LORELEI

LEANING ON a monobloc here at the club while waiting for customers was never really boring but not this time. Loki was not here because of some documents in Clark High School Police Department that he needs to get. While Jamie, of course she's with Loki, volunteered to come with Loki and accompany him, though Loki doesn't really need to bring accompany. Alistair was in the middle of the road due to an invitation especially for him, that's why he's absent today. And so, I was left here hoping for some customers to ask for our club's help.

*knock knock*

At last!

Binuksan ko ang pinto and the gives in a lady in our school uniform wearing an eyeglasses and holding a big notebook.

"Ako nga pala si Leona Maracas from the Music Club at nandito ako upang humingi ng tulong sa inyo."

She's from music club?

"Please take a sit Miss Leona. So how may our club help you?"

"Pwede ba muna ako magtanong? Where are the other members of this club? I thought I'm going to see the four of you."

"They are gone for a while because of some busy things they need to handle. So tulad ng sinabi mo kanina, nandito ka para humingi ng tulong. What kind of help can we give to you?"

"You see, I am part of the Music Club and Christmas is near so we have some activities to go through and one of those activities is to make a Christmas Special Concert. Pero may 'di inaasahang pangyayari, ang isa naming member at kaibigan ko na si Joyce Bernardo ay bigla na lamang nag-back out and now she's been missing for two days. That member was very special to us dahil siya ang aming main vocalist sa gaganaping concert."

"Okay, I understand that you're worry about your friend Joyce, pero sigurado ka ba na nawawala talaga siya? At kung sigurado nga kayo ay kailan at saan niyo siya huling nakita? "

"Kinabukasan nang sinabi niyang magbaback out siya ay hindi na siya nag-rereply sa mga texts and calls namin. We keep on texting and calling her but it always cannot be reach. Even her parents can't contact her. Hindi rin siya umuwi sa bahay niya at pati sa iba pang mga kaibigan niya ay wala rin. Ang huli naming pagkikita ay noong nagback out siya."

"Have you already reported this to the police quarters?"

"We already reported it to the police but their respond was too slow. That is why I'm here asking for your club's help."

"Okay. Do you find any clue to find Joyce?"

"Actually there's a piece of paper that we found inside her noong naiwan niya ito sa Music Room. I think it will be a help."

She gave me the paper she's telling at binasa ko ito.

"Joyce, I will be gone for a while. To where I will go to, I'm sorry but I can't say. I want you to trust me.

Dans."

"Can I ask if you know who this Dans is?" I asked her.

"Si Dans Kyle Javier ang boyfriend ni Joyce at sa pagkakaalam ko ay mabuti lang naman ang relasyon nila. Kaya nagulat din talaga ako nang mabasa ko ang letter na 'yan"

"Dito ba nag-aaral si Dans? Kung oo ay pwede mo bang sabihin kung saan ang room niya?"

"Classmate ko si Dans pero kung pupuntahan mo siya ngayon, it won't make sense dahil 3 days na rin yata siyang 'di pumapasok."

"Gano'n ba? Kung gayon ay itong letter pa lang ang makakatulong sa atin para mahanap si Joyce."

"I can give to you kung saan nakatira si Dans kung gusto mo siya makausap pero hindi ako sigurado kung nandoon siya. Kailangan ko nang magpaalam dahil may practice pa kami para sa concert. Thank you po sa pagtulong."

She writes the address of Dans and also her number then bid her goodbye.

Pagkaalis ni Leona ay saktong tumunog ang aking na nagsasabing mayroong tumatawag. The caller is Loki so I pressed the button answering the call.

"Hello Loki, tapos na ba kayo diyan?"

"Yes, but Inspector Estrada, Jamie and I are having some chit-chats so I guess we can't be there till late afternoon."

"Okay, so how are the documents there?"

"Not really interesting so don't ask for those papers. So how is our club going there?"

"Speaking of our club, mayroon tayong new client. Her name is Leona Maracas. Do you know her?"

"I don't know a person who has that name but if I had met her, I probably forgot her. So what's her case?"

And so I told him about the case including the letter.

"So the letter tells that the guy wants to end relationship with the girl you're saying that's been missing."

"How can you know that Dans wants to cut strings with her?"

"That's another way of a guy to say that he's breaking up with her but that's only one of the possible cases. There can be other things too but for now, you search who this Dans is and I will ask officer Estrada about the cctv where she was last seen."

