We had our Opening Ceremony on the 10th of July, 2023, and we officially declared the second season of Project Pen open AND swore in our S2 Contestants, 2023! This was done LIVE in the MAIN CRIB and if you were not there for the show, you missed out a lot!

Below is a summary of events that happened on the night of the Opening and the comments of some of our Crib Members on their experiences on that night!❤️🔥

OPENING CEREMONY
ORDER OF EVENTS

1) Opening of the group {7:50pm}

•First 10 members of audience to show up booked their golden seats and would be rewarded for punctuality before the start of Stage One of Project Pen!

• An opening stunt between the hosts shook up the atmosphere... It was a prank fight!😱

2) COMMENCEMENT OF CEREMONY.{8PM}

• Opening speech by one of the founders of Project Pen.{performed by Wendy opurum Ada_xoxo_ }

• One of the founders was asked to talk briefly about what Project Pen is all about.{Done by Tori lovetori_xo }

• One of the judges of last year's Project Pen was asked to talk briefly about their experience as a judge last year. {Done by Temmy Iyanuoluwa-Temi }

• One of the judges of this year's Project Pen was asked to talk about what they expect from the contestants this year. {Ifebode was called for this Ifebodee__ }

• The winner of Project Pen last year was invited to talk about their experience as a contestant of projectpen house {Lade took the mic yompous }

3) INTRODUCTION OF THE BACKSTAGE CREW OF PROJECT PEN.

Audience were engaged in a fun and interactive activity, such as a game, a quiz,or a Q and A or something else.

Batch one {Contestants 001 to 010} were introduced with their 'about me' info and also, telling us why they should be the last man standing.

Batch two {Contestants 011 to 020} were introduced with their 'about me' info and also, telling us why they should be the last man standing.

Batch three {contestant 021 to 035} with their 'about me' info and also, telling us why they should be the last man standing.

14) AUDIENCE ANALYSIS TIME
Members of the group talked about their favourite contestants. Some contestants like BLUE N' GREY and ARTEMIS were lucky to have such a fan base created in such a short time. Other contestants like DEWDROP and MARA also had a fair amount of buzz created around them too!

15) OFFICIAL SWEARING IN OF THE CONTESTANTS INTO THE PROJECTPEN HOUSE.

The Main Crib group was left open untiil 12:30am for further interaction among the members of the groups.

Q: How was the opening ceremony for you?
A: I am not going to lie. The past few months have been so exhausting for me but that night, I think I would not be exaggerating if I say it was the most alive I have felt in months. It was beautiful. ❤️✨ Different writers, coming together to host a ceremony that huge? It's giving mad unification vibes.🔥🤌❤️ I loved it.

Q: We appreciate your kind words. Can you tell us why you decided to be present for our opening ceremony? Was what it about Project Pen that drew your attention?
A: I just felt that I had to be there. It was such a familiar space and it didn't take long for me to loosen myself and bask in the feeling. ❤️

Q: Alright. So which contestant did you start rooting for through the meet and greet?
A: Nutcracker. There's something about that contestant.❤️✨ I don't know how to explain it but I am rooting for her.💫

Q: How was the opening ceremony for you?
A: I don't think words can explain. 😂 Yunno, when the group was opened ten minutes before the ceremony 😂, the way messages kept piling was just overwhelming. 😂🤸🏽‍♀️ I could literally picture the thing. It was like everyone was rushing in to get a seat. 😂 The ceremony was crazy, mad!😂🤸🏽‍♀️ vibes on vibes.

Q: Can you tell us why you decided to be present for our opening ceremony? Was what it about Project Pen that drew your attention?
A: Ah😂 Everything! Every single thing about project pen drew my attention. And the hype!? Why would anybody not want to be there😂🔥!? Who doesn't want to be part of the biggest show in the wattnaija cosmos?

Q: I know right! So through the meet and meet, which contestant(s) did you start stanning?
A: Star, Pink, and Artemis.

Q: Why them?
A: I liked their confidence 😂🔥. It felt like they know what is to come and are ready to take it head on! I like me some competitive contestants. So... yeah.

A: It was very fun to be honest.

Q: Can you tell us why you decided to be present for our opening ceremony? Was what it about Project Pen that drew your attention?
A: I love competitions, and I love competition shows. I'd have loved to contest, but I have a very irregular schedule, so for now the least I can do is support.

Q: Which contestant did you start stanning from the live show?
A: No one for now. But I know in coming time, I will. 🌚
