I was seven and both my brothers were asleep. It was late, probably 11, but I couldn't sleep. I thought I heard...tears.
I walked down to Professor's white lab and looked around the room. It was as it had been the first day my brothers and I had come into the world, but the screen was off and there was a door slightly cracked open. I walked over to it, squinting my eyes at the bright light and saw the back of Professor's white lab coat. He was hunched slightly and I thought he was sick when I realized he was looking down at something, gripping to the railing. I had never been in this room before, so I has no clue how large it was.
I slowly cracked open the door more and slipped through, tucking myself in the corner with the shadows to hide me. I peeked over the railing and saw that 15ft below in a bowl shaped put a young girl, barely visible in her mad dash and a guy. I could see that the guy was sick with light green skin and blood shot eyes, black goop falling from his mouth. He scared me, but I kept my eyes glued to it because something scared me more. He was trying to bite the girl.
The man jumped towards the pink blur but the girl stopped short, ending up with him falling flat on his stomach before her. I gaped at her in surprise. She was young, probably five, with long orange hair held up with a pink bow. She was in a sleeveless pink dress that puffed out at the bottom and had a black stripe around her waist. Long white knee socks were ripped and stained with blood but her tan skin was flawless, making her pink eyes pop.
The man growled hungrily and grabbed her foot. She screamed in alarm and blasted him with a pink beam, leaving his arm a burnt stump. She clapped her hands over her mouth, her eyes glassed over with tears, and backs away, but the man stumbles to his feet and charges at her.
I leaped into the air and bolted down, snatching the girl up before the man, allowing him to crash into the wall. I flew her back up to the landing and she stared at me with large pink eyes.
"What are you doing?" Professor screamed, glaring his dark blue eyes at me. I held the girl closer to me, but she hopped out of my arms and came next to Professor, her pink eyes wavering. "Why are you here?"
"What are you doing?" I asked back, pointing to the girl. "Making children fight zombies?"
"She is as much of a child as you are," he said calmly, grabbing the young girl's shoulder. She flinched under his grip but didn't push him away, but I could see she wanted to.
"Why would you do this?" I asked angrily.
"Because you and your brothers are not meeting my expectations, but these girls...they will do nicely," he nodded evilly and his words hit me.
"We're not meeting your expectations?" I asked quietly. "You mean you're failing us?"
The girl looked up at professor, her mouth open slightly. "You can't fail them!"
"And I won't my dear," he said, patting her head. She looked back to me, but didn't seem like she believed it. "You were not meant for the purpose of my little rose and her sisters. You are my sons, not experiments."
"Then what is she?" I asked, looking down to the girl. She sucks in her cheeks, butting them nervously.
"All in due time, now go back," Professor commanded. I watched in shock as his eyes turned darker and his hair grayed. I bowed my head and turned away, going back to my bed.
"Breakfast scumbags!" A robot hisses, rattling a can in front of my door. I jump awake, hitting my head against the wall. The bottom of my door opens and a plate slides in. I crawl over to it and stare down at the sad plastic water cup and small scoop of potatoes.
"You're the only scumbag I see," I hear Blossom shout, but going quiet. She probably found out what her breakfast consists of. "Are you serious?"
"Just be glad we got something, who knows what they get," I whisper. Last night during an anger strike Blossom had "accidentally" punched a hole in the walk that divided us. It made it a lot easier to talk.
"Yeah, I'm sure Mojo just loves us," she replies sarcastically, her head appearing in the small hole.
"Hmm, he used to," I say, referring to my dream.
"Memory?" Blossom sighs. They were way more frequent now that I had time to think back. I just nod. "What was it this time?"
"I snuck into the lab and caught Mojo-er-Professor making you fight some zombie dude," I say. Blossom sighs looking slightly relieved.
"The day you 'saved' me?" she clarifies with a smirk. I roll my eyes and scratch my chin.
"Blossy, is there a memory you're afraid of me seeing?" I ask. Blossom gets quiet and she looks down. "Is it that bad?"
"You'll see it soon enough I'm sure. It doesn't have to do between us, but it puts me to shame. I don't want to remember what I did that day," she murmurs, disappearing from the hole, but I know she's still listening.
"I promise it won't change my opinion of you," I tell her. She doesn't answer but I assume she's nodding.
"How long do you think until he'll bring us back up?" she asks finally. I shrug.
"Dunno, this is a monkey we're talking about," I laugh. She laughs lightly in response and reappears.
"A highly intelligent monkey," she reminds me. I roll my eyes and open my mouth to speak when my door opens.
"Mojo will see you now," the robot says. I get up, glancing back at the hole but the pink orbs have disappeared.
I step to the door and hold out my hands. The robot snaps magnetic shackles that if taken off without a jet will explode and drags me out of the room. We pass by pink's cell and I see her watchful eyes follow us through the slot before ducking back under.
"Ah, Brick!" Mojo says happily. I keep my hands in front of me even though they aren't bound together and glare at him.
"Ah, monkey," I return. Mojo laughs at my anger and leans forward in his throne. Wow, this guy thinks he's a king!
"Now that your little friend isn't here, I want to repeat my offer," he says.
"What makes you think my answer will be any different?" I ask stubbornly. Mojo frowns, loosing his stature and sighs.
"You can't seriously be siding with that failed girl?" he says. I run forward until I'm right I front of him.
"Never say that about her, again!" I yell. The robots catch up to me, grabbing my arms and holding me back.