"Okay, I will do then. Bye."

Tinapos ko na ang tawag at sunod na tinawagan si Alistair at sinabi ko rin sa kaniya ang tungkol sa case.

"Sa tingin mo ba gusto na talagang makipaghiwalay ni Dans kay Joyce?" Tanong ko kay Al para malaman ko rin ang opinyon niya tungkol dito.

"May posibilidad nga na iyon mismo ang gustong sabihin ng letter pero hindi ko pa rin maiwasan na magtaka dahil sa mga salita sa hulihan ng letter. 'I want you to trust me.' Nakapagtataka na naglagay siya ng ganiyang pangungusap. Sa ngayon katulad ng sinabi ni Loki, mabuti nga siguro kung makakausap mo si Dans."

"Sige Al, salamat. Tatawag na lang ulit ako mamaya kapag may bagong informations."

"Okay Lori. I will still do all I can to help with this case."
And we both hung up the call.

Nagready na akong umalis para puntahan ang address na binigay kanina ni Leona. Ang address ng bahay ni Dans. Pero pipihitin ko pa lang sana ang doorknob ng pinto ay nakaramdam ako ng kakaiba. It's very unusual for me na ako lang muna mag-isa ngayon dahil halos busy ang lahat. Ni wala man lang akong kasama papunta sa bahay ni Dans ngayon. But now is not the time to moment 'cause there is still a missing person that we need to find. Pinihit ko na nang tuluyan ang doorknob ng pinto at umalis ng mag-isa.

It took me 15 minutes to arrive at the place where Dans live. His house was just right for a family to live. I knock on the door at binuksan ito ng isang babaeng nasa mid-40s. Base sa suot nito ay mukhang isa ito sa maid ng bahay.

"Ano ang kailangan mo iha?" Tanong nito sa'kin pagkabukas ng pinto.

"May itatanong lang po sana ako. Nandiyan po ba si Dans Kyle Javier?"

"Ah si Dans ba? Wala siya rito iha. Sa pagkakaalam ko ay umalis siya kagabi rito at hindi pa bumabalik hanggang ngayon. Sabi nila Ma'am, ang nanay ni Dans, nagpaalam naman daw si Dans na hindi makakauwi kaya walang dapat ipag-alala."

"Ganoon po ba? Alam niyo po ba kung saan nagpunta si Dans?"

"Pasensiya na iha ah pero hindi ko rin kasi alam."

"Ah okay lang naman po iyon."

"Pero sa pagkakaalam ko ay may nakadikit na sticky note yata iyon sa may ref. Ako lagi ang unang nagigising at alam ko na sulat kamay ni Dans ang nasa note. Sandali lang at kukunin ko ito."

Pagkasabi ng matandang babae ay pumasok na ito sa loob ng bahay. Sticky note? Bakit naman mag-iiwan ng note si Dans?

Pagkabalik ng matanda ay ibinigay na nito ang nasabing papel at bago ako umalis ay nagtanong muna ulit ako rito.

"Pwede ho ba ulit magtanong? Kilala niyo po ba si Joyce Bernardo?"

"Ah si Joyce ba? Oo naman. Ang bait-bait ng bata na iyon at pabor na pabor lahat ng kapamilya ni Dans sa kaniya."

"Gano'n po ba? Sige po at maraming salamat po. Aalis na po ako." Pamamaalam ko at saka ako pumanhik.

Ngayon ay lalo akong naguguluhan. Dahil kung gano'n na lang ang suporta ng pamilya ni Dans kay Joyce, ano ang dahilan para maghiwalay silang dalawa?

Binasa ko ang sticky note na mas nakapagpagulo sa aking isipan.

'If you're searching for me, find her first. You will know the story behind this case. Go to the place where she went the most. Don't be late but don't be too early. 'Cause I'm all right here getting ready."

Nakakasakit naman ng ulo itong letter na ito. Buti hindi nagtaka si Manang sa note na 'to. Nag-ring ulit ang cellphone ko and again, si Loki ang tumatawag.

"Napapadalas yata ang pagtawag mo?" pambungad ko sa kanya.

"Tsk. Just want to say that Joy was seen kidnapped near the gate of the school.
It's the time between 5:30-6:00 PM." He said in no emotion voice of him.

"Okay thank you for the information. By the way, pinuntahan ko na ang bahay ni Dans pero ang binigay lang sa akin ay isang note."

