Tw: Transphobia (the disrespectful kind)

"Bye Papa! See you when we get back!" Iruka gave her papa one last hug before heading out the door.

They were finally off to training camp. Everyone would be waiting at UA so as Shouta headed to the station Iruka headed to the playground to wait for her friends before heading to the station themselves.

There was a wonder as to where their training camp would be. Not even Iruka had known. Shouta and Hizashi had explained that it was obligatory to have the site a secret. Even when the trio arrived at school chatter about where they would be going hadn't stopped. But excitement about the camp itself did spread faster as more people started to arrive.

An entire week of training with your peers was definitely worth the excitement. Even 1-B were excited (Monoma was being his egotistical self but when was he not). Eventually, it was time to board the busses.

Even with his efforts, Tenya couldn't get everyone in line to board the bus in a more fashioned manner. On the bus, Iruka sat next to Ochaco in the front row of the bus while Izuku sat next to Tenya. Katsuki was somewhere in the back with Eijirou.

At one point Shouta tried to tell them about camp but his words were drowned out by the non-stop chatter of his class. Some people like Kyoka and Koji were happily listening to music. Others like the Bakusquad were causing chaos in the back one way or another. Iruka and Shoto had opted to stare out the window to enjoy the change of scenery.

As the buildings changed into miles of trees, the bus finally stopped.  It seemed they had finally arrived at their first pit stop. Slowly everyone walked out to stretch their legs. Iruka wondered where they were. She didn't have long to think though because a car pulled up behind the bus and none other than the Wild Wild Pussycats slipped out.

There were words of astonishment and Izuku and Iruka contained their urge to rush over to them all and ask a bajillion questions. Although they didn't need it Shouta introduced them all. Apparently, they would be helping them during camp.

"We own this entire stretch of land and the camp you'll be staying is over there, at the base of the mountain." Iruka didn't like that, didn't like that at all.

Ochaco asked why they were so far away but it didn't take a genius to figure that out.

"EVERYONE BACK TO THE BUS!" Iruka darted for the bus with her classmates but unfortunately, the ground had other plans.

They were flung off the side of the cliff. Iruka changed her hands and feet and grabbed as many people as she could. She placed them onto the ground before making sure everyone was safe and looked up to where the pros were.

"You could've injured someone!"

"If you can't handle a landslide you won't be much help in natural disasters," Shouta spoke, monotone as ever.

"He's right. Now it's 9 am, if you're quick you'll get there by noon." Mandalay explained.

"And only good kittens get lunch. Oh and this land is all ours so feel free to use your quirks." Pixie-Bob added.

Everyone groaned as Izuku explained there could be things in the forest they would have to fight, The ground started to rumble as some kind of earth monster started to rush towards them. Izuku, Eijirou and Shouto immediately started to fight and took down the thing. Iruka was struck with the best bad idea she had ever had.

"Everyone get on and cover me if anything attacks." She told her classmates as she changed into an Argentavis*.

As Iruka transformed she made sure not to trample any of her classmates. They looked up at her in awe. She was a little surprised too. She had started practising changing into more prehistoric creatures due to an offhand comment Denki had made. Once they had all scrambled onto Iruka's back, she took to the skies making sure no one fell off (maybe Mineta would've been an ok sacrifice)

"This is incredible Iruka!" Ochaco exclaimed.

"It's so manly." Iruka let out happy bird sounds. She loved flying and she was glad her classmates enjoyed it too.

Since none of the earth monsters could catch them from so high up everyone relaxed on Iruka's back as she glided through the air, flapping her wings every once in a while.

They were only halfway to the camp when Iruka felt a familiar sharp pain. Maybe trying to change into a prehistoric animal for the first time to let people ride wasn't a good idea. It's not like she wasn't used to the pain of headaches, she just didn't realise the older the animal the more painful it would be. She dropped for a second when a particularly painful one made itself known. It wasn't a lot though unfortunately, it was enough for her classmates to notice.

"Iruka are you ok? Kero," Tsuyu asked. Everyone was worried she might fall out of the sky if her headache was bad enough.

Iruka gave a small nod before continuing on. Her headache just kept getting worse and worse causing her friends to worry.

