The halls were filled with the chatter of students and fell on deaf ears as it's pushed back into the background of the trio walking towards the cafeteria. Iruka had something to say but didn't know how to make the words leave her tongue.

"Something on your mind Iruka?" Mezo asked.

"Oo I actually want to invite you guys to I-Island next week." 

"I-Island? That moving island?" Iruka nodded.

"I've got extra tickets so I thought I'd bring you guys."

"Thanks for the offer Iruka but um someone else actually already offered me." Mezo scratched the back of his neck.

"Heh??" Iruka and Hitoshi exclaimed at the same time.

"Why didn't you tell me," Hitoshi looked at him with fake betrayal.

"I haven't exactly accepted the offer because I didn't really want to leave you behind so I was hoping it would be something Iruka would bring up." 

"Aww that's sweet Mezo. But how did you know I'd bring this up?"

"Well Bakugo has got a ticket so I thought he might give it to Midoriya, or at least one of you would, then there would be an extra."

"How the heck do you know Bakugo has got tickets?"

"The top 4 in the sports festival all got tickets." Iruka eyed Mezo rather suspiciously.

"Well I don't know who you're going with but I'm sure you'll have fun, Mezo. Anyways, do you want to come with me 'Toshi?"

"Wait why didn't you ask Midoriya?"

"He's going with a family friend. Kacchan is going to be going with someone else. So?"

"Uh sure? I'm not sure yet. I'll have to ask my parents of course."

"Perfect!" Iruka clapped her hands together. "I'll send you details about it tonight and you can ask your parents."

Iruka slowly placed the streamers around the room. Katsuki, Mitsuki and Inko were in the kitchen cooking and baking while Shota and Masaru helped Iruka with decorations.

"Where exactly did Hizashi say he was taking Izuku?" Masaru asked.

"Who knows. I think he wanted to buy groceries at first but I doubt it would've taken this long. I just told him to distract Izuku all day."

"Good thing Uncle Zashi is great at distractions." 

They had an entire day to set up everything.  It was 15 July and thankfully a Saturday. Giving the 3 families the chance to have a get-together and celebrate Izuku and Hizashi's (because he was a July baby and deserved a proper celebration) birthday.

"Wanna bet where Papa dragged Izu?"

"Music store." Everyone said in unison.

"Well not much to bet on."

Hizashi himself had been tasked to distract Izuku all day, unaware he to would be surprised when they arrived at the Midoriya home.

"Hizashi is just that predictable, it can't be helped," Inko commented.

"Don't let the villains hear that." Mitsuki laughed.

"Papa isn't that predictable in a battle. At least not predictable enough to be defeated in a villain fight."

"Ya but predictable enough to be hunted down. I swear it'll be his downfall."

"Katsuki don't say something like that!" Mitsuki smacked them over the head.

"Do these look good?"

"They look great Iruka. Could you help tie these over in that corner?" Iruka nodded before grabbing the balloons.

"So anything you want to get for yourself listener?"

"I don't know. I haven't had much I wanted in a while." Hizashi hummed in response.

"Does that mean you're content with everything you have now?"

"Well ya. I haven't had the time to think about what I don't have. I have more than I could've dreamed of right now."

"I'm actually glad to hear it. A lot of people tend to dwell on what they don't have, missing out on the amazing things they do have and regretting it later." 

The two of them hopped out of the car and headed up. As told Hizashi did text Shota he was nearby so they could all get all the last touches done so it was no surprise to him when as they entered the home the lights were all off.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU GUYS!" But that certainly was.

Pops of confetti went off around them. Iruka dragged the two of them towards the living room that had been very well decorated. A homemade banner was hung in the middle of one of the walls that had 'Happy Birthday Izuku & Hizashi' written on it.

Hugs went around as Inko and Mitsuki brought out dinner for everyone to enjoy and enjoy they did. As usual, chatter and laughter filled the air, as well as some tears from Izuku and Inko.

"Happy Birthday my sweet Izuku." Inko hugged him tightly as tears ran down her face.

"Thank you, mom. Th-Thank you everyone."

Those tears only became heavier when Izuku noticed Katsuki was there. No one could really blame him, this was his first time spending his birthday with the blond since they were 5. The previous year, at best Katsuki got him a gift unsure if he was close enough to him to celebrate his birthday together.

Overall it was one of the best birthday's Izuku has ever had in his entire life.

Sunday afternoon class 1-a gathered around as they await everyone's arrival at the mall, one by one. strings of chatter broke about among them to pass the time. Mezo was conversing away with Fumikage. The news about Mezo and Hitoshi's questioning presence was soon answered and spread around as Mezo explained to Fumikage, clearing up the confusion. Not long after, everyone had arrived and was updated about the news as to not be left out. So with brief introductions aside and everyone's arrival they now had to figure what it is they would be doing.

Some needed to buy sports attire of some kind, others required toiletries for their travels so Eijirou brought up a suggestion.

"What if we split up? We could all meet here in an hour and grab some grub." 

And that's how Iruka, Hitoshi, Izuku and Ochaco were left on their own.

"So is there anything specific you guys want to get?" Iruka questioned the three.

"I'm going to need some new sports shoes," Izuku said.

"Well I'm in need of some formal wear so I guess we could split into pairs?" Hitoshi suggested

"Sounds good Shinso. Deku could I come with you?"

"Oh uh ya sure." The two went in the opposite direction, Ochaco cheerily waving at them.

"Well that leaves the two of us," Iruka stated as she waved back before turning to Hitoshi.

"Do you want to grab a drink at Starbucks before we start our shopping spree?"

"Oo yes please! Should I get a caramel frappe or an ice mango tea?"

"My answer would be coffee."

"Caramel frappe- Oh." When they reached Starbucks it was incredibly crowded and Iruka outwardly cringed at the thought of having to be squished in a store with so many people.

When Hitoshi noticed this he offered to queue up and have Iruka just wait outside for him, maybe even look at the stores nearby to see if there was anything she wanted to get. Iruka happily obliged and decided she'd just wait outside the store.

Iruka took out her phone to look over any messages she might have missed when she felt a shiver run down her spine. It was as though the temperature had dropped because something was definitely of. Iruka noticed a certain smell in the air but before she could even react there was already a hand on her neck.

"Do not cause a scene I just want to talk." It was that horribly raspy voice.

*it is gonna be a pain in my ass to remember 1. Everyone's text patterns and 2. French... Like I want as many of the forgotten characters (ie Yuuga, Mashirao, Rikido, Koji, Mezo) to be active in this fic but damn I'm pretty sure Yuuga uses wayyyy more french then I ever will (read: I know 3 words in French)

**Yes its late into the fic and with the way the messaging app is it doesn't really make sense to introduce urself but I didn't know any other way to bring this up this late into the story

Also also speaking of text patterns, I can never get Fumikage's speach pattern down properly so if y'all know how the hell they talk I wouldn't mind seeing suggestions of it in the comments.
