Ninjago fanfic prologue
Why the prologue?
Apparently, I keep rewriting the synopsis and title until I got frustrated and deleted everything on it.
I'll write a new synopsis while I keep looking through the future chapters I'll be writing in my mind to help me in writing a better synopsis and title.
Anyways, here's the prologue:
-
She was afraid.
She couldn't do anything.
She held him in her arms as her mom, her father, and another man argued. She leaned in from the wall to take a good look of the chaos in the room. All she could hear are the screaming and yelling that rung madly in her little ears. At the moment she heard dishes crash, she moved away an inch. She saw her father rip something, but she didn't want to see what. She turned away right before she could see but made sure he was safe and still asleep. She heard her mother and the strange man gasp in surprise. She also heard other noises, but she could understand what each of the adults were saying.
She was shaking. She was terrified to go into the living room just to say, "Mommy? Daddy?" She knew that she would get into the mess, and she did not want to. She couldn't function. The halls were dark, her room was dark, all of the house was dark except the living room. The rain and lightning made it worse. She was awoken by the screaming, but luckily she caught him next to her and scooped him into her arms before sneaking towards the living room.
She looked at the boy in her arms. He was only just a few months old in a deep sleep, and she was just a three year old, scared to death. She wished that she didn't suffer through this right now. She wished she was asleep. Instead, she was standing against the walls with him. She was lucky that she knew how to hold a baby, thanks to her mom. However, she had recently met him today, and her mom refused to give her his name.
She looked at him and awed at his beauty. Even in dark, the infant looked absolutely adorable and beautiful. His soft hair and his baby hands are simply to cute for her to handle. She wished that she was a little baby again, not to worry about anything until later. She used his looks to distract her from the argument going on, but a loud slap and a crash of a few dishes simultaneously happened. That caused the baby to shake from his dreams and be awaken of the sound. Both her and the little infant boy heard more crashing and thrashing—probably destroying the living room—and pushed both of them to their limits. She started to whimper with tears escaping her eyes, and he started to bawl loudly. She couldn't keep it in anymore.
All three voices die down to listen at the crying. She froze up after realizing what happened. She stepped into the entrance of the living room, whereas the light was blinding her eyes at the moment. Getting her eyes to adjust, she could she her father grasping onto her mother's and the man's neck. She notices the man's struggle to get out of her father's grasp, along with her mother as well. Her eyes locked into her father's eyes, and she took one good look of his furious face. She heard his heavy breathing from where she is. She knew that it was dangerous to stay in her place.
"What's going on?" she blurted out, innocence showing.
Her mother, noticing her daughter is in trouble, lifted her hand up with the leftover strength she had and pointed to the door behind her. When she spoke, it was rasp and out of breath. "Go...get out...ta..."
The man added something to her incomplete sentence. "Take him...get out of...here..."
She understood that her mother wanted to get the baby out of the house, but the man, too? Did something happen between the two? Was there some type of secret that didn't include her father? Is that why her dad was angry at the both of them? Either way, she knew the look of her father's deadly eyes towards the little baby boy only meant one thing.
Run.
She quickly turned around and bolted for the front door. She used her free hand to unlock it and open it. Behind her, her father threw her mother and the man down like rag dolls and raced after his daughter.
The three year old sprinted out of the door and ran as fast as she can. The rain gave her the worst sight, and the thunder was scaring her badly. As much as she wanted to stop and rest, she knew her mother and that man gave her a task. Although she didn't trust the man when he had first approached to her, she knew that if her mother trusted him, she would as well.
She knew her father was dangerous. His anger was getting worse ever since her mother started to act weird. She could hear her father screeching at her to stop, but she was too scared to even take a break for a breath.
She didn't looked back, and everything turned into a blur.

Honestly I think it'll be better than the TMNT one I attempted to write ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
