Finding love is a book based on arranged marriage romance

Today I will not be getting my precious sleep.

Now I have to wait till he sleeps so that I can get out of my room to drink some water.

Eating French fries made me thirsty.

So I waited

I ate all the fries not leaving a single drop of sauce.

Again waited.

I stood up carefully so as not to make any sound that can make him suspect something. I went and laid down on my bed and closed my eyes.

Waiting.

After a long time of waiting and waiting and waiting. I got up from my bed and slowly and carefully opened my door and peeped outside.

Coast seems clear.

I slowly went towards Alex's room.  The door was partly open. I looked inside. He was laying on his bed with his eyes closed.

I guess he is sleeping.

I slowly made my way down the stairs. This may be the first time I am walking this carefully down the stairs. As if I am careful not to give any pain to the stairs.

Sure I had sneaked out of my room at night to the kitchen to grab a midnight snack. But even then, I was not this careful.

I reached the end of the stairs and walked quietly towards the kitchen.

I guess I need not be this careful. I grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and gulped it down.

The cold water refreshed me.

After quickly drinking some water, I went to my room and sat down browsing the internet.

Time passed quickly. I checked the time on my watch. It's the time when I reach back home. Now I need to pretend like I came home now.

But first I have to check if Alex is still asleep.

I went to his room and checked. He is still asleep.

Thank God!, Now I don't need to act like coming back from school.

The rest of the day went by as I chatted with Tess and Ella and asked them how their day was.

They told me that they reached school just before the first period ended. The rest of the day went normally and peacefully as they weren't being annoyed by me. I ignored that.

I told them how Alex met with some guy and how I met James.

"So are you happy now? You skipped shopping and spied on your brother but didn't find anything useful", Ella asked.

Should I tell them about the gun?

No

They will think I am exaggerating.

"Yeah, Whatever", I said and ended the call.

Soon Mom and Dad came home. 

After dinner, I went back to my room to prepare to follow Alex.

Nothing special tho.

My phone, a back tank top and pants. I wanted to put on a spy costume as if I had one.

But even if I had one then it would have been too much.

After all, what will he be doing?? He wouldn't be killing anyone with that. I know that... Or do I?

I brushed that thought away. It's just me dreaming of finding him killing somebody and me catching him red-handed and being a hero or something.

Stupid thought!

In reality, I would never wish it would happen. He is my brother after all. He shouldn't and won't do it.

He might be going to prank someone. I will get that video on my phone and show it to Mom and Dad. I smiled mischievously.

He will get into trouble.

As it became midnight, I heard Alex telling someone that he is coming.

I slowly peeped through my door and saw that he climbing down the stairs.

Once he reached the door, I crawled to the stairs. Alex opened the door, stepped out and quietly closed it. I quickly without making any noise climbed down the stairs and went towards the door and slowly opened it and looked outside. He was standing in front of the house with a guy.

I hadn't thought of one thing while I planned to follow him.

How will I follow him?

I mean if he gets on his bike and rode away, How am I supposed to follow him?.

I mentally slap myself. I am such a fool.

I guess the mission is aborted.

I cursed myself and was closing the door when I saw that they were walking towards the right.

I guess the mission is still on.

I quickly sneaked out and closed the door behind quietly. I felt like in the movies.

They were walking in the direction of the park.

What's up with the park.

I walked behind them. Thankfully they didn't suspect anyone following them. Foolish of then. But good for me.

I kept a safe distance between me and them so that I could hide quickly if they happen to see me.

After walking for a few mins they reached the Park.

I quickly hid behind the nearest tree. They turned to look at each other and said something to each other.  

Then the guy pulled out a gun.

This is getting scary.

Suddenly I noticed a car cane stopped in front of them. Opened by a guy who pulled out a man with him and handed over the man to Alex. Alex pulled his hair and all of them went inside the Park. Probably to the building.

Something inside said that this looks dangerous and I should head back. Another part of me wanted to know what Alex was doing and who was that guy?

I had a bad feeling about all of this but I brushed it off and went behind them when all of them went inside the park.

I was right.

They were all going to the secret building there.

When they reached the building, instead of entering they stood in front of it and Alex pushed the man to the ground and pointed a gun at him.

Oh my god!

The guy who came with Alex spoke

"You can die peacefully or will be tortured to death. You can choose. If you tell us what we want to know, you die peacefully or else you know what will happen right? If I were you I would have told everything right now".

Wow! This seems to be something pretty dangerous.

Should I turn back and sneak out slowly or stay?

I was scared to death. The only relief was that Alex was there so I shouldn't be afraid right? I mean he is not going kill that man?

But I knew he would be killing or else why would he point a gun at a man and why was that guy saying stuff like that.

If I go now they see me.

What will I do?

Oh God please help me.

So things are getting darker.