"Iru we can walk to the lodge from here come on let us down," Izuku begged his friend. Iruka shook her head. She was in full view of the lodge now, she could see her dad and the other pros, no point in stopping now.

Iruka landed right in front of the lodge and allowed her friends to get down before de transforming. Iruka could feel her head splitting open and was just about ready to keel over.

"You went through that much faster than we did," Mandalay commented smiling widely.

"Well it was Iruka who did all the work," Ochaco said. Everyone felt a tinge of guilt run through them as they saw the state Iruka was in.

"That's exactly why after lunch everyone except Ito will be training," Shouta said, masking his worry with the strict teacher facade.

"What no!" Iruka tried to protess.

"You can't even stand Ito, let alone train."

"Can too," Iruka straightened herself but wobbled and almost fell trying to catch herself on nothing. Luckily Katsuki caught her before the ground did.

"You need to rest dumbass, come on." Iruka didn't have the strength to protest let alone walk so she allowed Katsuki to drag her into the lodge. Ragdoll led them into a room and helped lay out a futon and told Iruka to rest up.

Katsuki gave her strict instructions to not train unless Shouta gave the ok.  She laid down and let herself drift in and out of consciousness until there was a knock on the door.

"Hey kid I've got your Tylenol here," Shouta walked in with the pills and a cup of water. Iruka thanked him and downed the pills and water, allowing relief to wash over her. Iruka tried to get up but was stopped by Shouta.

"Where do you think you're going?"

"To train of course. It isn't fair to anyone if everyone is out there trying their best but I'm here sleeping on my ass."

"Language and you aren't doing nothing, you're resting. There's a difference between pushing yourself and overexerting. Rest for an hour or so, eat your lunch, it's in the kitchen and then maybe you can join the others."

"Maybe?"

"Maybe." Iruka pouted but didn't retaliate so Shouta left the room and left Iruka to properly drift into slumber.

Iruka sat up trying to comprehend her dream but it disappeared from her mind as she looked around the room trying to figure out where she was. Eventually, her grogginess left (as did any memory of her dream) and she finally remembered that she was at the training camp. Her headache was still there but it had eased slightly so she got up to check up on her classmates and to get the ok to train from Shouta. She hadn't known how long she was asleep but it was still light out so she could still train right?

When walking down the hall Iruka looked around. Although Iruka had never been to one it definitely had traditional bathhouse vibes to them. Iruka was at the end of the hall when she saw a boy maybe 6 or 7 years old.

"Your lunch is over there." He said before walking off. Right Lunch I haven't eaten.

Iruka spotted her lunch, it was a tray of rice, miso soup and katsu chicken. She downed it and headed out.

She saw a few of her classmates when she walked out but everyone was pretty spread out. For the most part, Iruka saw Yuuga's beam and some of Katsuki's explosions in the distance. She could spot Shouta but Ragdoll spotted her instead.

"Ito you're up! Seems like your headache is still there, think you're up for some training?"

Iruka blinked in confusion before remembering Ragdoll's quirk was search.

"Oh um ya. I think I am."

"I've been told you're good with your quirk so I think joining Tiger and your other classmate would be good, yes?" Iruka wondered if she really had much of a say in it. "Well, he'll be in a clearing if you head in that direction. I doubt he's hard to miss." Iruka nodded her head and headed to where Ragdoll pointed at.

Eventually, the scent of grass and bark was mixed in with Izuku's scent. He must be training with Tiger as well. Well, it wasn't hard to figure that out. 

Izuku was training with Tiger to build muscle apparently. He seemed to be shouting somewhat encouraging words at the younger boy before he spotted Iruka.

"You're the one that overused your quirk yes?" Iruka gave a quick nod and Tiger gave a nod back before he had her join Izuku in his training.

The sun slowly dipped down, welcoming the darkening sky. Iruka could feel herself shiver from exhaustion. She had no clue how long Tiger had them train but safe to say she'd take training with Shouta any day. Izuku agreed to disagree, saying if this is what it took for him to be the number 1 hero then so be it.

Everyone gathered back to the front of the cabin where Mandalay and Ragdoll waited for them. Shouta, Pixie-Bob and Tiger walking amongst the students.

"Welp you kittens have worked hard so dinner is served for you all!" Mandalay announced as everyone scrambled to a seat.

After chiming a simultaneous 'itadakimasu' everyone dove into the food.

