Chapter 21
Thanks for all the love guys. Your comments are fun to read and heartwarming most of the times. I'm sorry I get over 1k notifications (Wattpad & AO3) and I'm unable to catch up with all due to my hectic work schedule. I promise, I read every word you sent me and appreciate it. I'm so grateful for your words.
Some of you leave me nice emojis, that's so sweet. I understand, english isn't the mother tongue for many. It's not my mother tongue either. So, please, don't worry about mistakes while posting comments. I think language is just there so we can communicate. Knowing that you enjoy my writing is all that matters to me. If it makes you smile, takes your mind off your daily life stress, that satisfies me.
Anyways, that being said, I don't know if I tagged slow burn. I ran out of space while tagging and it won't allow me to add more. As you already know, Jimin is a sexual assault survivor. It would take some time for him to ease into this relationship. So please be understanding and be patient. They're both whipped for each other. That should go without saying. He he enjoy reading!

Jimin wanted nothing more than to stay by Jungkook's side that night. His wolf was pliant, resting in the corner of his mind with a dopey look. However, a part of him was analyzing everything he just did with his alpha.
They had come home together after showering at the hotel and changing into fresh pair of clothes. They didn't talk much during the entire ride. Jungkook had held his hands, his thumb running smooth circles in the back of his palm. Then Jimin retired to his room with a soft good night and a kiss pressed to the alpha's cheek.
Jungkook was as understanding as ever when he said he wanted to sleep in his room. Sleep, however, was the last thing in Jimin's mind. His heart was racing and even his nest didn't look appealing as he hurried to Taehyung's room which was just around the corner.
Jimin came to a halt when he spotted one grumpy alpha, trying to sneak into Taehyung's room. He was poking his head inside the room and Jimin's anger flared.
"Hey!"
The alpha jumped back—startled with his sudden presence—his head momentarily caught between the door frame and the door where he tried to close it suddenly. With a hiss, he stumbled back, rubbing his neck furiously. The scent of rain wrapped around him, but it was tinged with something akin to embarrassment.
Jimin watched as red coated the alpha's soft features. He folded his hands across his chest as he leaned on the wall. "What were you doing here?" His voice came out harsher than he expected.
The alpha in front of him flinched. Sweat coated his forehead. "I-It's not what you think."
"What did I think?" Jimin cocked a brow.
The alpha, Yoongi, took a deep breath, pushing his hands into his pockets. "I heard he was involved in a fight with the intruders tonight along with Jungkook. He left the venue before I could check on him."
"So you're worried now," he stated, expression unwavering.
The alpha frowned. "Listen, I know I was an asshole before. I even apologized to him for that." He averted his gaze. "I just...I-Is he alright?" Worry etched his features. "He isn't hurt, is he?"
Jimin's features softened. Even though he wanted to pretend a bit more, he couldn't keep up. His anger had drained the moment he noticed the worry in the alpha's gaze. Now that the scent blockers had worn off, his scent sweetened, revealing how it pleased his omega to know that this alpha cared for his soulmate.
"I knocked at the door, but he didn't answer," the grumpy alpha continued, unaware of Jimin's reaction to his concern. "I was worried."
Jimin strode to the door and opened it, gently poking his head inside. His features softened further, and his nurturing instincts kicked with full force when he noticed Taehyung had made himself a nest. He was snuggled deep under the covers with only the mop of his dark hair visible. It brought back memories.
Alphas making nests were unheard of. However, Taehyung often slept in Jimin's nest. When he was alone, he had unconsciously begun to seek that comfort and built one on his own. It was something only Jimin knew of. Did Yoongi see his nest?
"Stay here." He slipped inside the room and strode to the bed.
A soft smile stretched his lips and the wolf scratched in his chest to comfort his soulmate. He sighed, carding his fingers through Taehyung's hair. A sudden thought crossed his mind.
He went out of the room, where the alpha was waiting patiently. "He's fine," he announced. "Sleeping like a baby."
