I've been wandering around for three days now. I didn't know where I am. The last thing I remember was that I and FATE were having a conversation with the agents and then...

Nothing...

This place is really scary. It looks like a forest. No, it looks more like a jungle. I've been following this boardwalk for ages now but it's not taking me anywhere. Every time I try going in one direction it just takes me back to my starting point. I've started talking to myself. Am I getting crazy?

"Hey, there stranger."

"JESUS!!!", I jumped scared. Some random guy just popped up from nowhere.

"Why are you so scared? What is there something behind me?", the guy said while looking behind.

"Who are you?", I said. I couldn't sound more scared. Who was this guy and how did he get in here. I've been trying to figure this place out for days and things are just getting more confusing.

"Oh sorry. I forgot to introduce myself. I am brandfire. Err...  I mean I am FireBrand. ", the guy introduced himself.

And then it hit me. This guy is a member of Collective and one that opposes the Administrator himself. Just like FATE.

"What are you doing out here alone, boy. This is no place for Hide and Seek games. Where is FATE?", Firebrand said.

"I don't know how I got in here or where FATE is. Please, you have to help me.", I said. I know its not a good idea to ask help from a demon but what options do I have now.

"Well I do have other things to do now but I guess I can help you just a little. Follow me.", Firebrand said and started walking. 

"So, I don't think you have stumbled across some strange place around here, right?", Firebrand asked me.

"Well to tell you the truth, this whole place is strange. Could you be more specific?", I said.

"I thought FATE told you where to go and where to not go.", Firebrand said while taking out a phone out of his pocket, "Yup, he has told you where to not go. Although he could a better job and not to hide a vital location right in front of your chapters.".

"What do you mean? Did FATE hide something in the chapters of my book?", I said but I didn't get any response.

We walked for a bit more until we arrived at some sort of tower. He started climbing and I followed. When we arrived at the top I couldn't believe my eyes. Standing there was no other than FATE.

"Oh, FATE, when did you, arrived here.", Firebrand said in a surprised manner.

"Egli, we need to go.", FATE said like he was in a hurry.

"What's the problem FATE?", I said. FATE was acting strangely worried.

"Why leaving in such a hurry. Let's have a little chat.", Firebrand said in a calm manner. He looked at me and then looked back at FATE. "Oh, I see. He doesn't know yet. That's why you are getting so frustrated."

"He doesn't need to know that.", FATE said.

"I don't need to know what.", I said.

"Oh, Egli. I need you to sit down. This story might be a bit shocky to hear. You stay there FATE. Don't say anything.", Firebrand said while FATE tried to say something.

"What is it?", I said.

"Be quiet and I will tell you. So our story begins with a boy who wanted to know too much. But because he wanted to know too much he got caught in a middle of something far beyond his imagination. He stumbled upon a monster. But instead of being afraid this boy was amazed by the monster. Instead of running this boy accepted the monster as a part of his own self. The boy became something different. He liked it. He wanted to test his new self. So he went on a killing spree. Because why not. He could do whatever he wanted."

"Where are you getting at?", I interrupted him. FATE didn't utter a single word.

"Now you don't have to be impatient. So where was I? Oh yeah. So now this guy that became something different was enjoying torturing other souls. Until one day he stumbled across the wrong guy and in the end, they both met their doom. The boy perished from the existence but this other guy became something new. Something that the boy couldn't imagine being. He became an unbound member. He became FATE. But this is not the story of FATE. This is the story of the boy. Your story Egli.", Firebrand finished.

"No, no. You are lying. This is not the truth. FATE this is no the truth right?", I said. I was beginning to tear up.

"I'm sorry Egli. But this is the truth. You asked me once that what happened to you. The truth is that in the future I will kill you. That's why I am here. To change it. I want to change the future. This is my goal.", FATE said.

"No, I don't believe you. You are lying. You are a liar. "

  "Well, I guess its time for me to go. My job here is done.", Firebrand said and walked away.  

"No, you stay here and tell me the whole story. I know you are lying."

Firebrand didn't say anything and proceeded to walk down the stairs.

"You won't go.", I said and started chasing him. 

"Egli wait.", FATE yelled.

I didn't hear him. I don't want to hear him. Everyone is a liar. I need to run. I'm going to run. They lied to me. I'm not a proxy. I'm me. I'm not a monster like they are.