"Note? Okay."

"What? Hindi mo man lang itatanong kung anong sabi sa note?" Tanong ko na may halong pagtataka.

"I guess I'll be heading home later late evening so don't wait for me." He said and suddenly hang up.

Seriously? Binabaan ako? Iniiwasan niya ba 'yung tanong ko? At saka uuwi siya mamaya ng late na ng gabi? He's being unsual.

Dumiretso muna ako sa isang convenience store para uminom at maupo sandali.

Pinag-iisipan ko itong note. 'You need to find her first.' Si Joyce ba ang tinutukoy dito? At sa sinabi ni Loki kanina, it's confirmed that Joyce was really kidnapped.
Pero bakit may ganoong note si Dans? Siya ba ang nagpakidnap kay Joyce?

Ang gulo talaga. Paano ko ba malalaman kung saan ang lugar na madalas puntahan ni Joyce? Ah tama, tatawagan ko na lang si Leona.

It took Leona 10 seconds before she answers my call.

"Hello? Who is this?"

"Leona? This is Lori. Can I ask you about Joyce?"

"Sure Ms. Lori. What do you want to ask?"

"Do you know where Joyce went the most?"

"As her friend, kilalang kilala ko na siya at sa pagkakaalam ko ay madalas siyang pumunta sa Amusement Park malapit sa bahay ni Dans. Madalas kami roon pumunta at nagpapahinga sa bench malapit sa carousel." Pagpapaliwanag niya.

"Maraming salamat. Kailan nga pala ang concert niyo at saan ito gaganapin?"

"Bukas na ng gabi. December 24, sa may Amusement Park din."

"Okay, thank you ulit." Sabi ko at saka ko tinapos ang tawag.

Dec. 24 na pala bukas? Feeling ko tuloy mag-isa lang ako sa pasko. Halos lahat din kasi busy. Si Loki nga mamayang gabi pa uuwi. Tapos may case pa na sinosolve. Paano kaya ang pasko ko ngayon?

Loki seems not to be bothered about Christmas. I never see him in Christmas season so I don't have any clue about how Loki celebrates Christmas. I still don't know him well I guess.

Umuwi na ako sa apartment pagkatapos ko maubos ang iniinom ko dahil madilim na pala at hindi ko man lang namalayan kanina. Napagdesisyunan ko na bukas na lang ako pupunta sa Amusement Park dahil pagod na rin ako.

I opened the door of our apartment and it is filled of darkness. Kahit na alam kong may kaunting christmas decorations sa apartment I can't feel the spirit of Christmas because I'm alone. Hindi na ako nag-abala pa na buksan ang ilaw ng apartment at dumiretso na ako sa aking kwarto at natulog.

Kinabukasan ay nagising at naghanda ako ng maaga dahil nga pupunta pa ako ng Amusement Park. Lumabas agad ako ng kwarto and to my surprise, there's no Loki sitting on a sofa with a coffee or book on his hand that I found.

I went to his room and knock but there's no answer so I open the door. Yet, he's not there. I also tried to call him and Jamie but they're not picking their phone. Ipinagsawalang bahala ko na lang ito at umalis na.

Dumiretso ako ng Amusement Park malapit sa bahay ni Dans. Hindi naman ako nahirapan maghanap dahil nang nagtanong ako sa mga tao roon ay malapit lang naman pala.

I go to the bench near the carousel just like what Leona told me yesterday. If an ordinary person who's merrily walking around would sit here, he/she would not notice a white scented paper under the bench. Who would have thought that there's a paper under and then will try to get it?

As I simply get the paper without looking suspicious I go to the nearby ice cream parlor to refresh. Another note na naman at ngayon, sigurado na akong sinasadya na talaga lahat ng mga ito. It could be Dans or any other person that could've done these things.

'Are you now confused? Look what surrounds the bench where you get this, aren't they fun? The carousel, the bench, the ice cream parlor, and the people, did you notice anything? Will you get to the finish line? Hurry up 'cause we are patiently waiting here. Remember where the arrow was pointed.'

Oh yes! I am so confused. I don't know what to do anymore. I think I'm getting dizzy of all the notes that I get just to find Joyce. If only I'm not alone. I almost forgot that I will update Alistair about this case so I immediately call him.

