A few of my tears fall off my cheeks and onto Blossom's chest. My chest rises and falls with heaves as incredible anger swirls in my chest. My eyes begin to glow bright red and I float up off the ground, slowly turning towards Mojo. My body glows red as I ball my fists and feel my powers enhance. The glowing fades away and I flew my arm out, turning sharply to Mojo.
"You killed her!" I say harshly. Mojo's green eyes widen in fear and he scrambles onto his feet. "You...killed her!"
"I did it for you, my son!" Mojo pleads, backing away. I float down into the ground and take a step forward. Where my foot had been the wet grass was being burnt with bright fire. Mojo gulps and backs up more.
"Someone told me that, once," I say, continuing to walk towards Mojo. The Monkey hits his throne and falls down onto his butt. "I didn't believe them then either."
I close my fists and fire points out of them into a sword. I throw my hand forward and jab it at Mojo.
Mojo clamps his eyes shut, waiting for the pain. When nothing happens he peeks them open and looks at me. I breath heavily and hold the fire dagger right before his chest, singing his fur.
"I'm not you," I say in barely a whisper. Mojo sports a weak smile and I narrow my eyes at him. "But I'm not myself anymore." I bring the dagger into his skin and start cutting up his chest. He screams and withers in pain but the earth around him comes up and holds him still. I pull away and the fire evaporates. I smile down at my work. Mojo would never forget what he'd done. Not that he was labeled "King".
"Brick!" Bubbles calls out. I turn away from the monkey, my mind returning to the present. Blossom. I run over to Bubbles who is kneeling down next to Blossom. Tears trek down her face as Buttercup places a pale hand to comfort her on her shoulder. Next to her, Butch has his hand wrapped around her waist so she won't fall over. I turn to look at Butch and he frowns sadly at me.
"Guys!" a voice shouts. We all turn and see Boomer running across the field towards us.
"Boomer!" Bubbles chokes out. She scrambles to her feet and runs out to meet him, flinging herself in his arms. He hugs her tightly, picking her up as her knees collapse under her. He holds her close and rubs her head, looking at us. His eyes turn towards the now clear path to Blossom's body and his face tightens. I turn away from them and take Bubbles' place. My fingers grab Blossom's cold, dead hand and I feel the sting of tears prickling my eyes.
"Blossom," I murmur, running my hand down her jaw line. I shake my head and move her head onto my lap. Her head rolls limply onto my leg, her pink lips still parted in her last breath. "I'm so sorry, Blossom. I'm so, so sorry."

I float away from my body and raise up into the air. I feel light and full, a feeling I haven't felt in a long time. I take a fresh breath and smile, looking down. My smile fades as I watch Brick float into the air and start towards Mojo. Fear rips through my chest as I look at him. His hair hangs sharply in his face, red light glows from his eyes, my blood is splattered over his chest and pants, and fire forms a dangerous shield around him.
I try to fly back downwards, to tell him to stop. There was nothing he could do now. I was gone.
I float up faster until they're just specks on the ground. Finally I pass through the dark clouds into pure white, fluffy ones. I guild my hand through one, watching as the wisps followed my fingers.
I stop at a pretty high up cloud and look around. There was a light brown cottage on this one, if that's even possible. I frown and float across the wispy white sidewalk to the door. There is no address or last name, just a golden doorknob. I reach forward and grab the knob, twisting it. The door pops open and the smell of lavender fills my senses. I frown as a distant memory tries to fill my mind, but I can't get a picture.
I push open the door and float through into a comfy little living space. A white cloud carpet floats on the ground and two sitting chairs sit across from each other. A table sits between them, two steaming cups before each chair.
"Hello?" I call out, looking around. There was only one door in the room, and I went to it, pushing past it. It led into a kitchen with a classic table in the center.
"Why hello there!" A voice says. I jump and turn to see a man floating in another doorway. He has light gray hair, a slight shadow on his chin, and old glasses sitting on his nose.
"I'm sorry for intruding, sir, but do you know where I am?" I ask in confusion. The man laughs lightly and it makes me want to laugh, but I hold it in.
"Why you're in the Great Pass!" The man exclaims, throwing out his hands. I frown and raise an eyebrow. "The pass between Heaven and the real world," he explains with a sigh.
