I've been just falling back into the Ninjago he—fandom again, and after watching season seven, id like to point out the ninjas' backstories. All of them are unique.

Lloyd started off with his family until his mom sent him to Durley's. He spent his childhood life there without his parents, trying to be like his evil father. The ninja laughed at him at his attempt to be evil, which led Lloyd to awaken to Serpentine. Aware of mistakes, he was held in captivity until Garmadon and the ninja rescued him. When the other ninja turned into children, he helped them turn back into adults—even if it meant giving up he rest of his childhood. He grew up more mature, responsible—hot, as well—and caring.

Zane was rather unique. Created by Dr. Julien, he spent his days with Julien until he almost passed away. When his memory was wiped by Dr. Julien, he woke up in the place without any reconciliation of anything but his name. He didn't know he was a robot until whenever he came back to his home. Finding the blueprints of himself, he gave himself some time to accept his past as a robot. That lead him to unlock his true potential. About the few episodes later, he and the other ninja found a tower alone in the sea. That's where Zane found his father.

Kai and Nya's past is more explainable. Kai was a little child—wait, how old was Kai when he was ABLE TO HOLD NYA WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS!?—when Nya was born. One day, "Dr. Saunders" was talking with Kai's parents until he backstabbed them and forced them to forge more Vermillion armor. They didn't want to, but Krux blackmailed them by hurting Kai and Nya, who was just playing on the ground. Lots of years later, Kai found his father's symbol on the Vermilion armor, which gave him determination to find them and wanted to kill them because he believed they were traitors at first. When Kai's parents told them the truth, he felt sorry for attempted to destroy them and all of them, including Nya, had a small family reunion.

Cole still has some holes of his past. We don't know who is his mother, but his father still lives on. His father wanted Cole to be a dancer or singer of some sort, but Cole wanted to be a ninja. Cole's father later allowed him to, but is later used to his son as Ninjago's heros.

Jay's biological parents turned out to be Cliff Gordon, the actor of Fritz Donnegan, and the Master of Lightning. His biological parents' separation is unknown, and so is reason why Jay was left in the care of Ed and Edna. He was raised by Ed and Edna as his adoptive parents.

All of their pasts are unique and very cool. I really want to see Jay's mom and Cole's mom one day.
