Tw: Canon violence

Izuku smiled up at the screen. Iruka just finished her final and he couldn't be prouder. It was exhilarating watching his classmates' exams. Izuku embraced Iruka's hug(more like pounce) with open arms when she rushed in.

Although a little bummed when she noticed Katsuki was nowhere to be seen, which meant he didn't see her final, she wasn't going to get all pissy because of it. Katsuki was sure off somewhere clearing his head before his final.

Tooru had gone off to celebrate with some of the other girls at the cafeteria which left Izuku and Iruka in the viewing room watching Yuuga and Ochaco's final.

The ride to their battleground was eerily quiet. It was only 5 minutes before they had to get on their transportation that Izuku finally saw Katsuki. When greeted, the blonde looked ready to murder. They were angry about something but Izuku could never have been sure. 

During the ride, Katsuki had this odd murderous aura around him which in turn led to the silence. All Might didn't seem to get the memo, the oblivious dope that he is, he tried to give some kind of advice but had fallen onto literal deaf ears as both boys stayed in their little bubbles

"You have 5 minutes of preparation." A robotic voice bounced through the arena.

"Kacchan I think we should make some kind of plan," Izuku started but it was as though the other had turned off his hearing aids or something because they kept their back turned. "Kacchan I think we should-"

"What's going to happen is I'm going to fight All Might and you're going to stay out of my goddamn way Deku."

"Your exam begins now." And Katsuki was off without another word.

Izuku chased after him of course, well tried to at least because the blond had disappeared into thin air.

"I wonder where young Midoriya might be hmm?" All Might questioned as he pinned Katsuki to the wall. He had chased after All Might only to get beat to the earth. Even with his handicap, All Might was more than capable of beating Katsuki head on which effectively left them with a few broken bones at the very least.

The younger blond sent an explosion to the older's head allowing them to slip away for a spur of his attacks. Not taking a second to hesitate or rest.

"I'll beat you on my own without that damn Nerd!" Katsuki yelled, frustrated at the very mention of Izuku's name.

"A hero cannot be a hero on their own Young Bakugo." Pausing to try to get some sense knocked(quite literally) into Katsuki.

"If I have to get help from a weakling like him then I'd rather lose this. You hear me?" He felt so weak. So frustrated with himself. Frustrated that no matter how much he did, no matter how much work he put in they would always fall short. He would always end up just behind Izuku.

All Might saw the look of defeat but before doing anything Katsuki was knocked to the ground, not by All Might but by Izuku.

"Don't you dare say you'd rather lose! Don't you dare say that!" Izuku yelled sending Katsuki tumbling back. "Let's win this Kacchan," He grabbed Katsuki and got out of there as quickly as he could.

Izuku had been debating to just run towards the exit and get them both out of there but the exit was back towards where All Might was. Lucky him.

"Put me down Deku!"

"I'll put you down but you'll hear me out." Izuku was firm with his words for once and in turn, Katsukiu grunted before being placed on the ground. "I'm not saying you're not strong enough Kacchan but we can't fight All Might, not head-on and you know that. We can make a plan,"

"Spit it out Deku." 

"We can't fight him head-on but with my power, we can get out of here. We have a chance at winning this if we just-" 

BANG!

"Stop your damn mumbling and listen good because I'm not repeating myself" Katsuki had sent a blast right at the wall next to Izuku's ear making it ring slightly. He pulled back to be able to use his hands. "All Might's speed is insane, no matter what you can't run or hide from him.

"Ya but-"

"Shut the hell up and listen! We can't run from him. The only way to have even a chance is to use full-blown attacks, he learned that when I used my mini-explosions so this is what we're going to do." Katsuki gave an idea and Izuku made a plan. They didn't need a lot of words to lay their plan out so after just a brief moment they were off.

"They're going separate ways again." Mic pointed out.

"Ya, I can see that Mic." Because Katsuki and Izuku were the last teams, a few teachers were around to watch how it would go down. Some students like Iruka, Ochaco and Tenya lingered around but that was pretty much it.