The alpha nodded. Relief visibly washed over his frame. Jimin realized how similar they both were. The alpha was the same height as him and had a smaller build compared to the other alphas in general. If it wasn't for his scent or the intimidating presence, it was hard to tell him apart from an omega.
Again, anyone who was a fool to stereotype Yoongi as week was in for a surprise. He had no doubt they would be signing their death warrants inadvertently.
That man was a skillful fighter and a sharp shooter. Jimin had recently been to one of their shooting practice. Yoongi had effortlessly scored the highest point, even beating Jungkook, Namjoon and Hoseok who weren't too behind. He had also seen him spar with Namjoon and sometimes Seokjin.
"Thank you." He bowed. "I appreciate it." He looked like he wanted to say more, hands fidgeting with the lapels of his jacket but he dropped his hands to the side and cleared his throat. "I-I'll take my leave then."
"Wait." Jimin stopped him, gaze carefully raking over his frame. "Give me your jacket or shirt."
The alpha halted, eyes widening briefly before the red on his cheeks deepened. "Oh...um...sure." He shrugged off his jacket, and tested it with a frown. "Ah...it's not soft," he murmured before dropping it on the floor and proceeded to remove his shirt, sniffing at it and feeling it with his fingers before nodding his approval. "This should do it."
The omega watched him with an amused expression as the alpha talked to himself.
"Here." The alpha handed him the shirt and Jimin kept his gaze trained on his face. "I would have brought something soft and nice if I had known earlier. Not sure how good this is for his nest," he mumbled.
Jimin's eyes widened. "You saw his nest?!"
Yoongi put both hands in the air in a surrendering motion. "It wasn't intentional. He was always nesting in the hospital room. I don't know if he ever realized that," he rushed to explain. "I even ordered additional pillows and blankets for him while he was there."
Hospital room?
Oh.
Jimin then remembered Yoongi was watching Taehyung overnight when he was hospitalized recently.
"Okay," he replied. So the alpha knew. However, there was no judgment in his gaze, just concern. "What did you want to give him earlier?"
"Huh?" The alpha blinked. "N-Nothing."
"I saw you fidgeting with your jacket and heard something when you dropped it on the floor. Give it to me. I'll put it on his table."
The alpha flushed but nodded immediately and grabbed his jacket from the floor, fishing out a box of chocolates.
Taehyung's favorites.
The omega's scent sweetened even more.
"I just...this is for him."
Jimin took it from his hands with a smile. "He'd appreciate this even if he pretends otherwise. I'll be sure to let him know that his alpha bought him a comforting gift." Yoongi sputtered, choking on his saliva while Jimin's grin broadened. "Stay here."
He went back inside to put the chocolate box on the table where Taehyung could see it the first thing in the morning. Then he put the alpha's shirt closer to Taehyung's nose. The alpha's nostrils flared and involuntarily leaned to the shirt, nuzzling his face into it.
Jimin smiled as he carefully placed it beside his head and went to grab one of Taehyung's used sweatshirts. The grumpy alpha was worried and he knew that though the alpha refused to admit it, he also needed comfort.
Yoongi was in the same position where he left him earlier, jacket clutched in hand and expression unsure. "Here," he said, handing him the sweatshirt.
The alpha's jaw went slack for a moment. He all but snatched the used shirt, bringing it to his nose and taking a deep breath. A growl rumbled out of his chest as he rubbed his face into it. He had never seen the stone-faced alpha expressing something so raw before. He thought it was only reserved for Taehyung.
Jimin chuckled with a shake of his head. "Good night, Mr. Grumpy." He slipped back inside the room without another word and padded toward Taehyung.
His restless wolf settled in his chest as soon as he slid beside Taehyung, wrapping a hand around his middle and burying his face between his shoulder blades. Their combined scents together with the security blanket of rain felt like home. The alpha stirred but settled comfortably in his embrace as he drifted off to sleep.
