third person's POV

Skylar and Lita are walking together to the entrance exam since Skylar has no Idea where to find it and since he never went to it before he's kind of nervous despite Lita be a year older than him and she's going to be a second year

"Thanks for walking me to the school, Lita and sorry that you have to be late for class because of me" the gray hair male says sadly

"Nah, don't worry too much about it, Sky. I'm just doing you a favor. Plus, you'll love the duel academy, and do not worry about the transcription I already give it to the school yesterday" Lita tells him

Skylar sighs with relief "that explains why I couldn't find it last night" Skylar pouts "you could have told me"

Lita sweat drops "yeah I should have, sorry" Lita says while rubbing the back of her head

The two adoptive siblings look front and see the entrance of the academy

"Wow this place is big" Skylar says before looking at Lita who seems like she's about to burst into laughter "Lita...don't" Skylar warns

"that's was she said" Lita laughs making Skylar sigh in annoyance

"Miss Kino! Late for class again?" a guard says

Lita laughs nervously and says "yeah, I just have to come picking my brother and taking him here for the exam"

The Guard nod and say "alright then right this way, young man. You know the way Kino" with that

"Is not like my first time be in this school, good luck sky break a leg but not literally" Lita says cheering her brother making Skylar laugh

Once he arrives, he sees some other entrees with sitting on the stands and he sees a boy with light blue hair and decides to walk towards him and place a hand on his shoulder "uhm, excuse me don't mean to scare you or anything, but is this the where the applicants are located to wait their turn?"

The blue boy looks at Skylar and sees that the shorter guy's wearing glasses as the blue hair guy nods and response "yeah, is here, are you an applicant?"

Skylar nods "yeah, just arrived here"

"Applicant, Skylar Kazami please come fort to the field" a voice interrupted the short conversation

"That's me, wish me luck" Skylar says before walking down to the arena

'Kazami? Why does that name sound...familiar?' the light blue-haired guy thinks

Skylar arrives and he sees a man wearing some sort of gown he believes he's one of the staff

"Welcome, I believe you know why you're here" the Man ask the gray-hair teen who nods "then, you better give me all you got because I'm not going easy on you"

"Lita Kino, warned me about you guys going all out so don't worry too much about me" Skylar puts on his duel disk and says "I'm not planning on backing down"

"Lita Kino, huh? You must be the famous Skylar Kazami the prodigy of the sky" The man state as Skylar cringes at the title Lita calls him

"of all names, Lita?" Skylar mutters as he sees Lita waving at him from the stands, he sweat drops

From the stand one student says "prodigy of the sky? I heard rumors about him that he defeated an opponent with a one kill turn"

A male with black hair looks at Skylar with curiosity 'hm...I wonder how good you are?'

Both Skylar and the staff member activate their duel disk before they shout "Let's duel!"

Staff member: 4000
Skylar: 4000

-start of duel-

"You take the first move, Kid" the staff member says to Skylar 'if he's that strong to make a one kill turn it means I'll be doomed if I take the first move' he thinks as he looks at Skylar who draw his sixth card and looks at all his cards

"Alright then, if you insist. I'll start with summoning Ventus El Condor in attack mode!" Skylar states

[Atk: 1300 / Def: 0]

"Next I activate the field spell Ventus reactor!" Skylar says as he places a card on his duel disk and the room surrounded by light green gush of wind surprising the staff and some other that are in the stands "this is where the real fun begins because when Ventus reactor is activated, every Ventus monster that is on the field receives 600 attack points [Atk: 1900] and I'll end my turn with a face down, your move" Skylar finishes

From the stand the blue hair guy named Syrus looks at Skylar in amaze as a guy with brown hair says "woah from 1300 points to 1900 due to the field spell this is really amazing! When it comes to great offence" he looks at Skylar's monster

Syrus nods "yeah, that's Skylar Kazami he's known as the Prodigy of the sky due to his wind-based deck"

"Prodigy!? Which means he has to be strong!" The brunette male states

The staff says "I'm impressed that you started strong but don't you think you can beat me with that?" he draws a card "I summon Big Shield Gardna in Defense mode!

[Atk: 100 / Def: 2600]

I end my turn! You think El Condor can take down this monster!?" the Staff says

Skylar says shaking his head "no, is impossible for him to defeat your monster even with his extra 600 attack points" the staff smirk but soon it fades as Skylar continues "by himself!" he draws a card and smirks which everyone from the stand looks confused as Skylar says "I summon! Ventus Monarus in attack mode!

[Atk: 1700 / Def: 1000]

Due to Ventus reactor Monarus gets 600 attack points [Atk: 2300]" Skylar says

"Still, you still don't have enough attack points to destroy my monster" the staff informs Skylar

"Not till I activate her special abilities. Her first ability is that Monarus gains 700 extra attack points if there's another Ventus Monster on the field which there is! [Atk: 3000] And her second ability, she can change your monster's defense mode to attack mode and it loses 600 attack points!" Skylar explains

[Big Shield Gardna Atk: 0]

"You can't" the Staff member exclaims in shock

"Watch us! Now El condor Attack Big Shield Gardna!"

