It's been two summers since the incident with Daniel, thank god he got arrested after that.                               
I was walking along the street with Mackenzie and David and sadly the summer was almost over so we were hanging out before I had to leave.

"I'm so glad we have the new foster parents now, the kids really like them and they're really nice," Mackenzie mentions with a smile.

"Isn't this the third time you have gotten new foster parents? When do you think you guys are going to finally get adopted?" David asks.

"I don't know and I don't care as long as i'm with the kids," Mackenzie replies.

"Well i'm glad you guys are happy," I add.

We then head to the forest as Mackenzie guides us through it.

"How the hell do you know you're way through the forest so well?" David asks.

"Because of Paige, she use to always bring me hear," Mackenzie says.

"That sounds fun," I say.

"It was," she replies.

We walk along the dirt path and I feel the breeze blow through my hair and hear the leaves and twigs under our feet before we come to a stop.                                                              We finally arrive at the pond and we sit down as we watch the fish swim through the water, it was beautiful like a dance, we then proceed to talk and joke with each other.                                    

Mackenzie then gets a text as her phone buzzes.

"Guys!" she yells in joy.

"What is it?" I ask.

"I just got a text from the guy at the adoption agency and he says he found a family who want to adopt," she beams her voice filled with joy and happiness.

"That's amazing," David says.

Mackenzie then hops up and spins around in circles out of joy and me and David sit there watching her dance around happily.

Yet I had no clue what was to come the next summer

It was the next summer and I am on my way to meet up with Mackenzie and David.                                       
I get there and am meet by David which was surprising because he never comes to get me from the station.

"Yo whats up dude?" I ask walking towards him.

"Something's wrong with Mackenzie, she won't leave her house and answer my texts or calls," he replies worried.

I then run with him to drop my stuff off at my grandparents and we had straight to Mackenzie's house.                                                                                                             We get there and her foster parents answer the door.

"Is Mackenzie home?" I ask worried.

"Yes, you can try talking to her but she hasten left her room all week," her foster mom replies.

We then walk in and head straight to Mackenzie's room, David then knocks on the door.

"Mackenzie? Can we talk?" he asks.

"Go away David," she orders.

"Pleas Mackenzie," I beg.

We get no response but within 10 seconds she swings her door open and hugs me as she cries.

"They took the kids, those damn bastards took my siblings!" she cries sobbing.

"What do you mean?" I ask.  

"The family that wanted to adopt only wanted the three younger ones and they took the kids against their will even though they didn't want to go," she says still crying on my shoulder.

I comfort Mackenzie as she cries into my shoulder and I hug her trying to calm her down.

"Tekla,  have you seen Mackenzie at all today?" David asks walking up to me as I sit on my porch.

"No why? Is everything okay?" I ask.

"I don't know, her foster parents said she just disappeared, and the scary part is that i'm worried she went off on her own," he replies.

"What's wrong with her going off on her own?" I ask.

"Did you not her about the serial killer in the news? He escaped from prison a few towns over?" he says.

"I didn't, I hope she’s okay, we should go to the forest to look and see if she’s just hiding there," I say hoping that she just went to are hang out.

"We have been looking for hours, where could she be?" David asks.

"I'm not sure but we have to keep looking, what if we go and check out her room and see if she left something that could tell us where she is?” I suggest.

"That's a good idea," David agrees.

We then head to Mackenzie's house and are let in by her foster mother, we then head to her room and look around.

"Tekla, look at this," David says showing me what I suppose it Mackenzie's journal.

I read it and see that it has something like a note leading to a letter or something like that.  

"What does this mean?" David asks.

"This means we have to find that letter," I say.

We then head out following the instructions in her journal, we end up at the forest, we follow the map of it and find something that looks like a meeting place although it looks really old.

"I've been here," David mentions.

"Really? When?" I ask.

"When me and Mackenzie were younger she brought me here, this is where her and Paige use to hang out," he replies.

"Okay," I say.

I then see a envelope placed on the ground and pick it up and read it.

'Dear Tekla and David, and my lovely siblings.

I am sorry i'm such a failure, i'm sorry I couldn't help the kids and stay with them, I've realized I have failed, I have no place hear anymore without the kids and I am leaving ... as long as they are happy and safe I have done my job... I am truly sorry but don't be sad over me, I have no place hear now and I am sorry.

And I know this may seem selfish of me but i’m in too much pain and can not go on anymore.

My siblings, I love all three of you with all of my heart and I want you to know this, I am so sorry I am leaving you but please be happy live long fulfilling lives.

David, you are like a older brother or dad to me and I love you like family, you have been there for me through the hard times and the good, thank you and please keep an eye on the siblings, and be happy even though I am leaving.

Tekla, oh Tekla I am so sorry, I care about you so much and am sorry I can not live on any longer, please know I am so grateful for having you in my life and know that I care so deeply about you and am so so so sorry i’m leaving, but please be happy. I love you.

So I hope you all live amazing lives without me, thank you.