***
Jungkook couldn't sleep. The alpha knew why he was feeling this way. His mind kept replaying their actions of intimacy earlier.
Did he do something wrong? He didn't hurt the omega, did he? Jimin would have surely said something, wouldn't he? The omega didn't hint at any discomfort and he was careful, wasn't he?
He worried his lips as he tossed in his bed. His wolf longed to have the omega beside him and in his arms. He wanted to bury his nose into his scent gland, drown in the garden of roses.
The alpha though understood his need for space couldn't help but feel dejected as he caressed the empty space beside him. As minutes ticked away, the nagging in his chest only continued to grow. He threw the covers off him and climbed out of the bed, clad only in his black shorts.
The urge to see his mate was growing stronger and he knew he wouldn't rest until then. Just a glance at his beautiful face was all he needed. Yeah, that would be enough. Without thinking twice, he made his way to Jimin's bedroom.
There were no guards in the corridors at this time of the night, but he knew the night shift security team was watching his every move through the cameras. He didn't mind. It wasn't like they hadn't seen him shirtless before. Since when has this ever been a problem?
He didn't like that Jimin's room was too far from his own. What was he even thinking while assigning them rooms? He just wanted them to be comfortable and close to Kim's den. The alpha didn't think about the situation it would put him in. Now he cursed his brain for not thinking clearly. Well, in his defense, he didn't know he would fall deeply and hopelessly.
Jungkook didn't have much hope in the relationship earlier even when Taehyung proposed something. He never thought it was possible for someone like him. But with time, he felt himself drawn closer and closer to the omega. Before he knew what was even happening he was spiraling into the web of feelings. It was great that his feelings were reciprocated.
He eyed the silver bracelet in his hand with a smile and held it close to his chest as he approached the omega's room. Should he knock? He bit his lip. What if he was already asleep? No, that would wake him. Just a sneak.
Yeah.
He twisted the door knob, finding it open. With a soft exhale, he slipped inside and closed the door behind him. His nostrils flared, relief flooding him when the soft scent of roses wrapped around him. But it didn't last. The scent was faint. Jimin was here not too long ago but he wasn't in his nest.
Jungkook frowned, his heart suddenly racing. Where did he go? His ears strained, listening to any sound. The bathroom lights were off and he could tell he wasn't there either.
He exited the room, his frown deepening.
Oh.
He hurried to Taehyung's room, which was just around the corner. The lingering scent of roses and rain told him Jimin and Yoongi were here recently. He tried to open the door and sighed when it opened. He poked his head inside, ready to greet Taehyung but was met with a sight that almost had him melt on the spot.
After a short debate, he stepped inside the room, closing the door behind him. Nestled between the mountain of blankets and pillows were Jimin and Taehyung, snuggled into each other and deep asleep. They didn't even stir when he stopped at the foot of their bed.
The soft glow of bedside light illuminated their features, making them look so soft and vulnerable.
Taehyung had a beautiful nest. Wow. He didn't know he built a nest. Then it shouldn't be a surprise. Those two had lived alone for so long with no one else to depend on. Pain squeezed his chest. He should have been there sooner.
The wolf clawed in his chest, begging him to let it out. It was a primal instinct to protect and offer comfort to the two most important people in his life. Jungkook protested weakly against his wolf that refused to budge. He should leave. He came here to just glance at them once. However, his feet refused to move and he felt rooted to the spot.
The wolf continued to push forward and with a sigh, Jungkook gave the reins to his wolf. Perhaps, it was because he hadn't shifted in so long. Or it could be just his wolf's need to ensure his mate and best friend were safe.
His shorts ripped as he shifted to his wolf form, standing tall at the foot of their bed. He sniffed at the air, muffling the whine that built in his throat. His tail swished behind him. His instincts pushed him to scent everything in the vicinity but he knew he shouldn't.
He eyed the nest longingly. Such a beautiful nest. He could only imagine how it would feel to be inside one. As a child, Jungkook didn't remember being inside one. There was a time when Taehyung's mom took him to her nest when he was sick, but that was a vague memory in his head.
