42 War Cry
POV Hiccup
"What are you going to do with that thing?" I yelled when I swung at a shadow beast that kept on following us while we ran on the streets.
"We need to change the process or he can keep the whole world dark. Sun stone is meant to keep balance and to good things but now they've turned it to pure black darkness by hate and evil doings and everything is going wrong!" Rapunzel replied when she glanced at the stone that she had tightly wrapped in a cloth.
"Okay. So how are we changing it?" Shawn questioned.
I was occupied though, the shadow beast that I just slashed in two had exploded on all over the road into tiny piles of black sand. And now the sand was vibrating like electricity was moving it and in horror I watch how they form characters, rodents to be exact. Dozens of glowing red eyed rats made out of black sand caused shivers go up on my spine.
"Ugh, you might have to hurry," I cheered nervously. We had ran out of ammo that could make them golden sand again and stop their attack. It took all we got to get into that tower and have the stone back. The sky was still unchanged, dark as night even though sun should be up high in this time of the day. We can't even see the stars or the moon by the black curtain that has taken over everything.
"I can see your point," Shawn yelled.
He was running first but his way was cut off when the rats swarmed to block our path. Slowly he took couple steps back and I look behind us. We're surrounded by them.
Rapunzel squeezed the stone in her arms as if it needed protection.
"We're deeply in it," I whispered.
Just then they began to run with their little feet, their teeth were clicking together and I imagined how they would bite into my skin like into cheese.
"Look out!" Rapunzel warned Shawn as they were coming from his right and left.
I pulled one out of Rapunzels back as she screamed. I don't know if it was more of horror or disgust why she was yelling but it sounded horrible.
"AGH!" Shawn yelled and waved his hand. I saw how one of them was biting into him and then it flew in the air down to the ground.
Shawn was holding his bleeding hand and gritting his teeth from pain. I stare at the black sand rat and golden glow starts to appear on its lifeless surface.
"I knew it Shawn ! You have the light in you," Rapunzel giggled and ran to puzzled looking Shawn.
She took his hand that was bleeding and my eyes widened from shock when drops of vivid red began to drop on the piece of simple rock. It began to sparkle golden light that spread until the whole rock was this golden, shimmering thing that reminded me of the sun.
"Dude your blood is gold," I mumbled.
Shawn was again holding his hand. "I have explaining to do I guess but we have to continue," Shawn exhaled.
The rats kept their distance now. The light from the stone seemed to be poison to them. Golden rat poison, that's epic!
It wasn't hard to know where the battle was going on. In the centre near the castle the sky was full of nightmare like critters that let out screeching sounds. From close they were clearly bats.
Battle was fierce, Anna and Astrid were side by side fighting against a black nightmare bear. It was big and its breath steamed in the air. They kept on avoiding its attacks but they hardly did any damage.
"I need to help them out," I yelled to Shawn and Rapunzel.
"We will get over there," Shawn pointed out.
Shock took over my body. I saw Captain Frost down on the ground, holding Elsa in his arms.
A sudden cold breeze passed us and I saw Colonel Moon pulling his son, Frost up from the ground. They look up and I see the reason for all this. Pitch Black, riding a flying creature. Both Colonel Moon and Captain Frost fly up in the air and I see sparks like freezing electricity being casted towards Black. Son and father fight side by side.
All around me golden sand keeps dropping down like fairy dust . The Captain's have arrived, Captain Toothiana is circling in the air, flying through bat swarms and demolishing them. Captain Bunnymund uses his boomerang that flies around the battle field. Captain North is fighting against three horses and Sandy is using a whip which when it touches an enemy turns it into golden one immediately. Every creature that Sandy gets into golden one joins into the battle at our side.
"Finally," Hiro sighed. I could hear his voice again after a while of silence.
"Where have you been," I asked when I rushed to aid Astrid and Anna.
"Trying to fix the connection, these bats got it messed up," Hiro sighed.
Something roared behind me.
"That sounds like..." I gulped while turning around.