"I hope you don't expect us to make you every meal because we won't," Ragdoll commented but no one seemed to have paid attention as the only thing running through their mind is food.

It didn't take long before chatter filled the table. Iruka could hear Momo talking about her quirk from behind her, Ochaco both terrified and eager to devour the meal next to her (it took Katsuki slamming his fist on the table and threatening Ochaco saying they'd shovel food down her mouth if she didn't just shut up and eat already for her to actually slowly consume it.)

Shouta gave an announcement about sleeping arrangements and where they'd bath and bathroom. He also gave a rundown on a few rules, nothing too abnormal just the usual 'lights out at 10, if you sleep any later that is your responsibility. Though unfortunately (or fortunately depending on who you asked) they would have remedial classes late into the night.

Once everyone had stuffed themselves full, they headed to the back where they would be getting cleaned up in the onsen. It seemed no one was more excited about it than Kyoka because she quickly rinsed herself clean and sank into the bath.

"Someone's excited." Tooru teased.

"I'd be excited if I knew it'd be this nice," Iruka said as she slowly dipped in.

From the other side of the wall, they could hear the boy being rambunctious as ever.

"Hey where's Aoyama at?" Iruka hear Hanta ask.

"He has special permission from Aizawa to take a bath later," Izuku explained.

"Damn I would've loved to see her tits."

"What the fuck Mineta?" Some of the boys yelled out.

"First of all, that's disrespectful in many different ways Mineta. Secondly, Aoyama uses he/him pronounces I implore  you to use them."

"Y'all are boring. Bet she had some flat boobies like Jirou. Yaoyorozu's on the other hand."

"Mineta don't you dare do such disgusting things." There were other yells of protest from the boy's side causing everyone on Iruka's side to panic.

What were they supposed to do? Hide? Fight? The chaos on both sides was silenced by a splash of water.

Iruka didn't have a good view as to what happened but she did see a glimpse of the little boy she saw earlier before he fell over the edge to the other side. A few shouts were heard, specifically was Izuku.

"Iida, what's going on over there?" Momo called out.

"Mineta tried to scale the wall but it seemed the boy from earlier tried to stop him. Mineta grabbed onto him and caused him to fall. Luckily Midoriya caught him before he was injured."

"And Mineta?"

"Will be seeing Aizawa immediately for such horrid behaviour."

Izuku had gone to make sure Kota (according to him that's what his name was) was ok whilst Iida brought Mineta to see Aizawa. 

For a moment no one said anything.

"What do you think is going to happen to him? Mineta I mean." Kyoka asked the others.

"If he doesn't expel him for putting a civilian in danger, disrespecting a classmate and harassing classmates then so help me I will expel him myself," Iruka said.

"Oh to have the power." Tooru hummed.

"Oh come on guys lightened up. Let's talk about something else." Mina bounced out of the water.

"What do you suggest?" Ochaco asked.

"Well, anyone of interest in mind?"

"Gee love interests of course."

"Oh come on Kyoka it's fun. Come on wanna tell us how you look at Kaminari?"

"W-wha- TOORU!" On the other side of the wall, Denki flushed red as he sank down into the water.

"Cut it out you're going to make Pikachu electrocute us all."

"Party poopers," Mina replied. Iruka laughed at her classmates' antics.

Their bath time had become calmer after that. Conversation was throne here and there between the 2 groups but eventually, it was time to get out.

"Kyoka you are getting out?" Momo asked.

"Ya, ya I will I just wanna have the bath to myself, just for a few minutes I'll be out soon don't worry."

"Yaa I'll make sure she gets out Yaomomo." Mina gave a thumbs up and Momo replied with a nod as she and the others went to get changed in their pyjamas.

"You didn't have to stay with me you know."

"I know. Can't have you hogging the bath all to yourself though." They joked.

"Hey, Mina?" 

"Mhhm?"

"Am I weird? For not having dysphoria? I mean-"

"Hey hey hey. You're not weird. Not one bit. You know you that."

"I know, it's just that my body.." Kyouka trailed off.

"You're comfortable with your body aren't you? So long as you are, you are you. Actually no you're you no matter what body you have Kyouka" Mina smiled brightly at her.

Ahh yes the beginning of the training camp arc.