"H-heaven?" I choke out and frown. "So you mean I'm really dead?"
"Dead? Heaven's no! Child there is no such thing as "dead". There are the living, and then there are the angels," the man says with a light laugh.
"What am I then?" I ask quietly.
"You're what we call a "passer". Not very original I'm afraid," the man says.
"What's a "passer"?" I ask, taking a breath to calm my racing heart.
"A passer is a case where someone is killed too early in their life. When that happens you're brought to the pass and given the choice to join the angles or return to the living," the man says with a light shrug.
"I thought God knew when everything happened?" I ask curiously.
"Yes, but sometimes people change. Like that Monkey fellow, he was supposed to use the blade to kill you're little friend-"
"Brick!" I gasp. The man frowns slightly.
"Yes, that fellow. He was supposed to be killed, but the Monkey saw you and changed directions," the man chuckles.
"What's do funny about that?" I ask, dumbfounded. The man looks back at me and blinks slowly, his smile fading.
"Yes, I'm sorry. I suppose that wasn't as funny as I thought. Being up in the angles makes you look upon death in different views, I'm afraid," the man apologizes. He turns and grabs a white cloak off a hook, throwing it over his shoulders. I frown at it as my eye catches the name embroidered on it.
"John?" I ask in confusion. My eyes widen as I stop short. "P-Professor?"
"Hello my little rose," the man, Professor, whispers. Tears fill my vision and I race forward, throwing my arms around him. He hugs me back tightly, kissing the top of my head.
"Hey! Can I come out yet?" a voice asks. I pull away and watch as a girl with long brown hair appears out of an invisible door. My mouth fall into a smile as her purple eyes meet mine.
"Bunny!" I cry, running forward into her arms. She gasps as I grab her and laughs, patting my back.
"Hi Blossom!" she laughs, hugging me. We pull apart and I smile happily at her.
"I'm sorry, but we had to let you figure it out so not to affect your choice," Professor says, coming over.
"Choice?" I ask, wiping away my tears.
"To stay here with the angles or return to the living," Bunny says quietly, pulling away from me. My smile fades and I turn to Professor.
"Oh," I say weakly. "I-I don't know! I Don't want to leave you, but..."
"They're all down there waiting for you," Bunny says with a small smile. "Brick, Butch, Boomer, Bubbles, and Buttercup. They're all down there."
I nod and wipe away more tears. "I'm sorry," I whisper, grabbing her hand. She smiles sadly and leans forward, hugging me.
"Don't be," she laughs weakly, pulling away. "I'll always be with you." She pulls off a leather necklace with a purple jewel on it. I recognized it as the one we gave her for her tenth birthday. She presses it into my hand and smiles before disappearing in a shimmer of purple.
I turn towards Professor and frown at him. "Why are you in the pass?"
"Mojo is still me, and as long as he lives so do I. The angles like to call me the guardian of the pass, but I think they just don't know where to put me," he jokes with a light laugh. I laugh weakly and he smiles sadly, cupping my face. "I love you, rose."
"I do too," I whisper, placing my hand over his. He slowly begins to fade until he wink and is gone. I blink back tears and look at Bunny's necklace. I loop it over my neck and turn, walking out of the house.
I float back down to the earth and see everyone huddled around my body. Bubbles is pressed into Boomer, Butch is supporting Buttercup, and Brick is rubbing my cheek. I smile and come down in front of him. I bend forward and plant a small kiss on his forehead before turning and falling back into my body.
I gasp and sit forward as my breath resumes. Everyone turns towards me and stares in shock and horror. I gasp a few times as my heart restarts. A pink light covers my wound and when I look down it's healed.
"Blossom?" Brick asks weakly before throwing his arms around me. Everyone else joins until everyone is crying.
"I need to breath!" I gasp and everyone pulls away. I place my hand up to my neck and look down as I see the purple gem. I smile slightly, so it was real after all.
"How?" Bubbles cries, smiling sadly at me.
"Angles," I say with a soft smile. "Where's Mojo?"
Everyone looks at me and Brick clears his throat. "He's over there, but he's not dead."
"Good," I say quietly. I nod softly and smile. "Because I know just where to put him."