"Sorry Lori if I cannot be there right now. I am still on my way to Manila. Just text me about where I will find you. About the said note, why don't you try to observe the said places? You might find a clue that will help you." Al said as I explain to him how the case is going.

"Thanks Al, you are really my friend. I'll just send you a message about the place."
I said and hung up.

Dahil hindi ko rin alam ang dapat kong gawin ngayon ay lumabas muna ako ng ice cream parlor pagkatapos ko maubos ang inorder kong ice cream.

Because it's almost christmas, the Amusement Park has its christmas decorations. Every part of the park is filled with joy and happiness. The delight in every person is written on their faces stating the fact that they're satisfied by what they see. Tinignan ko ang mga bagay na sinabi sa note, ang carousel, bench, ice cream parlor, at mga tao. Wala naman akong makita na kakaiba dahil halos lahat sila ay kakikitaan ng kaligayahan.

I search for arrows but to my disappointment I found nothing. Ano ba ang tinutukoy na arrow dito? Wala naman akong makita kahit na isa. Umupo na lang ulit ako sa may bench at tulad ng sinabi ni Al ay nag-observe na lang muna ako.

It's already 24 of December and I feel like I'm going to be alone until the time strikes midnight. Meaning, it's Christmas. I just wonder kung mahahanap ko ba si Joyce bago ang concert nila.
I shook my head and erased my thoughts earlier. Mahahanap ko si Joyce at hindi ako magiging mag-isa sa pasko. I remember na sinabi ko kay Loki noon na sasamahan ko siya magcelebrate ng Christmas.

Habang nagmumuni-muni ako ay may umupo na bata sa tabi ko. A cute little girl with her hair curled and in a pink dress of her that makes her shine started to draw a certain object. I watch her draw and I can't help myself but to smile because of her cuteness. Her eyes sparkle as she finished her drawing like she's very proud of herself to finish it. Pagkatapos ay naglagay siya ng isang ray line na may arrow sa dulo na tinuturo ang drawing niya. Sa may endpoint ng ray ay sinulat niya ang kanyang pangalan. Charlotte, a pretty name that suits her. Pagkatapos ay umalis na siya at pumunta sa may fountain malapit sa kinauupuan ko and I guess she will go to her family to see it.

Wait, ray? Fountain? Sa part na ito ng Amusement Park,marami ang tao sa may Fountain dahil sa ganda nito tignan. Pumunta ako sa may Fountain and I found a perfect spot. A spot where I saw the missing arrow. It's not really a literal arrow that's pointing somewhere. They are the carousel, the bench, and the ice cream parlor in the form of an arrow. If you'll look from above, siguradong magiging mukhng arrow ang tatlong ito. Like a ray, the carousel is the endpoint because of its circular shape. The bench and the ice cream parlor are the straight line and at the end of the parlor was a corner which may look like the end of the arrow. And the arrow was pointing at the abandoned building that is meters away from here.

Where are the people? They are at the fountain and you just need to find a spot that makes you see the missing arrow.

Dali-dali akong umalis sa park at pumunta sa may building. At habang tumatakbo ako papuntang sakayan ng tricycle ay napansin ko ang mga lalaking nakasuot ng itim na nagmamadaling umalis din ng park. Mukha ngang tama ang hinala ko kaya nagtext ako kaagad kay Al na dumiretso na sa building na sinasabi ko. I also texted Loki and Jamie na pumunta na rin dahil kailangan ko rin sila. Saktong pagkatapos ko magtext ay nakarating na ang tricycle na sinakyan ko sa abandoned building na ito.

Bago pumasok ay hinanap ko muna ang stun pen ko pero sa kamalas-malasan ay naiwan ko ito sa loob ng bag ko sa apartment. Dahan dahan akong pumasok at naghanap ng bagay na maaaring makatulong sa akin. I only found a wooden stick and I'm not sure if it can make a person unconscious but I still grab it.

I walk slowly not making any noise and tried to find Joyce inside this building. Napunta ako sa part ng building kung saan isang direksyon na lang ang daan at may isang lalaki pa na nakatalikod ang nakaharang. I have no choice but to make him sleep than to turn back because of the possibility that he might see me. Nang pupokpukin ko na siya ng wooden stick na hawak ko ay nagulat ako nang bigla siyang humarap at kinuha ang dalawa kong kamay. Does he know that I'm at his back? But how?

