How to Apply the Sticker
Here's a tutorial on how to apply the Project Refresh sticker to your book cover. Many programs and free websites offer the tools to get the job done, however for these instructions I decided to use Pixlr for it's easy, user-friendly interface.
You do not need to download any programs or software for this. Pixlr is a free online editor that can be used either on a computer or on a smartphone. These are for the instructions on how to do so on the computer. Note that you will already need to have your cover and whichever color Project Refresh sticker you chose downloaded to your computer.
1. Type 'pixlr.com/editor' in your address bar to bring you to the website.
2. Once in the editor, click File > Open image...
3. Go to the folder you stored your book cover in. Select the cover and either double-click or click the Open button.
4. Your book cover will open up. Now repeat the above process, click File > Open image... and select whichever color sticker you would like to use for Project Refresh. Double-click or click the Open button.
5. The Project Refresh sticker will open next to your book cover.
6. While selected on the Project Refresh sticker, you will see a section on the right for Layers. Left click on the only available layer, which should be the sticker, and drag it over to your book cover.
7. Once you have dragged it over to your book cover, release your finger from the left button on your mouse.
8. If done successfully, this will open the sticker as a layer on top of your book cover.
9. Next step is to click Edit > Free transform...
10. This will place an adjustable border around the sticker, allowing you to change the dimensions of the size by clicking on any of the blue squares and pulling them either inward or outward. If you hover your cursor in the middle of the sticker, it will turn into a small gray icon and will allow you to move it as well. You can now drag it to wherever you'd like to position it on the cover.
11. You're done! Now all you need to do is save the book cover. I recommend saving it as a .png format, as that will provide the best quality for your image.
You are now considered a Refresher!
Slap the #ProjectRefresh hashtag onto your book and upload your sexy new cover to show it off.
