William
Dear Will,
The job's done.
You're welcome.
Alex.
I frowned. Wait what? That's it? No long explanations? No sarcasm? No smiley faces? I furrowed my brows as I stared at the short... Really short letter. Had I said something wrong? Everyday, I saw Alex down the hall at her locker, either exchanging books or a few laughs with her friends but for a couple of days, I saw no sign of her. The let... Note still didn't make any sense!
'Hey dude, why the frown man?" I was snapped out of my thoughts by my best friend's voice. I straightened my face and shook my head.
"It's nothing," I mumbled. He looked unconvinced.
"Really? I beg to differ because you've been this way since Susan's become distant from you," I looked up at his reply. Was that really the reason? To be very honest, I had forgotten all about Susan since I got my... Accidental introduction to Alex.
And yes, in case you're wondering, Susan did start becoming distant to me over the past few days. When she got the Prom invite, she didn't give the expected reaction... Or the reaction Alex said she would give.
Alex... I unconsciously looked down the hall to where her locker was in hope I MIGHT, even the slightest, get a hint of the girl who had failed to leave my thoughts since her last note to me. Then... It hit me. What if placing the letter and rose in Alex's locker was as bad a mistake as I had thought?