The wolf circled the bed, fighting the urge to whine and rub the body at the side of their bed. When he finally sat at the foot of their bed, tail thumping on the floor helplessly, head hanging low between his shoulders, he didn't know what to do.
The wolf wanted nothing more than to join them in bed. He didn't want to leave and he didn't have either of their permission to enter their nests. With a sigh, he lay down, resting his head on his front paws.
Maybe he will just stay here for a few more minutes and then he will leave. Yeah.
Just a few minutes longer.

Jimin didn't know what woke him from his deep slumber. He stirred in the bed, burrowing under the covers, relishing the warmth and comfort. It didn't take for the discomfort to make its presence known and he scowled.
Ugh!
Why does he have to pee in the ungodly hours of the morning?!
He could tell it was too early. Taehyung was still asleep and hadn't moved an inch from where he was hugging Yoongi's shirt to his chest. He hummed as he sniffed the air. Roses, peppermint, rain, and sandalwood. What a wonderful combination.
He dragged himself out of the bed, eyes half-closed as he used the bathroom. When he exited and reached a hand to switch off the lights, he spotted something black at the foot of the bed and almost jumped out of his skin.
A soft yelp left his lips as he clutched his chest. He had to blink several times to clear his vision.
Is that—
"Jungkook?"
Jimin slapped a hand over his mouth. He had never met Jungkook's wolf before but the deep sandalwood scent that filled the room unmistakably belonged to his mate. When did he come here? He glanced at the clock. It was around three a.m.
Oh.
He padded softly to the sleeping wolf, his features softening. The wolf was so beautiful like Taehyung said. It was pure black and bigger than his wolf. He proudly stared at the strong muscles and broad paws that could pin him down easily.
He shuffled on his feet. How long was he here? He knelt beside the wolf that hadn't even stirred. Why was he sleeping on the floor? Jimin frowned only to remember he never invited the alpha into his nest before.
Warmth rushed to his chest. He must have felt so alone. He carded his fingers through the thick coat of fur that was slightly rough under his palm. The alpha stirred, stretching out his limbs and head to lie on his side, still asleep. His chest rose and fell steadily under his palm. Jimin smiled involuntarily.
He sat on the floor, watching the mesmerizing alpha. Their wolves would certainly complement each other so well. Maybe they could go on a run together. He would love that.
Sleep was tugging at him again, weeks of rehearsal drained him of energy and his body begged to rest. But he didn't want to return to the bed and leave Jungkook alone on the floor. He pulled two blankets from the nest and put one on the floor before wrapping the other around him. Then he snuggled to the wolf's side.
He felt giddy as he leaned to rest his head on the wolf's side just over its beating heart that thumped under his ears. The sandalwood scent was even rich and the fur tickled his nose. So good. The omega purred in content.
He wanted more. The next thing he knew, he was climbing over the wolf, lowering himself on top of him and burying his nose into its neck. The wolf woke up, lifting its head but the omega continued to purr, rubbing his face all over its fur.
The wolf whined softly and bared its neck, laying stock still as the omega continued to scent him to his heart's content. When he fell asleep a few minutes later, it was with Jungkook's fur clutched tight in his fists and knees bracketing his heavy body in a possessive gesture.
Everytime I write something, I feel I can't do a better job than this one, I can't create something mindblowing as this one...but years down the lane, I realized one work shouldn't be compared with the other. You just gotta enjoy what you write and treat them differently.
Each fic is special in its own way. The way the idea originated or the circumstances that led me to write it. The way I can think back and laugh at some memories of how it came into existence, or the way I can remember crying my heart out while writing.
To me, whatever I write, holds a special place in my heart. I just can't choose and say this is better than this. I just hope I do justice with whatever trope or plot line I pick and make it enjoyable, make the readers feel what I felt when I was writing it.
So thank you all from the bottom of my heart for appreciating my works whether it's small or big 💜