I see how something big gets onto its two feet. Now I'm staring eye to eye with a bear from hell. It opens its mouth for another roar and I notice that even the sharp teeth of his are blacker than anything I have ever seen. In a moment I realize that I have nothing to battle against it, all of my ammo is gone.
I dodge the first swung of its paw. Then I dodge the second attempt but it was quick with doing a combo attack. It hit me with its other paw and I fell to ground. It got down to four feet and circled around me as I tried to crawl away from it on my back.
"You have any of those robots?" I whimpered to Hiro as he was only one I could reach out to now. Everyone had their battles and I was alone. Big mistake.
"No but I have –" Hiro began when I heard something whistling in the air.
"AAAH!" I screamed when the bears face was getting close to mine. The weight of it was enormous.
I prepared for it to rip my artery into shreds, me bleeding to death. Instead I just had hard time to breathe as it laid lifeless on top of me.
I gasped when the bear exploded into golden dust that flew down around me.
"Need a hand?" I heard Merida's voice.
I picked up an arrow that rested on my chest, she must have pierced the bear with it.
I took her hand and she pulled me up.
"Thanks," was all I could exhale and she smiled. Toothless was worryingly staring at me next to her with her dog, Angus.
We rushed to help Anna and Astrid but first Merida shot their bear down with a clean shot straight into bears head.
POV Jack
"Dodge," Colonel Moon shouted when Pitch used a scythe attached in a chain.
It flew past me when I flew to left. Pitch pulled the scythe back from its chain and glared at us.
"One three we freeze that ugly thing under him," he whispered before dodging the same scythe I did.
"THREE!" We yelled in unison as we shot our powers at Pitch. However he managed to dodge it as well.
"Is that all you have? I thought that you both would be...tougher," Pitch laughed.
I gritted my teeth together and my hands clenched into fists. We must end this. I must end him. When I began barging forward something flew past me. It came from ground.
Something screamed behind me and I see how a black vulture drops down after freezing. It shatters right next to Elsa. She is panting and holding her hand in air. Seeing her standing again makes me feel better, her being there gives me strength.
"I told you," my father tells me when I stare back at Pitch. My hand goes to my pocket and my fingers touch the locket, the one that I gave her. I feel the metal, how it has bended when a bullet hit on it. But the locket withstood the bullet and protected her heart. The gift I gave her had protected her life.
"Shut up and work with me here dad," I snapped as Pitch laughed at us.
We built up an arctic storm. It got Pitch scared and suddenly we hear singing from the ground.
"Flower gleam and glow, let your power shine..."
It was Rapunzel. Her hair was glowing like gold and Shawn was holding something round and golden in his hands, pointing it at the sky.
Rays of light pointed out from the rock that I assumed being the Sun Stone. The rays hit the dark clouds and the light of the sun was coming down. I glance at Pitch.
He was scared.
Scared, dodging at the small rays of the sun which were now coming through the clouds he had created. We would now win this war. This is our chance.
We attacked him, first we froze the thing he was riding on. The sound of his screams when he fell felt satisfying.
And then we trapped him to the pile of snow that we created. The soft snow mattress froze around him when he landed.
"Please, I think we can work this out," Pitch laughed nervously when me and dad landed.
I just glared at him. His whole presence was disgusting.
"Shut up bastard," I hissed.
"But Jack, we had so much fun.. you must feel it too?" He whispered and smiled deviously which made me furious.
"I didn't ask you to speak," I roared while my anger built up.
"Finally you will face judgment from your actions Black," my father said like to a normal felony maker.
"Judgment? He needs to die!" I shouted when I prepared to freeze him to death.
I raised my hand but then Elsa ran between me and Pitch.
"Jack, no.. let him be sentenced. Don't lose the man inside you, don't turn into him by doing something so horrible," she begged.
I stared at her. The sun was shining brightly, warming up the place. All of Pitch's creatures had vanished since they needed the dark. My hand dropped to my side and she smiled warmly even though her expression was tired.
"Fine... " I sighed and then I look over her shoulder "That's only because I made her in charge at this battle field you scum," I hissed at Pitch.
"You need healing."