"But they barely said anything to each other," Cementoss commented,

"They didn't need to," Iruka explained. She had been watching the entire time. Watching and wondering what the hell was going through her friend's mind. It was as though they were fighting each other more than they were fighting their opponent.

Come on guys you can't lose here.

Katsuki blasted through a window catching All Might's attention. A sneak attack seemed obvious. 

The blond sent attack after attack, filling the air with smoke to blind All Might. The older had nowhere to go but kept a close eye on Katsuki which led to his first trip up.

"NOW DEKU!" All Might turned barely fast enough to get blinded and sent back by a massive explosion.

Izuku had used one of Katsuki's gauntlets to make a big enough explosion to both blind and distract All Might though the backlash felt like it broke his shoulder.

"Fucking move Deku!" Katsuki yelled out as he flew above Izuku while the latter still tried to process what he had done.

Quickly they both headed towards the exit but of course their final wouldn't be that easy. All Might had caught up to them much faster than they had anticipated. Before even being able to react All Might had destroyed both gauntlets. He kneed Katsuki, which sent them hurtling to one side and as Izuku tried to help his arm was tugged backwards and before his body could even follow Izuku was body-slammed right into Katsuki.

"I see you both managed to work together, albeit reluctantly but teamwork nonetheless, too bad it isn't enough." All Might held Izuku's almost limp body in one hand and had Katsuki crushed under his foot.

He's strong, too strong. He doesn't just have power he is power. He's unstoppable and I'm just-

"That's not a face a hero should make Young Midoriya." All Might spoke out before tossing Izuku aside. "Now with Young Bakugo's gauntlets destroyed you've both lost your firepower, it's over."

Katsuki was pissed. Pissed he had to team up with Deku. Pissed that he couldn't beat All Might. But most of all he was pissed that All Might thought this was going to be the end of it. If the exam was going to end it would end on their terms, not All Might's.

"SHUT UP!" Katsuki yelled out as he flicked his wrist and sent a massive explosion directly in All Might's face again. In one swift motion, Katsuki grabbed onto Izuku and sent him flying into the air directly towards the gate. If an escape was the only way to go then an escape it shall be.

As Izuku was mid-flight All Might had used his full force to slam Izuku out of the air and crashing into a vehicle effectively knocking him out with several broken bones.

"Those gauntlets were so I could use my full power without getting injured but I guess that was plain stupid." Katsuki's arms felt like they could be melting, but he couldn't end this without their quirk.

He sent as many explosions as he could as they ran towards Izuku. The other was barely awake enough to comprehend anything that was happening. Katsuki barely had a grip on Izuku before All Might rushed at them again sending Izuku flying.

His vision blurred and his head felt like it would split open but Izuku heard explosions which meant something was wrong. He didn't quite understand where he was but at the very least he knew Katsuki was around, those explosions were unmistakable. So when he finally managed to move and look at where Katsuki was he saw All Might pinning their head to the ground.

Izuku didn't know what was going on but Katsuki was in pain so he had to do something. Izuku got up and led himself to a lamppost that laid on the floor. He didn't know what he was doing but if watching baseball with Hizashi had taught him anything is that he had to swing and swing hard. 

He had used the lamp post to baseball hit All Might off of Katsuki* before losing his balance completely and falling forward. Katsuki saw this, caught Izuku before hitting the ground and ran. He didn't care if All Might was behind him all he knew is this had to end so he just ran.

Somehow luck was finally by their side because All Might had finally run out of time, allowing the two teens to escape.

Katsuki fell to his knees best he could without injuring Izuku the second they had passed. He was tired and he could feel himself burn from the inside out.

"Ka-cc-chan, where we?" Izuku mumbled.

"Doesn't matter Deku just go to sleep." Katsuki laid Izuku in their lap, hopefully relieving some kind of pain

"Mhhmm. You k?" 

"Fine Deku. It's over. We're fine." Izuku hummed again before closing his eyes. The second he did Katsuki let out a sob. He covered his mouth but tears fell anyway. They held Izuku tight in his arms as though he was going to disappear into thin air.

"I never want to do that shit again." Katsuki rasped before he too embraced the dark slumber.