Nahuli ako ng lalaki na iyon at dinala sa lugar kung saan nakita ko si Joyce na nakaupo sa isang silya at nakasuot ng white fitted dress? Nakatali siya sa may silya at nang makita ako ay parang gusto niya sumigaw pero may tela sa bibig niya.
Tinali rin nila ako katulad ni Joyce pagkatapos ay iniwan na kaming dalawa rito.

Sana lang ay dumating sila agad dahil ayokong magtagal dito at baka kung ano ang gawin nila sa amin. Tinignan at inobserbahan ko muna si Joyce. Naluluha na siya at natatakot ng sobra pero napansin ko lang na wala siyang kahit anong galos at ang ayos ng buhok niya. Ang ibig kong sabihin ay inaasahan ko na kapag makikita ko siya ay magulo ang kaniyang itsura at pananamit pero maayos siyang tignan maliban na lang sa katotohanan na nakatali siya at may tapal sa bibig.

Alam ko na natatakot siya kaya naman kailangan ko magpakatatag dahil ako at ang club ang dapat na magligtas sa kaniya. Kaya naman Loki, Al, and Jamie please hurry.

Biglang pumasok ang mga lalaki kanina at kinuha nila si Joyce. Gusto kong sumigaw pero wala rin akong magagawa. Kinakabahan na ako ngayon sa maaaring mangyari nang biglang bumukas ang pinto at iniluwa nito si Al. Al! Salamat at dumating ka. Nagawa niyang kunin si Joyce sa mga lalaki pero habang nakikipaglaban ay may tatlong lalaki ang kumuha sa kaniya. Hinawakan nila si Al ng mahigpit kung saan hindi ito makakawala.

Al shouted my name at patuloy na nagpupumiglas sa mga lalaking nakahawak sa kaniya. Nanginginig na ang mga tuhod ko at gusto ko nang umiyak pero tinatak ko sa isipan ko na magiging matatag ako. Bigla namang pumasok ang ibang lalaki na bitbit si Loki at si Jamie. What? Pati sila ay nahuli rin? Jamie looks like she's about to cry like me but she's holding it. While Loki still wears his infamous poker face.

Kahit na natatakot na ako sa mga nangyayari ay may saya akong naramdaman na sa wakas ay nandito na ulit sila. Mas tumaas ang level ng pag-asa ko na makakaligtas kaming lahat sa kung sino man ang nagpasagawa nito. There's still a chance that we will be complete in this Christmas.

Biglang nagsalita ang isa sa kanila, ang nagsisilbing leader nila at mukhang kausap nito ang kanilang boss sa cellphone.

"Dadalhin na po namin sila?"

"Sige po Sir. Aalis na po kami."
sabi nito sa kausap at saka inutusan ang mga kasama niya na dalhin na nga kami.

Sinakay nila kami sa dalawang van, isang itim at isang puti. Ang kasama ko rito sa van ay si Joyce at si Al na parehong nakatali at may tapal sa bibig. Hindi kami makapagsalita kaya tahimik lamang ang aming biyahe. Habang umaandar ang sasakyan ay nilagyan nila kaming tatlo ng blind fold upang hindi yata namin makita ang lugar na pagdadalhan nila sa amin.

Tumigil na ang sasakyan at binaba na kami ng isa-isa. Mabagal lamang kami naglakad hanggang sa tumigil ang naggagabay sa akin. I heard the creaking of a door and I can feel that they're leading me inside a cold room. Tinanggal nila ang blindfold at tapal sa bibig ko at saka sila umalis.

Madilim sa loob ng kwartong kinaroroonan ko kaya buti na lang wala ng tapal sa bibig ko para makapagsalita na ako.

"Alistair? Joyce? Loki? Jamie? Are you here?" I ask loudly with my voice shaking.

"It's only me, Loki." Loki said with his cold voice.

"Loki? Where are they?"

"I guess they're already in the safe place."

"Then where are we?"

"Obviously we're in a cold and dark room."

He's really Loki.

"How can we get out of here?" I ask him as I feel his skin beside me.

"Turn around. I will remove your tie."

I obey him and I can feel that he's releasing me from being tied.

"Now I want you to stay here. Wait for 10 minutes before you go out. Got it?"

"What? Saan ka pupunta? Don't leave me alone here."

"Now Lori. I want you to trust me." He said and get out of the room.

'I want you to trust me.' Very familiar and if I'm correct, that line was also in the letter left by Dans for Joyce.

