JUDGE JK ROWLING

1) Question: Was there any contestant whose work stood out to you in stage three?

Answer: Hm, to be honest, yes. There were quite a few, but overall, it would have to be Zoë. My mum laughed so much reading it.😂 And Nutcracker too, I guess. I loved the Project Pen Simulator idea, it was so creative. Other works from contestants like HandsomeLad42, Mara, Nutcracker and Delphinium also stood out to me.

2) Question: Can you safely say a good number of contestants did well in this stage?

Answer: Truthfully, no. A few did. It's not enough to say 'a good number' did. Many contestants still have a lot to learn. Especially when it comes to thinking outside the box. I'm not sure many know to do this, or maybe they are just trying to be safe. This stage, for example, was comedy. And most works focused on making the characters chaotic and extra, in order to make the work funny. Meanwhile, comedy is vast. There is dark comedy too. Not everything has to be chirpy and shit. There's even sarcastic comedy. Thinking outside the box is something these contestants need to learn how to do, if they are serious about being the last man/woman standing.

3) Question: Do you think compared to the beginning of the competition, some contestants have improved?

Answer: Yes, for sure. I'd love to call out some names too. Zoë improved the most for me. HandsomeLad42, too. Aang got better with punctuations, but I can still see some struggle. Some contestants, however, are still the same way we met them. No improvement from them, and no slacking either. E go shock una when we go just commot you sha.

4) Question: Do you feel you know the future top five in this competition, or do you think the judges might be shocked by the outcome?

Answer: I feel I do. 😂 Hear me out. I'm a bit intuitive, so I have a feeling I know the top 5. And yes, it's going to have people you least expect in it. People you expect. And one person that may surprise you. Am I foreshadowing? Maybe. 😂 The winner go shock una the most sha. But um, all these is just me fortune telling. E fit shock me too. But I don't know, I'm highly intuitive, so I don't think my fortune telling is going to be that contrasting with what will actually happen in future.

What I will tell the contestants? Don't underestimate yourself sha. Don't give up either. And if you are already a star contestant who everyone praises for their talent, don't relent too. It could be you.

5) Question: What do you think is a major area these contestants find difficulty in the competition?

Answer: Definitely thinking outside the box.

We have good writers, sure, but we don't have DARING writers. And as a writer, you must be able to explore like you have only one chance to do it. Make your research, work on your plot to perfection, add in your findings and create a fucking masterpiece!

Many contestants are too so and so. In this stage, the only writer that managed to surprise me in this creativity thing was Nutcracker. When I read stories from contestants, I don't want to feel like I am reading the same story, with different words. I want different stories with different vibes, but as of now in Project Pen, we don't quite have that yet.

I hope to see more from the contestants who make it to Stage Four nonetheless.

Another problem I picked off some contestants is stubbornness sha. You correct a mistake and see it repeat again in the next stage... I don't understand why this happens. Project Pen is not just a contest, it's also a learning ground. It's pointless if we review your work and give pointers and you don't take them into consideration. I won't call names, but do better.

All in all, the contestants are trying sha. A good number of them are improving and learning, and some are doing better as the stages go by. Don't relent.

6) Question: Which line do you think has more people swimming in😹 Red line or green line?

Answer: I mean, considering this is the battles and the contestants are in pairs where one makes it to the Green Line and the other, Red Line, it's quite obvious the answer to this question. And plus, we have a triple threat match where one out of three contestants will make it to the Green Line. It's obvious the Red Line go plenty. 😂 Literally HALF of the contestants are in the Red Line, so blud? Things are sha going to be hot.

This stage is just luck to be honest. It's not 'God, let my work be good', it's 'God, let my partner write rubbish.' 😂 A contestant's can be so good, but they still fall in the Red Line because their partner's work was unfortunately better. Then, imagine a pair that don't even write well at all. One of them will still end up in the Green Line, while contestants with even better works are swimming in the Red Line. This stage is sha luck. Just pray you don't get unfortunate.

7) Question: What was your experience judging the stage?

Answer: I laughed sha.😂I laughed at a few works. I read a few with blank faces, and one work — I won't call names — gave me a mental breakdown.😂

I became a mad woman on the group o, vouching and fighting for this particular contestant to be evicted in this stage, because of how angry the work made me. Did they get evicted? Who knows?💀

8) Question: Any words to the contestants?

*THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!*

Look, you're in a contest and not writing for leisure. Your works must slap! Some people are going to be giving it their all, so if you decide to be basic, you will 'basically' also get evicted too.

Let's learn passion in everything we do. If you must do something, give your all into it. Don't relax. Don't relent. Don't give up. You're no quitter, either.

Also, read the reviews we give you and correct your errors where and where you make certain mistakes. Don't jus gloss over it and repeat your error again. That's not how things are done o. In this life, if you are not ready to do your best and open your mind to improvement, you cannot achieve greater heights. Aim higher than the skies, so if the worst comes to the worst, you fall among the stars.

Good night, everyone. 🫶🏽

A/N: Y'all have heard from our lovely Judge.😭💕 I hope you all enjoyed this session.🔥