Corona headed over to me and I tried to wiggle free from her grasp when she began to put her hair around my body. It was really weird.
"I'm fine, really.. The wounds will heal fully soon because my body can recover faster than others," I mumbled.
When I tried to pull my arm from her hands Corona glared at me and I gave up.
"Flower Gleam and Glow," she sang and her hair began to glow in golden shade.
"Let your power shine"
"PUNZ LOOK OUT!"
Fitzherbert ran towards us and everything happened in an instance.
I saw how a suspicious looking woman with black curly hair appeared from alley nearby.
"Kill them," Pitch laughed as Fitzherbert rushed to the woman holding a knife.
The woman screamed and Corona let go of my hand to cover the gasp that escaped from her lips. That woman managed to stab Fitzherbert to chest before rushing to Corona. She grasped to Corona's hair and cut it to short. I witnessed how her golden hair turned into brown one.
"No! You fool I said kill them and no haircut doings Gothel!" Pitch shouted. Both Elsa and I recovered from our shock to freeze the woman.
Corona went over to Fizherbert, her tears streamed down and fell on him while he was gasping for air.
"No! Eugene! I told you not to run... I'm sorry, I couldn't stop him when he heard that you are here Rapunzel," Hamada cried. He had been running directly after Fitzherbert, begging him to wait.
"ATTACK!" Pitch roared and I saw how my father froze his mouth shut. Finally.
From the alleys shadows a big wave of Pitch's followers began to rush into the scene. However they were powerless against us and quickly we had all 20 of them captured.
Our attention went back to Fitzherbert. He was being embraced by Corona.
"Her tears healed him," Shawn exhaled from relief. I felt his hand on my shoulder, squeezing it tightly.
"Good," I replied simply as I look over my shoulder. I was happy to see my brother alright and he was happy to see me.
When he let go of my shoulder I felt air leaving my lungs. A distant sound of helicopter was reaching my ears when I look over to see what caused the feeling of sudden suffocation.
My arms wrap around her body for a moment and I inhale her scent. After everything she had come to hug me. No words were needed.
"Jack," I heard Shawn's worried voice and just before I realized I was being grabbed and pulled away from her.
"Oh you dear Jack," I stared at Ursula. She was here with her two right hands Flotsam and Jetsam. "Again taking advantage over your own squad member? You naughty boy... we have to bring you into military court," she laughed.
"He isn't--," Elsa began. I saw from her expression that she would be ready to fight for me.
"Shut up bitch," I laughed. "Yeah, she was easy meat... sorry babe, we had fun while it lasted. No hard feelings.. except in my pants," I said mockingly.
Gladly Shawn went over to her when she looks at me in shocked state.
"Poor gal, being used by a cold heartless beast in bed," Ursula hummed. Her grin was disgusting.
They brought me to the helicopter which I had heard earlier. It was parked outside the city of Arendelle in a wide field.
"What will you do to Pitch?" I asked angrily.
"Another chopper will land right after we leave," Ursula looks at me down by her nose.
I notice my father in the helicopter too.
"Why don't you read us the things we're accused of," my father asked from her when our eyes met. His presence calmed me down a bit.
"You are accused of leaving your duties and doing against orders when you joined the battle," Ursula replied and then stared at me with a devious grin.
"And we have evidence of him forcing his squad member into sexual acts. Military forces doesn't like that kind of behavior from their Captain's.. poor little girl.. being abused," Ursula laughed.
I turn my head away.
"Are neither of you trying to deny their accusations?" She insisted.
"No," we both replied.
I hear how the helicopters engines start. The metallic cuffs rub my wrists while I stare at the ground which is getting further away. We're being shipped to trial to hear our sentences because of our actions.
Ursula goes to sit on front, leaving us with her followers.
"It will be fine Jack," dad sounded comforting like a father should.
I lift my head up and I look into his eyes.
"Thanks...dad," I smiled to him. It has been first time in a long time that I called him 'dad'.
The other helicopter lands down to ground to get Pitch. A weight lifts up from my shoulders, it feels like when the war ended so did all the hiding and secrets.