El Condor's eyes light up and fires beam from its eye and destroy Big Shield Gardna causing the staff losing 1900 life points

Staff Member life points: 4000 – 2100

"Monarus Finish him off! Ventus Fairy wind!" Skylar shouts

Monarus releases a big gush of green wind pushing the staff back a bit as he loses his remaining life points

Staff Member life points: 2100 – 0

-End of duel-

"w-wow...w-welcome to the duel academy" the staff Member stutters

Skylar bows "thank you so much, and I hope I didn't scare you or anything"

The member bluffs and coughs "m-me scared? R-Ridiculous" the staff member stutters aagain

Skylar sighs with relief "that's a relief, for sure every opponent I faced ended up avoiding me"

Skylar bows and leaves the stadium as he hears his sister cheering "Yeah that's my bro! I know you could do it!" Skylar blushes embarrassedly and walks out with a red face

"That...was... Awesome!" Jaden exclaims "did you see that it only ended with three turns, he really is a strong duelist, I'm sure that I'll get to challenge him one time" he adds

From the other side of the stands 'so this is your power Skylar, I'll give it to you. You're strong, but are you stronger than me?' Chazz thinks as he sees the blushing gray hair male walking out the arena

Some males look at Skylar with the same thought 'Cute-wait what?'

Right now, Skylar's in a helicopter with the rest of the applicants that also got in which he believes they are going to be his future classmates he looks out the window and pull out one card and it shows a pink bird on it

'This is a new start don't you think, Piyomon?' Skylar wonders

He hears the Pilot saying from his radio "Attention new duel academy students if you look outside your window you see your new home away from home." Almost every applicant looks out the window and they seem amaze at the new island as Skylar and Jaden didn't look out the window because Skylar already saw it but Jaden just...sleeps "Now, now. I know you're excited but don't shout. Now fasten your seatbelts and set your seat up to the right position. We're going to land, and next stop the academy Island"

'What challenges will come across my path?' Skylar Wonders he look out the window watching the clouds 'Mom...Dad. I hope you guys are proud of me'

-time skip-

Skylar was handed a weird red uniform and told that he has to wear it which Skylar nods bow and thanks the person so he went to change his clothes to the red clothes that they gave him and once Skylar puts it on, he looks at himself at the mirror and for him he looks good in red

"Wow... I like this" Skylar giggles and turn and looks at the back side and smiles not noticing a certain brunette applicant staring at him

"Jaden you're staring" Syrus says to his new friend Jaden who seems to be awestruck by the gray-hair male

"Oh, my bad" Jaden laughs nervously before he looks at Skylar again as the mentioned walks out of the changing room and goes to the orientation

When they arrived to orientation, they're standing facing a big screen when a bald man pops out and greets the new student with a smile

"Hello and welcome my new students. I'm Chancellor Sheppard, the head master here. And you are the best and brilliant young in the world. Now please, get yourself settled at your assigned dorms I think you'll find quite comfortable depending on how you ranked of course" he chuckles and the screen turns off

Skylar walk out as he knew which dorm, he's in so he walks straight to the Sifer red dorms which it isn't fancy as the other two dorm but for sky he really doesn't care about that so he walks to a door and open it and looks around and check if there's anyone

"Hello? Anyone home?" he hears silence he sees a one bed which Sylar finds it weird since usually the dorm has bunk beds but I guess he's having a room of his own he walks in and closes the door behind him and walks towards the window curtain and opens them and sees the view of the ocean "this is amazing" Skylar smiles more and sits on a rolling chair and looks up at the clouds like he always does and giggles

Skylar then hear a door knocking he get up from the chair and opens the door and see two taller young man wearing blue Uniform his smiles changed to a disgusted look "Sorry, I think you guys went to the wrong dorm" Skylar was about to close the door one of the two male stops the door

"We came here for you" one of the guys says

Skylar annoyingly sighs and looks at them and crosses his arms "Go on" he says

The other guy wearing glasses "Chazz Princeton wants to challenge you to a duel"

Skylar scoffs "Well, tell this whoever the fuck Chazz Princeton is, do not waste his time on someone who's not in his own color brand" he angrily slams the door and locks it hoping for the two guys leave

'Lita warned me about the blue guys, they go around the school like they own the place, pathetic. I don't hate the people themselves they did nothing wrong with me, but with Lita they did, Lita was the only girl wearing a yellow uniform and she gets bullied for that but she's still strong, I admire her so much that she doesn't deserve to be treated like that, but what's worse the other girls made fun of her for be gay, that's really fucked up. One thing I can't tolerate are bullies but homophobes are worse than bullies. But despite the bullying that she went through she still has a big smile on her face' Skylar thinks as he sits back on the rolling chair and looks back at the sky trying to distract himself and pulls out his Piyomon card and ask himself "Am I really going to be okay here, Piyomon?" He looks at the card before he hears a "Piyo" echoing in his head ad he hums with worry
