here is the difference between sherlock and john. Okay.

John had a horrible childhood, and so did Sherlock, so in that sense they're the same.

What makes them different is their reactions to it. John turns all that negativity into positivity and tries to be a better person because his family is horrible. He recoils from drugs and alcohol because he knows what it does to people.

What Sherlock does is he literally builds a wall and burns everything around him. Like let's be real here guys

As much as sherlock and john are like the best like Sherlock was a really manipulaive bf and it wasn't his fault he was that way but nevertheless that shit shouldn't be on John to fix

Maybe Mary isn't the penultimate but she's better than sherlock who was like ruining john's fucking life more than it was already ruined