"What,"

"The,

"FUCK WAS THAT?"

"Language!"

Iruka inhaled deeply. Relieved her friends passed and were actually alive but she was very damn well pissed.

"Iida I need murder advice." Iruka deadpanned.

"I'm sorry what??"

"Ito thats-"

"How illegal is it for me to murder my teacher that so happens to be the number 1 hero but also the number 1 villain on my list?" Iruka turned to Shoyta.

"Very so don't you dare make an example of Iida and that's final."

"Sir I-"

"HE ALMOST KILLED MY BEST FRIENDS SO I'M GONNA MURDER HIM INSTEAD!" Iruka stomped away but Shota caught her with his scarf.

"Wait your turn. I'm sure he wouldn't mind a few words from me."

"Fine." Iruka huffed before plopping on the ground, seething.

"I- what just happened?" Ochaco questioned.

Once Iruka cooled down a little she headed towards the infirmary.

At first, Tenya and Ochaco wanted to follow along, but Shota insisted that only 1 student checks on them so as not to disrupt their rest. Though the reality was that All Might was in his small form.

Iruka learned from the last few times to knock instead of simple barging in which thankfully worked when Recovery let her in.

She hesitantly stepped in and spotted Izuku awake, chatting away to All Might, Katsuki asleep in the bed next to him.

"Izu!" Iruka whisper yelled as she rushed to his bedside. She would've hugged him but she didn't think that was a safe bet after what he just went through. "How are you feeling?"

"Not too bad. Recovery Girl healed my bones best she could. I've still got a headache so I appreciate the whispering though I think that's more so for Kacchan's sake. Oh, but my vision isn't blurry anymore."

"That sounds good Izu. Get some more rest k?" Izuku hummed in response. Iruka turned on her heel this time facing All Might.

"Young Aizawa if I may-"

"No. No, you may not. Not until I've put my 2 cents in that thick skull of yours." Iruka growled making the blond turn away slightly. "Did I not tell you before if anything happened to them I would gut you alive? Their bloody children All Might! And you treated them like dogs that attacked you or something. You not only broke their bones, which mind you for once Izuku didn't break himself, you also almost killed them and I'm pretty sure you gave Kacchan psychological trauma which they very much do not need so when you get home I hope you think very and I mean very thoroughly through what it means to be a teacher for the next generation. Do you understand?" 

"Yes,"

"I'm sorry?" Iruka pretended she didn't hear.

"Yes, I understand." The blond's head hung low, ashamed at what he had just been told.

"Good and I damn hope you do because if this bullshit happens again I'm going to commit an actual crime."

"Iruka!" Recovery Girl and Izuku yelled in a unison.

"Well I best get going to the cafeteria, I promised Ochaco and Iida I'd be with them a soon as I was done checking up on you guys. Anything you want in particular Izu?" 

"Oh um juice maybe?"

"Sure thing. Rest up Izu I'll come back in a bit."

"Right sure. Uh, you don't have to rush." Iruka gave a smile before heading out.

Iruka shut the door behind her before walking off into the silent hall.

"I- I'm really sorry about her All Might she-"

"No, it's alright Young Midoriya. She was right I shouldn't have been so hard on you like that."

"Damn well you shouldn't have. Iruka isn't the only one you're going to get a good talking from."

*ok so to my memory this is what actually happened but after rewatching the show apparently not.

Ok so before PHA goes on a 2 week break (I'm sorry this was so abrupt) there's a few things I want to say.

1. This is the end of this arc. I'm sorry it was so short lived.

2. Do you guys prefer more filler-y chapters (bonding chapters, what students do in free time etc) or do you guys prefer more canon arc focused chapters (I think that's what I was going for earlier in the fic

3. At what point should I give spoilers? This more for another piece since this fic follows the canon timeline closely

4. Spoiler for future chapters: I am currently writing the provisional license arc and I'm trying to find reasons Katsuki fails. Unfortunately Katsuki failing plays a big part in this fic but due to his personality in this universe he doesn't fail because of the same reasons as in canon

I dont know why but the scene at the end of that exam with Katsuki and Izuku is one of my favourite scenes.
