"Hey, where you been?" Kat asked as I walked through the door. She was sitting on the couch with a book in her lap and her book bag by her feet. The book was the red one she had been reading the day they pulled Renee out of the lake.

"Take a wild guess," I said as I opened the fridge in search of a snack.

Kat smiled. "Find out anything new? Did you get any answers?"

"Oh, I found out plenty, but no answers; only more questions." I pulled an orange out of the fridge and made my way to the trash while I started to peel it.

"Typical," Kat muttered as she returned to her book.

Having skinned my orange, I joined her on the couch and pointed at her book. "What you reading?"

"Inkheart," she said.

"Inkheart? Isn't that the one about the girl who can read things out of a book? And her dad can too? And they have a silly nickname for him: Silvertongue or something like that?"

"That's the one."

"Haven't you already read that?" I put an orange wedge in my mouth and sucked the juice out of it like a vampire.

"Yeah, but I was bored and this was the first book I pulled off the shelf."

I rolled my eyes. Kat would reread text books if she were bored enough: Thankfully that had never happened before.

I finished off the juice of another square, thinking hard. Should I tell her? The debate took so long I had nearly finished my orange before I came to a decision. I took a deep breath. "Kat?" I said slowly. For once, she stopped reading at once and looked at me. Her hazel eyes were glowing with anticipation. "Could you Google something for me?"

Her narrowed her eyes. "Why?" she asked.

"Well, it's just..." I explained everything that had happened at the hospital and all Renee had told me. When I had finished she asked, "So why do I have to Google it? Why can't you do it?"

I sighed. "I don't know. I guess I'm just scared of what I might find. Renee is so sure that I'm her sister. What if I Google it and find that she's right? What if I came from where she did? What if we all did? I'm scared that if I do it my whole world might tear apart."

Kat stared long and hard at me. Finally, she took a deep breath, dug in her backpack, pulled out her iPad, and said, "What's it called again?"

A wide smile broke out on my face. "Kat, you're the best."

"I know," she said as she pressed the power button. "And don't you forget it."

Author's Note: I know this took forever to update and it's short and all that stuff, but I'm going to be updating this one more often. Anyway, what do you think Kat and Rhea will find when they Google "Project Omega"? I've Googled it and it came up with some NASA program. Keep in mind that this is a futuristic story. You may be asking yourself, Why is Google in a futuristic book? My answer is that Google is awesome and would probably still be around at this time. Anyway, what do you think they will find? Shout-out to the person who gets the closest. It will be in the next chapter, just for anyone who wants to argue that they had a closer guess than the person who wins.