"You actually believe what she's told you?" Mojo laughs. I grit my teeth and growl at him.
"She hasn't told me anything, I remembered it! I remember her, her sisters, my life, and I sure remember the dad that actually cared for me!" I yell. Mojo stops and his black eyes lighten slightly.
"Brick...i do care for you! I'm doing this because I care for you..." he whispers, sadness filing his voice. I don't even flinch.
"You don't care for anything but yourself! if you really cared you wouldn't have drank the chemical x and you wouldn't have pushed us or-" I stop and stare at him.
"Or create Blossom and her sisters," he finishes for me, smiling evilly. I take a deep breath and rip my arms from the robots, rubbing them and turning away.
"Do what you want to me. You can kill me or beat me or starve me, but I will never stop loving her," I say, walking back to the dungeon with the robots close behind. I stop before the cave and look back at him, pure hatred pouring through me. "Or hating you."

I head the clanking of robots as Brick is brought back down into the prison. I look at him through the wall but he won't turn to me.
"Mojo would like to see you," the robot says, turning open my door. I leave the wall and allow them to hand cuff me, taking me upstairs. When I get there Mojo sits on his throne frownin at the floor.
"My son seems to think that you're the good guy, Ms. Blossom," he says, tapping his foot. He looks up at me, his black eyes cold. "I'm going to think he doesn't know."
"Not yet, but he won't have to worry about that. I think you've already decided on my fate," I reply coldly. Mojo smiles sadly and nods.
"I'm sorry, rose, but you're causing too much problems," he says. I nod slowly, frowning. "You'll have until morning to say good bye."
"Thanks," I reply sarcastically. The robots bring me back down stairs and I turn to the hole.
"Brick?" I ask quietly. He continues to stare at the wall and panic builds through me. What did he do to him?
"I'm sorry," he says, his voice strained and weak. I furrow my eyebrows and blink my eyes in confusion.
"For what?" I ask slowly.
"I put you in danger, I'm so sorry," he shakes his head and sits down, bending his back and putting his head in his hands.
"Brick, I put myself in danger the day I-" I stopped, unable to continue but Brick turned around to look at me. I sigh and lean up against the hole. "I guess it's time you should know what happened."
"Blossom you don't-" Brick starts but I hold up my hand to stop him.
"I would prefer to explain myself than having you see it. You need to know why," I say quietly. Brick turns around to fully face me and after a minute nods in agreement. I release a sigh and start.
"You need to kill him," Professor commands. We were in the room from where Brick had first found me. I was thirteen and the boys were fifteen. Professor had us all fighting some of his prisoners and they Al lay around the pit, broken and wounded.
"Kill them?" Bubbles gasps. The boys stand next to Professor on the platform, staring down sadly at us but unable to interfere. I was in my training suit that the sleeves went to my shoulders and pants at my knees. There was a stripe of black along my arms and legs that connected together around my stomach and the rest was pink. My hair was pulled back, my bangs swiped off to the side.
"We can't kill a wounded person!" Buttercup fights. She's in the same outfit as me, but her short hair is straightened around her narrow face. Bubbles is blue with her hair in two curled pigtails.
"They're right, they can't do that!" Butch fights from above. The others nod in agreement while I stare at the bodies. They looked like they needed to be killed, they were suffering.
"You will kill them!" Professor shouts, his eyes pitch black and his hair total gray. I stare up at him, noticing small bits of green fur coming from him.
I walk up to the bodies and stare down at one. The woman looks up at me and I lift my foot above her head. She closes her eyes but I can't push it down. It was against me. I glanced up at Mojo and he glares down at us. I close my eyes, tears biting at me and smash it down.
"You've disappointed me girls," Professor says, standing before us. The boys had already gone off to bed, though I doubt any of them would sleep. I was the only one who killed.
"You can't expect us to do that!" Bubbles shouts angrily.
"Yet, she did!" Professor points to me and I look down. Buttercup puts a hand around me and glares at Professor.
"You didn't give us much of a choice!" She fights.
"You're right...i didn't and i'll do it again. If you don't kill them next time i'll ne forced to fail you," he says, turning away and leaving. Bubbles chokes a sob and Buttercup grabs my shoulders, pulling me into a hug.
"That night we agreed to escape, to avoid any more deaths," I say, pausing g to catch my breath. Brick looked up at me with large red eyes, amazed at my story. I close my eyes, holding in the tears and start up again.
I crept into Professor's room and grabbed three familiar bottles. It was my turn to make dinner and I made the boy's favorite-pasta. In the sauce I mixed in the potion and while my sisters and I are it without sauce the boys gulped the sauce down. They went to bed and we packed up.
"We left that night, Professor failed us and you had no memory of it," I finish.
"You mean, you're the reason we forgot?" Brick asks, looking as if I hit him. I duck my head, the tears raging against me.
"I'm sorry, I did what was best for you," I apologized.
"No! You did what was best for you! You escaped and left us with Mojo. You started over while we lived with no clue! How was any of that for us!" he shouts. I narrow my eyes and shake my head quickly.
"You don't want your brain to understand, fine! Once you remember you will," I sneer, disappearing from his view.
"I wouldn't have to remember if it wasn't for you!" he shouts back. The tears start to fall down my cheeks and I wipe them away.
"Well you won't have to worry about me much longer," I whisper and hide my head.
Okay, I like really want to cry right now, but I must be strong! That was really depressing for Blossoms first chapter. I can't promise how well the next one will end. ;) Thanks for reading, bye!
