Epilogue - Chicago's Third Stanley Cup: 2015

Jonathan Toews slipped his hand into Patrick Kane's and then smiled at each other, as the world swirled around them, eventually morphing into the Chicago locker room. They were suddenly hit with the events of the day.

They were about to have practice and had just arrived from their home. They'd been a little shocked when they heard about Chris Pronger's blindness and how he was forced to retire. He'd thrown a temper tantrum and was beyond furious, but he was soon taken under the wing of Rinaldo, who was condemned by the NHL for his bastardry. Meanwhile, Kessel and Therrien were cursed to play and coach for sucky teams: the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Montreal Canadiens. Burish disappeared into the city of San Jose and everything was back to being normal and how it should be. The right timeline.

Jonathan touched Patrick's nose with his index finger, making him chuckle at the touch. That's when Patrick Sharp raced into the room.

"Hey, when you two are done sharing a moment, the boys and I are already on the ice waiting. Remember that we were all going to meet up and hold a separate practice before, because of the playoffs."

"Right, right. Sorry. We'll be out there in a sec, Sharpie. Get back and let the others know," Jonathan said, with dip of his head.

He turned and grabbed his helmet off the shelf. Patrick did the same thing. They put the helmets on, finding that they were already dressed in their practice uniform as Patrick Sharp shrugged and left them alone once more. Jonathan turned to Patrick and helped situate the helmet on his head. Then they both shared a kiss, grabbed their gloves and sticks and walked out of the room.

"It's good to be a Blackhawk, eh Kaner?!"

"Yeah Jonny, let's go get that Cup!" Patrick exclaimed.

"I couldn't agree more! And if we end up winning it, it'll be our third Cup!!" Jonathan stated.

They emerged from the tunnel and launched onto the ice. Everyone was there to greet them. They felt like celebrities or a stageplay cast. Brandon Saad, Ben Smith, Patrick Sharp, Andrew Shaw, everyone was there just as it should be and they all smiled at the two.

"Alright boys, let's get to work, we got one goal, right?" Jonathan shouted out.

"To win the cup!" everyone yelled back.

They warmed up, taking laps around the ice and then went into passing and shooting drills. Then Coach Quenneville appeared and ran them through a tough practice. Jonathan winked at Patrick, but kept his distance, playing his leadership role. He couldn't get too wrapped up by the blond. He knew he had a team to lead.

Later that night, the Blackhawks went into Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final alive with energy and poise. They had every reason to be confident and cocky, they were lead by two of the NHL's most feared offensive players: Jonathan Bryan Toews and Patrick Timothy Kane Jr.

And it would take a miracle from the Eastern Conference Champions, the New York Islanders to prevent the Blackhawks from taking their third title. But unfortunately, John Tavares' team wasn't lucky enough. Jonathan Toews scored the game-winning goal in Overtime, from a clear pass from Patrick Kane and the Hawks sealed the win and the Cup.

As the Hawks skated around the arena happy about the win, Patrick and Jonathan remained close together. They both noticed John nod and clap for them, even...smiling. Then he raised his stick up and exited the ice with his teammates to cheers from the United Center's crowd.

The Chicago Blackhawks had just won the Stanley Cup, for the third time in six years! (And all with the pairing everyone knew only as "Kazer")