Again, they leave me alone and dumbfounded. I guess I'll just trust Loki and the others.

After 10 minutes of waiting, I decided to go out of the room and search for them. Napansin ko na puro puti ang nilalakaran ko at may nakita pa akong pinto na may nakasulat na dressing room. Bakit may dressing room dito? Naglakad pa ako hanggang sa may nakita akong pinto na may nakasulat na exit.

Pagkalabas ko ay nagulat ako dahil madilim na pala at ang mas nakapanggugulat ay nasa Amusement Park ako. I heard a loud sound of some music instrument and also the shrieking of the people. Hinanap ko ang lugar na pinanggalingan ng ingay at nagulat ako na galing ito sa isang concert. A Christmas Special Concert.

I was so shocked and then I realized that Leona told me that the said concert will be helding at the Amusement Park. Nakipagsiksikan ako sa mga tao makapunta lang sa harap and to my surprise Loki and the others are there. Right under the stage where Leona, Dans, and the others are performing.

"What is the meaning of this?" I asked them full of confusion.

"Shh Lori, we'll explain it to you later. Let's watch the exciting part." Jamie told me with a big smile in her face.

I went beside Al and about to ask him but even him is also intently watching the concert. Okay, I guess I'll just shut up for now 'cause even Loki doesn't mind my question.

"Okay guys! Let's now hear a song from our very own Joyce Bernardo." Leona said out loud.

Joyce? Joyce is performing?
Lumabas si Joyce at naglakad sa stage. Napansin ko na suot niya ang white fitted dress kanina na suot niya at iba na rin ang make up at hairdo niya ngayon. Bago kumanta ay nagsalita muna si Joyce ng kaniyang short message and I didn't expect her message.

"Ladies and gentlemen, students from the Clark High School who went here,I want to dedicate this song to the QED Club and I hope they enjoy our special invitation for them earlier. So here it is." And she started singing.

A special invitation for us? All throughout the song ay naguguluhan ang utak ko kakaisip ng mga sinabi niya. Lahat ng mga nangyari ngayon are making me so confuse.

Pagkatapos ng kanta ni Joyce ay biglang may nagsalita na lalaki.

"Joyce, I want to thank you for coming in my life. You're everything in me. Thank you for trusting me. Now I want to ask you, Can you trust me forever that I will take care of you for the whole life? Will you marry me?" Dans asked Joyce while he's kneeling in front of her.

I heard the sound of excitement from everyone here including Jamie whose teary eyed from what she saw. While Al was just smiling and Loki was wearing his bored face as usual.

"Yes Dans. I entrust you my whole life. I'll marry you." And everyone shout their happiness for the both.

At exactly 12, fireworks show started and everybody said 'Merry Christmas!' Of course except from Loki.

Pagkatapos ng fireworks show ay ipinaliwanag na nilang lahat sa akin ang mga pangyayari. Everything was an act just to give us a special invitation. Grabe naman ang invitation nila, kailangan talagang may i-solve? Sabi naman nila Leona na sinadya nila 'yon dahil QED Club nga kami kaya naisip nila dapat mayroong case para may thrill. Si Loki and Jamie naman ay nalaman ang tungkol dito kaagad dahil sa mga observations ni Loki sa case. He's a bit suspicious about this kaya nalaman niya rin agad. No need for long explanation, he's Loki after all. Dahil kasama no'n ni Loki si Jamie, siyempre nalaman niya rin kaagad. Binida pa ni Jamie na tumulong siya sa pagset-up ng stage. Nalaman naman ni Al ito noong dinala na kami sa magkahiwalay na kwarto. 'Yung time na kasama ko sa madilim na kwarto si Loki ay ini-explain na pala nila ang lahat kay Al. Ako lang ang 'di talaga sinabihan because Loki take the opportunity to test my skill in solving cases. Kaya sa huli, ako ang walang idea sa mga pangyayari at gulat na gulat.

"Merry Christmas everyone!" Jamie said in a happy tone to us.

"Merry Christmas also." I greeted them.

"Merry Christmas to the four of us." Al also greeted and then we're waiting for Loki to also greet us. But he didn't say anything so the two turn their backs to everyone greeting each other a Merry Christmas.

"Yeah, Merry Christmas." I heard Loki whispered to himself and when I look at him, he's looking at the sky.

I just smiled because at the end, we came to celebrate Christmas happily.
