkook was in his wolf form. It had been years since he saw his wolf. And he could tell he'd grown bigger and he was more muscular than he remembered. Sleeping on top of him, wrapped in a blanket like a burrito was the omega. Jimin was so small compared to the wolf that seemed to drown him.

The omega held his fur in his little fists, little puffs of breath fanning the wolf's neck as a purr vibrated off his chest. It was the cutest thing he had ever seen and he didn't think twice before dropping the photos in their family group.

His phone vibrated with several texts as they cooed. His mother broke into tears, sending a voice message over how adorable they looked.

They looked adorable indeed. Yoongi's shirt lay on his lap, a secret smile tugged at his lips. He could tell Jimin must have snuck it into his nest while he slept.

They have really come a long way. The first time he felt the urge to build his nest was during his rut—the first one he spent in a facility instead of home because this time they were able to afford one.

It was the time before he became famous. Only Jimin had constant work and he had been working non-stop. He had a busy schedule that didn't allow him to take a break. The shoot was planned in another city combined with a small-scale fashion show where Jimin would have to travel and stay away for a week.

Taehyung would have stayed home, but Jimin insisted he would be able to rest easy only if he knew there was someone to take care of him in a timely manner. Because the alpha didn't eat unless someone forced him to do it.

So Taehyung went, packing everything he could think of. However, the facility was too clean and void of anything that was remotely even close to home. It was then he felt the urge to build a nest, seeking the safety and comfort only home could offer.

He had made use of the little things that were available to him, burrowing under the sheets and pretending he was with Jimin. It became a habit.

Ruts and heats were a vulnerable time for the werewolves. With their constant state of arousal and the need to mate, they were emotionally and physically weak. It was important they spend it where they felt safer. Jimin or Taehyung didn't have that safety until a few years ago. Come to think of it, they were each other's safe place.

He munched on the chocolates, wondering what the alpha would do next when the wolf stirred. Taehyung's lips stretched as he waited for Jungkook to wake up.

"Good morning, sleepyhead," he greeted with a grin.

The black wolf blinked, yawning and stretching its limbs. It lifted its head, eyeing him and sniffing on top of the omega's head before licking his cheeks gently.

"Whipped," he mumbled as the wolf went back to lie down in the same position. It huffed, ears twitching but didn't react otherwise.

Jimin didn't stir, the purr emanating from his chest was the only noise inside the room.

"Next time you sneak into my room, you can climb in my nest and lay with me," he said. "Sleeping on the floor must have been uncomfortable."

The wolf lifted its head again, ears pulling back and lips peeling back in what looked like a proper wolfish grin. Taehyung mirrored its action.

"Want me to take him? He won't wake up for another three hours. Jiminie likes to sleep in after his performances unless there's a schedule that demands him to be up."

The wolf just huffed in answer, lying down in the same position.

Taehyung shrugged and hopped off the bed. "Don't steal my chocolates," he warned as he headed to the bathroom.

Ten minutes later when he came back, there were several texts and a few calls from his brother.

From Namjoon hyung:

Taehyungie, is Jimin with you?

I went to his room looking for Jungkook, but he isn't there.

I can't find him in his room either.

Oh, don't bother, the security said he went to ur room.

Is he asleep?

Can u wake him up?

It's urgent!

To Namjoon hyung:

I don't think it's possible.

He doesn't wanna disturb his precious omega.

Didn't u see that pic I sent in the group chat?

What's the issue though?

From Namjoon hyung:

Oh, wait!

Oh

U know I don't check the texts in the group often

He's really in his wolf form?

To Namjoon hyung:

She's fucking demanding to see JK and is saying that she's here to stay

She's claiming that they are courting and it's in her rights to visit her alpha

First of all, I'm not the pack alpha.

She also has two of the council members with her.

She is saying that JK promised to mate with her and was dating her in secret.

That now he's cheating on her with the model.

Taehyung scoffed and jumped out of the bed. It wasn't JK they needed. He kicked Jimin's bum, the omega shot up with wide eyes, and a growl lodged in his throat. He looked around frantically, letting out a growl when Taehyung kicked him again. The alpha who didn't like this growled even louder.

"There's a bitch trying to steal your mate from you and you're here sleeping your ass off," he snapped. "Isabella is here. Get up and deal with her."

Jimin blinked innocently but his expression darkened at the mention of her name.

To Namjoon hyung:

Just hold them there.

Jimin slid off the wolf, sitting cross-legged as he slowly seemed to process the information. The wolf stood up, shaking its body as it growled. Jimin put a hand on its head, scratching behind its ears.

"Repeat that again," Jimin's voice was hoarse with sleep, but the fire burning in his gaze and the way his scent of roses burned with a spicy undertone said everything Taehyung wanted to know.

"The omega who sent a courting gift to your alpha is here with the council members," he elaborated. "Your earlier message wasn't enough."

Jimin growled, clenching his jaw. "I need to freshen up."

The wolf, however, sat with its tail thumping on the floor, head tilted to the side. "Why aren't you shifting?" Taehyung asked.

The wolf blinked with another huff but made no move to shift.

Jimin frowned beside him. "You can shift now," he said. "I'm sorry I should have invited you into my nest sooner. You didn't have to sleep on the floor."

The wolf didn't make any attempt to shift, instead, it lay down on his feet, head propped on its front paws.

"Why isn't he shifting? Is he trying to tell me something?" Jimin's frown deepened.

Taehyung eyed the wolf thoughtfully for a long moment. Namjoon had said it had been long since Jungkook shifted. A snort escaped him. "I think he's stuck."

"What?" Jimin looked even more confused.

"Yah, Jungkook-ah, last night, did you shift voluntarily?" he asked. The wolf lifted its head but looked away. "So your wolf took control."

The wolf lay down again.

"Perfect." Taehyung chuckled. Just what they wanted right now.

"What?" Jimin asked again. "I don't understand."

"It means, your mate's wolf took control last night for some reason and is refusing to let his human side take it back. Your alpha is stuck in this form until the wolf relents," Taehyung explained.

"Oh, shoot." Jimin glanced at him. "There's nothing we can do?"

"Not for now." Taehyung shook his head. "He might wanna spend more time with you. Can you blame him? Jungkook must have been suppressing the guy for too long."

Jimin sighed. "We can't keep Isabella waiting though. I'll go see what the fuck she didn't get from my message. Maybe I should pee on her this time." He stomped to the bathroom while the wolf obediently followed, stopping outside the door and waiting patiently.

"Whipped," Taehyung murmured as he typed away another text to Namjoon.

To Namjoon hyung:

I got news

JK's wolf is the one in control

I don't think our pack alpha is in a position to handle the situation

From Namjoon hyung:

Oh, fuck!

What are we supposed to do now?

To Namjoon hyung:

The usual

I'm sending the pack omega down

Sorry for the super short chapter. The ones who are following me on Twitter might have known this already. I was away because my mom isn't feeling well. We have decided to go through a minor surgery in the coming weeks. It's isn't something big, but the process itself is kinda stressful with travel, hospital visits and such. So it's kinda stressful for me at the moment. So there might be unexpected delays in updates. Thanks in advance guys.
