Hey y'all

So I've been really busy lately with high school and band

So my drabbles and Ninjago fanfiction are put off on a hiatus, if you haven't noticed

Things have been tough, going up and down like a roller coaster. I'm still fine

It's mostly marching band taking up my free time

With the practices and competitions up and taking up all of my saturdays and that I need to catch up on sundays, I barely have time to write a lot

I'll be writing as much as I can, and y'all have to wait for this to be over until like late November through December, depending how the football tournament goes

OKAY SO ABOUT MY BAND LIFE

on September 30, my band went to the BOA (Bands of America) DFW Regionals Competiton at the Dragon Stadium in Southlake

We performed our prelims at like 1:15 and got second in our 6A class(bands go into different classes depending how many people are in band), advancing to finals

Flower Mound, basically our main rival, got first. No surprise there

Then at finals, performing right before flower mound, we did much better than pre lims

And so whenever they were announcing the winners, we got called Outstanding Music, Outstanding Visual, and tied Outstanding General Effect with Flower Mound

The three main groups determine your final score, which is based off of numbers. Flower Mound got all three of those titles in prelims

BUT WE GOT FIRST WITH 86.95 WHILE FLOWER MOUND GOT 86.45

DO YOU KNOW HOW HAPPY WE WERE

We had to stand there like fucking statues in the ceremony and try not to do anything.

Whenever the announcer told us to break, meaning everyone break free of your forms and congratulate others, we all screamed and hugged each other

I EVEN ALMOST CRIED

It was great congratulating others for getting whatever place and telling others their show was good too!

A CONGA LINE EVEN FORMED WITH ALL OF THE OTHER BANDS AND COLOR GUARD

Seriously it was great

Tomorrow I have a Plano invitational competition so wish us luck!

If y'all want to attempt to find me, near the end of the jazz ballad or the slow part of our show where there are curves, look for me with the clarinet near the saxophones and next to a really tall guy also playing the clarinet

Edit: too lazy to rewrite and I'm done with Plano competition

So today I went to the Plano invitational competition

We got first in prelims but second in finals

I was slightly disappointed but I'm still proud of what my band could do

Also someone got injured and 911 was called

Don't worry that man is okay

I would write more about my high school life and shit going on but it's almost 12 in the morning rn and I got some Whataburger food to eat
